THE GOAT! Simply the best. Glad he's now the main-man penalty taker. Ice in his veins!

Viva Ronaldo

Even Henry was gobsmacked by Ronny stats 801 goals and 130 United goals.. WOW!

feckin hell. I came to this thread to write the same thing. It reminded me of the Sporting game.
Hasn’t worked this hard all season as it’s not really his game, he prefers to conserve energy; but he knows what RR wants and he was 100% going to make sure RR saw he absolutely can do that, and still be a lethal match winner.
Ronaldo knows how to audition that’s for sure.

It doesn’t help when our own fans are so quick to feed into stupid narratives. A world class goalscorer is never a problem.
Well it's not quite that simple. Van Nistelrooy was a top class scorer too but there was a strong argument that we got better once he left too. Sometimes goals alone aren't enough.

In this particular case though the downsides were being massively exaggerated because we were in a shit-show for reasons that have nothing to do with Ronaldo.

If a team like Liverpool or City had signed Ronaldo and looked worse then there'd be an argument that his goals weren't worth the price in terms of how they function as a team. But we were gonna play like shit regardless and be terrible at pressing regardless, so it didn't make sense really.

This. We cant score and people want the best goalscorer of all time out of the first team.

To be fair to the guys calling him a problem they're absolutely correct. He's a massive problem to our opponents.

RvN threw his dummy out because he had Ronaldo & Rooney biting at his heels ready to more than take over the mantle. I loved RvN but he wasn’t Ronaldo - you can’t equivocate with this guy.

Put Bruno in City/Liverpool, Maguire, Shaw, McTom. . . others & theyd struggle, it’s not a particularly fair example as they’re particularly system driven. Tuchel has taken on Lukaku, the man that scored less than Ronaldo in Serie A last season. Ronaldo is not the problem, sure his lack of off the ball work would be if you dropped him into certain systems but a man that’ll grad you a couple of goals if given service isn’t anywhere near the top of our issues.

How can you not love this guy?

He was pounded for his defensive contribution, not pressing, not even 4 games in after that started he was already putting more leg work in. Today he was all over the place, he burnt himself down running around.

Everyone pounds on him and we come here, we argue, some people defend him, but he doesn't need any defending. He took the criticism constructively, rather, like he probably does all the time, and the change has been immense.

You can argue whether he presses well, whether or nor he's good at tackling or defending, but my god, the attitude is just incredible. The attitude deserves some respect. No excuses. He just went and decided he'd just run around like a madman every game.

Every single game I've watched from him, and I swear to god, never saw him contributing defensively like today. I've never seen him drop so much, so many times into his own midfield like the last games he's played.

He's the perfect professional, regardless of whether you think he's good or not. Again, his attitude is just mind-blowingly positive.

It's amazing to watch him doing this at 36. He's head and shoulders the best player ever to play in England and we are seeing why.

For contrast Alan Shearer scored 379 career goals.

Ran his socks off. Genuinely doesn't seem to have the ego so many think he does.

He's the best player of all time and he's ours. I've never loved a man more.

Definitely worked harder than I have ever seen him work before. Putting Rashford to shame tbh.

Yes he does some stupid things like those bicycle kicks but the guy is an absolute GOAT. He's winning us games, no questions.
I was in the crowd tonight, it was quite entertaining seeing him try the overhead, crowd loved it. Very enjoyable match and a superb performance from Ronaldo.

He's definitely the problem in our squad

Thought he was injured while running that 80m sprint in the end. I might be wrong
I thought he grimaced chasing back a few moments earlier.

He works harder off the ball now than he did last time he was here.

Yes media pundits Ronaldo is the problem?.... Ronaldo is running much more than any CF under Ole bar Cavani. But my god did he work his ass off. Rashford will have a hard time under Ralf with this kind of effort. Ronaldo what's left to say?

First ever player to reach 800 goals milestone at top level in entire football history. Respect.

Rangnick made it work with an ageing Raul, who at his peak wasn't half the athlete Ronaldo is.

Why do people think Ronaldo will be a problem for him? His effort and energy levels tonight were far higher than many of his teammates. Something that has been noticeably the case a lot this season.

I think the media narrative has affected too many people. Even among the United fanbase.

Is his celebration the best ever? I can’t think of too many in history where the whole crowd can get involved in it.

So basically you have no argument yourself but just insults.
No, I made the argument in the question that I asked you and you said you don’t know and why should you care as its in the past. I brought up a fact that you know nothing about and choose not to care about, why should we care about your assumptions? Because thats all they are, oh and an obvious agenda against Ronaldo as well clearly. Cya.

We are lucky to have him. He is still doing more than 23 year old rashford and 26 year old Martial. Man if I were those two, I would be embarrassed.

The guy is Rapid as hell. What a specimen he is. You could see he played for Ralf to see what he can do.
