Official. Classy guy, stepped up and left.

Guys like Keane were doubting his character saying he should be ashamed to be at the club after Ole, now you know why he stayed.

Dig up stupid!
Wow

RR almost certainly wants his own men in, he probably wasn't offered a role he was comfortable with. Better to leave I guess, shame but perhaps a necessary part of the rebuild

Wish him all the best, brilliant servant to the club

Great player, hope he finds a managerial role at another club.

Harsh to announce it immediately after a win like that but the correct decision by the club to let him go.

Interesting, but hopefully it's a Rangnick call.

Sounds like it’s his decision to walk. Respect for making the right call. Good luck to him.

I wanted him out but now it's official, just like with Ole, it is pretty sad. It's for the best, though.

Nice one. Gets the best send off. Positioned now to get a chance somewhere. Wonder how Phelan and McKenna feel

That’s a shock; sad to see him go but grateful for all he’s given us over all his time here.

Best of luck to him. A good bloke that no doubt tried his hardest and hopefully has a good career ahead of him but it’s time for fresh ideas in the coaching team.

He certainly goes on a high.

Thank you steadying the ship.

Thanks Carrick. Best of luck to you in the future. Brilliant job as a caretaker to stop the rot and give the next manager a boost in terms of results.

Hopefully you become a successful manager in the future.

Interesting, I feel bad for the stick he took now. He was obviously just there to steady the ship.

Knew from his pressers that sonething was up. His answers about working with Ralf were bizarrely unenthusiastic and I said as much.

Loved him as a player. Handled himself so well this week. Hope he comes back one day.

Shame. Hopefully he get a managers job somewhere else. Plenty of teams in the championship give young managers a chance.

It is the correct decision, sad that another great servant has gone, but it leaves a clean slate for Ragnick.
