I really wish he could defend because he’d be a decent enough option for us if he could. Not that his defending today was bad; it wasn’t. But he’s woeful when fronted up by a winger and I’m not sure this really gets fixed.
I thought he did well defensively, was expecting him to struggle against Zaha but thought he handled him well.

I’ve been really impressed with him, and I’d written him off.

Dalot is a REVELATION in an attacking setup. In a high press, heavy attack setup, Dalot is amazing. The passing is sublime.

Same with Telles. He’s even doing the dirty defensive duties.

so glad for these two. Worked their asses off.
Shaw will need to work hard to get back in.

It's so funny that people called him the worst RB to ever wear a United shirt 2 months ago and now they're willing to drink his bath water. Truth is Ole gave him a chance once in a year and no player is going to perform like that.

If he continues with the performances from the last two games, he could easily displace Wan Bissaka. He is two years younger and a much better passer of the ball. Impressive from him. He is still only 22.

Did very well against one of the best dribblers in the league in Zaha.

Man of the match today.

Showing the form we were expecting when told he was one of the highest rated fullbacks of his age group.

Dealt with Zaha really well too. Lets hope he can keep it up.

When you have a player who thinks about football in terms of what a modern system would expect, sometimes all it takes is a corresponding system to unlock his performance potential.
Past few years had to be nothing short of maddening for all the players who wanted to play a different style.

Can't believe he's only 22. Feels like he's been here forever.

Great game from the lad
He kind of has; four years soon. Almost a fifth of his life.

I thought he was lost after watching his game against Villarreal, but will be interesting to watch his performances away from home, and if with the collective development of the team he can improve some of his defensive weaknesses. Keeping in mind if he will have more chances of course.

Zaha not performing isn't purely down to him. That was the result of our pressing we did up in the field. Point is, he shouldn't be just judged based on how many times a winger got past him. He should be given games and let him improve. Just be patient - give him one third of the games we gave to AWB and see how he does. He is going to make lot of mistakes but we will have a very good player after some time.
in that home game vs Villarreal, he was isolated against Danjuma too many times, today not that much and with pressing as you mentioned, he was proactive in getting tight to Zaha or intercepting passes sent to him, overall he was solid today.

Has resurrected his career here it seems, good performance today. Was convinced he was done here after Villareal.

There's a player somewhere in there. Hopefully Rangnick unlocks him and we don't have to rely on AWB.

He has been here over three years to be fair which is quite a while. He just came quite young

Excellent performance, good in defense, all around the pitch upfront and has a good cross on him.

His understanding of the game starts kicking off. With easier run of games he most like should collect some experience.

That will motivate AWB or Dalot will simply play to the rest of the season.

Glad to see him putting in good performances these past few games. I genuinely believe he can get better going forwards, as he has the ability to put in a good cross. If we can get him playing more regularly with Sancho or Greenwood on that side, he can be a good asset on that side. MOTM for me.

This new system makes him look like an AWB upgrade, but hes really not.

Looks like the AC Milan loan has done him all good! More matured. Let’s see if he can nail down the place.

Think the most positive aspect was his exceptional passing forward, which i felt like we missed from that position with AWB

Neither AWB nor Shaw should be walking into the main lineup. Both Dalot and Telles deserve to be starting for now.
Or any players. That’s the way it should be. We’ve played favourites for far too fecking long.

Looking over my shoulder.
Very good again today. Kept Zaha quiet. Think I said it before, but he's deceptively fast. Eats up the ground when he gets going. Doubt he'll start against Young Boys but I'd have him back in against Norwich.
Outpaced Zaha at lest once today. His top speed is very impressive, but he needs to improve his acceleration. He’s a big unit!
Great play today!

I really like his passing in-field. He’s got quite good vision and first time pass.

Certainly a welcome change on the right hand side. I’ll try to hold off on the P.E though — I’ve been burned before.

Funny how when a player is given more than one chance he can perform. Just makes me dislike the Ole era even more. Terrible manager with clear favouritism for certain players.

I'm still shocked by how good he's defensively. What stands out for me is, he's really aggressive on intercepting the incoming ball instead of just backing off, as typical of our defenders.

Very good at both ends of the pitch, made Zaha look very ordinary and he had to resort to diving and moaning to have any impact on the game.

When we signed him I thought he was rated very highly as a defender. Think he had a really mature performance for Porto at Anfield as a highlight. We havn't really seen evidence of that with United but it would be interesting if Rangnick can coach it into him. There's probably less work to do there than sorting out Wan Bissakas attacking game
