All the De Gea abuse in this thread for that goal is beyond shameful, fecking clowns. Come for me to stomp on your tendon to see who is "pussy".

Mctominay and Rashford are both passengers, at least one has to be off at half time.

Their goal was farcical, worst part was their celebration afterwards. There is no foul though and DDG could have made an effort to play to whistle though.

If rashford appears for second half, with all the options we have, Carrick doesn't have what it takes to be a manager
You can add Fred too but there is more options to take Rashford off

this is a ridiculous take l.ol its a professional game not a charity event. There was no head injury, DDG was injured by his own player and went down like a sack of potatoes (probably thought it was an arsenal player). Game on. United responded appropriately with the goal.
Nope, Arsenal should have allowed parity in my opinion.
We've seen it by Bielsa for example, Leeds refused to put the ball out and scored, yet allowed parity.
It's sportsmanship, not charity. I'd expect United to do the same and I'd be disappointed if they didn't.

Yet we know what Arsenal are like, refusing to give the ball back to Leeds the other week after Leeds out the ball out for an injured Arsenal player.

I know what Shearer is saying but he’s clearly taken out. Being up a minute later doesn’t mean much, he wasn’t killed
Nah, he's spot on. It's laughable, honestly. If you are hurt, you can fall to the ground? Yeah, of course. You grab your foot? Sure. You curl into a ball and turn your back on play and, knowing the whistle hasn't blown, keep your back to play and stay still? No, sorry. That's what actors and liars refer to as "committing to the bit" and sporting people refer to as "weak, cowardly and unprofessional"

A question I have for the ref: as he went to blow the whistle when De Gea was lying prone and he saw him, did he pull away the whistle?
Shearer actually explained why he thinks he did and it makes sense.

He didn't see it happen, keepers down injured, VAR will cancel the goal for a FK hut it happened to be his own man.

Ronaldo so selfish as well, we would've scored probably few minutes before Arsenal's goal if he passed it to Rashford.

Seriously though when will people admit that Rashford is completely shite. Greenwood is levels above him in his general play.
He’s not shite, he’s scored 20 plus goals last season ffs. He’s out of form and coming off an injury.

    But he’s playing poorly yes.

Been saying this for ages. Rashford just doesn't have a footballing brain, he's like Theo Walcott - all athlete, no football. Also, I've never seen someone so fast, slow games down so much.

Does your hyperbolic bullshit make Fred an 11/10 now?
If you think Fred's first half performance was anything other than overall shockingly bad, I don't know what to say.

We've seen midfields of Keane and Scholes and Carrick and Scholes. I don't enjoy being served up this shit in midfield.

People saying Arsenal should have put the ball out, not taken the shot out of sportsmanship, can you imagine their reaction if they do that and then see it was Fred that fouled De Gea.

I can only think DDG thought he had been fouled not realising it was clumsy old Fred stamping on his ankle, other wise he should be up pain or no pain and save that weakish shot.
That would mean he's blind  There was only Fred there right in front of him

Watch any challenge on the Achilles. Everybody goes down the same way, like a sack of shit.
even if he gets up he isn’t diving to save it

The Arsenal goal is just bizarre. I guess technically it should stand, it's just annoying thsy the ref didn't stop it and in hindsight, De Gea wasn't really hurt so he should not have been down there so long. We played a lot better from there and probably deserved the goal. I was surprised Fred did something positive for the goal because before he was shocking to be honest.

Also why do we have Rashford right and Sancho left? Surely everyone is in agreement they are both much better the other way around.

Once a keeper is down injured the ref should be stopping the game, regardless of how the injury occurred, you can't allow a game to go on with the keeper immobilised. If he thinks the keeper's simulating then he can book him but there's absolutely no reason to allow the play to progress to the point where a goal is scored and now he can't do anything about it because it was his teammate so a foul can't be called, inept from the ref.

We've actually been half decent. Our press at times has been organized and we've had sustained periods of possession in the opponent's half. But again it's the individuals who are letting us down.

Fred has been diabolical in midfield, showed good awareness for the assist but that's all he's done. DDG looked too soft for that goal but maybe it was more painful than it looked. Ronaldo has made some bad decisions in attack and Rashford on the right is missing as usual.

Sancho has been terrific though. Him and Bruno look like the only players who knows how to measure a perfect pass, our goal is on him. Telles and McT have been quite solid too.

At some point Greenwood should come on for Rashford. We've got enough on the bench to win this.

Unpopular opinion - don't think we need to start Ronaldo in every game. By all means sub him on for PL, maybe start a select few, but keep him nice and motivated for CL games and other cup games. Not blaming him for anything, just think it might be something to think about going forward..
Not too unpopular at the moment. I think we'd see him less often if Cavani were fit. I miss Cavani.

    VdB is a must.

VdB isn't incredible but atleast he can pass 10 yards more often than not.

I get you, players should only ever go down if they need to be taken off.

Your opinion is just daft. You've decided he's down because he's soft rather than the actual events.
Yea it's mad. There's plenty of times he bumps into the post etc, even happened in the past few games and he always plays on until until ball is cleared then goes down.

He was stood on, it hurt and he thought he'd get a fk

He doesn't have it. He is an idiot. Even if we win today. My nephew was coached by him and he said he was the worst.

Of course Rashford has been awful. He has been pretty much every time he's played this season. It's beyond me why he gets a pass for consistently sh&t performances. He's got the willpower of corpse.
Aren’t corpses pretty much dead on?

Fine I’ll clarify his general play is shite. No passing, poor in tight areas, average vision. Just drives me up the wall. For all the criticism Greenwood takes, he would never serve up performances this poor in his general play.

Completely agree with Shearer, De Gea should've stayed on his feet but it's not a surprise the timid one went down.
Yes, stay on feet after getting studs of metal planted in the side of the foot. Let see next time some player get tackle or being stepped on.

The anti ManUtd people love to kick us little bit more when We are not performing well. ABUism when it is finest.
