Get in there.

Think we all would have lost the plot if that first goal was the decisive one, utterly shit referee.

Reckon Fred will have a new lease of life under Rangnick for now.

Big result to get us nearer the top 4 considering results yesterday, and 2 wins and a draw out of 3 fixtures I expected nothing out of last month is great considering.

Carrick leaving gives mixed feelings.

Oh and Viva Ronaldo :)

The win was the most important thing but we did it in typical United fashio. Open game, twists and turns, 3-2 and a bottlejob from Arse with a spice of crap refereeing.
Refereeing was fine.... can't pin De Geas antics onto the ref.

Still all ended well!!

I heard he hurt his hand or something, not sure how badly but Ole has played players through injuries loads of times. I’m willing to give Carrick some credit for trusting his squad to come in and do a job, which they did. Ole never seemed to trust anyone but his first 11.
And Dallot resembled some kind of player who could defend. I think that's just incredible.

Fred just can't be played as 6. I do think Ralf will get a good tune out of him oddly enough.

McTominay is astonishingly poor these days. Hopefully he can be reborn.
Yet I think McTominay was pretty solid defensively today, but unfortunately, he's got no idea what to do with the ball, dwelling on it for ages only to pass back, which is a shame because sometimes in the rare moment when he's pumped up and the game is going his way, he shows at least to be a decent ball carrier.

However the situation in midfield will be interesting to watch because, wequite clearly need to replace him, Matic, Pogba and still big question. marks about weather Donny's good enough to regularly play well there. But Ralph will surely find out very quickly about that if he didn't figure that out and even in Jan we will see a transfer in.

Such an enjoyable game!

Maybe the sad part is this game showed that Arsenal and Manchester United are in similar level currently. But hope that Ralf can level up the team.

The next patch of fixtures are very favorable for him to settle this team.

Feck Atkinson he decided not to stop the game while DDG was in the floor. But for me the fecker didn't give the pen on Fred and that was just taking the piss really. DDG though is soft as they come.

Which is why, imo, Henderson needs to be given a run to see of he's our keeper going forward or we need to invest.

It wasn't a fluke our defense improved when he started playing last season. This defense with this keeper is just as bad as Norwich and DDG is having the season of his life, give me a break.

Big win. Enjoyable game and fair play to Carrick for steadying the ship a bit.

Great for Fernandes to get back on the scoresheet and Ronaldo in the league too. It was very much what we've come to expect from this team in terms of relying on moments rather than actually playing well so hopefully Rangnick can get us playing well now!

Why did Rashford stay on that pitch? Why did Rashford stay on the right side of that pitch? Why are we playing Sancho left?

Decent performance, great result. Ronnie should've had a hat trick but didn't receive the pass.

Definitely a valid goal for Arsenal, but what an absolutely unique situation! Haven't seen that before in 30 years of watching football.

Yeah, it was frustrating. I mean Sancho created the pen from the left and Rashford had an assist from the right, so it wasn't all bad, but it was clear Rashford was fading and should've been from the left anyway. Greenwood should've come on.

Odegarrde despite his goal was very poor. Didnt really do much apart from that one moment. The reason i mention is because he was hyped up as the next big thing.

Just got back from OT... Buzzing after that. Especially after the manner of the first goal... Thought it was going to be one of those games where that's the only goal and it's all anyone talks about.

Was a bit of a weird game in that it lacked quality at times. Thought both teams were guilty of losing the ball in poor areas, and there was just some really mad moments (like when DDG punched the ball up in the air for a save and all our players just watched and let Travares(?) thankfully do the shittest header ever from about 8 yards out.

Martinelli is some player, thought he was excellent for them, as was Partey. Our two CBs, and Fred were our stand outs... Thought Bruno had his best game for ages too.

Also I got my name on my seat at OT, so that was nice!

Sancho also played a key pass for the first goal. he did well.

The only explanation I can find is from a defensive perspective. A Fred-Sancho side and McT-Rashford side is more balanced than the other way around. No idea why you wouldn't start Greenwood ahead of him though, has always been gash on the right.

Can I just say what a cracking penalty by Ronaldo. Hit it ever so well with just enough disguise to fool Ramsdale that he was going to his left.

My first United game live and what a match it was! Super happy for Carrick, thought the Portuguese trio and Fred were excellent. Viva Ronaldooo!

Felt both of the key decisions were called right after VAR reviewed them.

Jim Beglin, with trademark scouse bias, predictably cried foul after the penalty was given but it was a pretty clear pen.

Fred was outstanding. He could become a big player for us under Rangnick.

Vital 3 points, it was a mixed bag team performance but there were some good performances and the team showed resilience after the bizarre first goal and then losing our lead as soon as we got it. The first and second goals were nicely crafted as opposed to individual moments.

It really wasn't. The goal was a goal but he should have stopped play.

Also, don't forget he didn't give the pen in emphatic fashion. There were others but less important but he messed up on the key ones.

I'm not anti Scottish, I just wanted Moyes out.
Great match! nice win, and very entertaining to watch. Good to see Carrick isnt playing that horrid counter attacking 6 at the back Ole used to have us play. 3 games with Carrick as interim and we are already in a better position and playing better than when Ole was manager. Really looking forward to the next games with our new manager. Things are looking good.

Just back from Old Trafford. Great atmosphere and a good result.

Performance wise was ok but still a lot of work to be done and hopefully Rangnick sorts that out.

I agree.
But the ref swallowed his pride in the end which was important. He was open to being corrected. I'm assuming Refs can overrule VAR decisions if they don't agree with them?

Ah, the idiot who complained about the "Latino temperament" during a game that was being broadcast to millions of Latino Americans. Why that guy remains employed, I'll never understand.

Arsenal fans must be the most deluded around. Keep hearing them talking about how they were unlucky, didn't deserve to lose. Utd were comfortably the better side after conceding a freak 1st goal. Backed up by the xG too.

Match started at 7 am here in Sydney and watched it with interest, both fullbacks provided width and go forward which was good.
Rashford is an enigma, unfortunately he is playing poorly , seemingly happy to run into blind spots with the ball and then poor control for an International footballer.
Fred‘s energy is so important given his partner is basically immobile and prefers to pass backwards rather than get his head up and make progress. Donny needs to start given Matic doesn’t have the legs anymore. McTominlay constantly reminds me a central defender pushed into midfield and then having no constructive idea of how to play there. Gee, I’m 6’3” and if That is the major prerequisite to play right side midfield , I’m there but unfortunately too old.
Sancho is a terrific right wing, what is the reason for playing him on the left, makes no sense, particularly given all the other selections prefer to play left side.
Ronaldo and Fernandes are perfect 9 and 10, so sort out the supporting cast please.
Will let the new manager sort out the centre back selections, as it seems to need a Mensa like mind to sort that out.

Why does everyone keep complaining about where Sancho played? The important thing about football is not to get stuck on an idea. It is good to be flexible and tactical. That's how to win football games. The coach played him on the left and he created two goals from the left.
Correct tactical decision by the coach.
Rashford also made an assist from the right.
You only complain about tactics when they fail and not when they give intended results.
