Is there a place for Rashford as a regular starter?

When was the last time he looked good ? Two seasons ago ?

Currently he can't hold the ball, dribble, pass or run past defenders.

On numerous occasions dalot and bruno have had the ball near the arsenal box and he's isn't arsed enough to make a run.
We could excuse his effort last year due to his shoulder injury. I'm sure it was sore, he wasn't even jumping for any headers. Except he's not even jumping for headers now either. So is his the new Rashford or is he still hurt?

Not good enough to be a regular every single game. Should be rotated with Sancho, Greenwood, and even martial (if martial can find some form). We have too much talent at his positions to say anyone is a regular, considering none of these players really have had any stretches of good form this season.

Why was he played on the right? He never plays well on the right, that's why we bought sancho... They didn't even swap when they were both playing shite, no one at this club has a single brain cell.

I never buy all this Rashford needs to be on the left crap. The boys lighting quick and should be terrorising full backs down the right. Instead he sulks like a little bitch as he just wants to cut inside and shoot all the time. Bench him.

True Greats like Giggs, Kanchelskis, Beckham and Ronaldo never had a problem with it.

I'm a big fan of his but he will never be good enough as a RW, doesn't take advantage of his best attributes and highlights his drawbacks as a player imo.

Sanch has been so good out on the right lately, not sure why we are persisting with him back on the left.

Regardless, with the quality we have in the attacking positions now, we can afford to bench underperforming players. It's on him to cement his place, he's certainly good enough.

Not sure what’s going on with him, great pass for the goal, but his dribbling has been atrocious so far this year.

I do. He looks markedly better on the left. He's always going to be more of a goal threat on the left, which is his biggest asset.

I think he has it in him to be really effective when we're pressing. Sancho on the right with Rashford on the left seems our best bet right now.

He looks markedly better on the left because he sulks when played on the right. He needs a severe wake up call.

This is Manchester United and its a privilege to be chosen to play at all.

I don't agree at all. He's about as close to an inside forward as you're going to get.

I have always said it and I still maintain that Rashford needs to slow down in possession. He has all the pace but needs to know when to use it.
It’s sometimes just more productive to put your head up and make a forward pass.

As a defender I would much rather face a winger with searing pace who always does the same thing compared to someone who keeps me guessing.

I can only assume the plan behind sticking him on the right all game was so he could take advantage of the space Tavares leaves behind. More of a direct running threat than Sancho.

It paid off for the second goal, but he was anonymous for most of the game.

He’s last good season was when Martial’s last good season was, yes he gets goals but so does Ronaldo but we can’t carry 2 players who won’t graft. He needs to get he’s backside in gear if he wants to continue at the club!

Big assist, but man looks completely out of it. Like mentally he isn't on the pitch for 75% of the time. Ronaldo looks more inclined to press and he is 37! I don't know what's up with him, but Greenwood better come back quick.

Liked him when he first broke onto the scene. Not the same player, not driven enough by football.

If a 36 years old, five times Ballon dor winner presses more than you, you should be a bit ashamed.

The raw talent is there but in desperate need of good coaching. I'd like to reserve judgment and give him 6 months under RR to see if he improves otherwise he may be headed out of the club.

I'd take a wild guess and say that Michael Carrick knows better than the lot on Caf. If he felt that Marcus would suit better on the right and sancho on the left, then there must be a reason for it. I really thought Carrick was trying to stretch the defence and make sure that the full backs had not many chances to reach our final third. I think we needed to stretch them and it worked as well.

It's just that Marcus is out of form and he is not match sharp so that's why he is producing the output that he would normally produce. I am sure that with time his match fitness would come back and then he would deliver

So did Ole when he refused to bring in any subs in the EL final.

It wasn’t a bad tactic. Their lb left acres of space for Rashford to run into. He also made an assist out of it. Overall he was too lazy, but in terms of tactics it made sense as Rashford is better at finding space in behind than Sancho.

I agree that he's in desperate need of good coaching and I do hope he'll somehow become a useful player for us again, but raw talent only gets you so far -- the problem with him is that his footballing IQ is frighteningly low.

I don't think Rangnick will take his lack of effort. Maybe he just needs better coaching though.

Not helping himself. Should hold bench until he figures he's not a superstart and even if becomes one here, he still needs to actually apply himself.

People slate Martial but this guy has gotten away with figurative murder on the pitch for way, way too long.

Come on, he wasn't that bad. Itd help if his teammates spotted the runs he constantly makes in behind...

Not playing like this there isn't.

Not for United, not for England. He's Martial all over again so far.

Not getting seen during runs doesn't absolve him from exerting effort elsewhere. He's not running himself into the ground by those runs.
