Everything looks like a struggle, he’s someone that has really been negatively impacted by the lack of coaching under Ole
because he really needed it.Hard to see him not ending up as deadwood sooner or later.
At this stage he IS a deadwood. With the type of football we are trying to play he is a liability. We need a new RB to compete with Dalot asap. Modern football need wing backs who can do everything. Even his famous tackle has been utter garbage

Awful shithouse of a player. TERRIBLE performance. Hopefully that clatter at the end sees him out for the season so others can get a crack at RB.
Imagine being this detached that you wish pain and injury on a person because they didn’t play well for your football team. Horrible post.

Injured or not, he's not our first choice RB anymore and I doubt he ever will be again. Just too technically limited.

Such a great athlete but such a limited footballer. Poor first touch and poor going forward. 50m not well spent. RB and CDM are key positions to strengthen.

Wan-Bissaka just isn't good enough as a footballer for a Rangnick team. Let's be honest, he never was going to be good enough for a proactive team.

Incredible that, despite supposedly wanting to play attacking football, United analysed 800 right backs and spunked £50m on one who has no use in the final third.

Sometimes you wonder if it’s actually Bolt in disguise. Really looks and behaves like a track athlete on the pitch. A really bad one at that …

This is the thing. You buy talent young and mould and develop it into something better than it was; we've taken him in the other direction and that should never happen.

He needs some serious coaching - one of the players who could have done with a pre-season amount of time to get some 1on1 coaching and drilling.

He can do better than today, but Dalot is going to have his ears pointed sharp knowing this is his chance to shine and take a starting spot. Wan Bissaka has to go away and have a serious think on what he wants to achieve here and put his everything into trying to improve.

He is such a poor footballer. I don't know how someone can grow up playing football, being coached their whole lives and still end up looking as uncomfortable as he does on the ball.

Another example that he's not "actually good technically" and his attacking game can't become decent with just a few little tweaks. The biggest disappointment was his mentality tonight — this is probably the first time since he came in that he has a serious competition and he looks like he barely even cares.

So what happened with the advertising board then? Was that a slip after the game had ended or before and nobody noticed?

Looked like he'd dislocated his shoulder or broken his elbow from how they were holding him.

And out of 800 RB our scouts chose him. Did they mistakenly put him as the best instead of the worst ? Cant pass cant cross cant run
This was how he played for Palace and somebody watched him play and decided he was worth 50m....

This is exactly how he's played at Utd for 2 years now. He's rubbish and with all that off fhe field driving ban stuff, he should just be shipped out of the club.

You should be embarrassed with this post. What has the world become?

He is good defending but horrible attacking. Cannot control the ball or see players or play good passes.

I think we are bringing in a new RB in winter along with a MF.

Yeah but we signed him at 22, on a first-team transfer fee and wages. There's not that much room to add that much more in terms of technique to a player at that point, most of the improvements are about consistency and awareness. A player might add specific skills that they didn't use before such as backspin long passes, more weak-foot play and the likes, but they don't massively change how they perform some of the basics.

Think even about like a Patrice Evra who was signed at age 25. He didn't have any massive improvement in technique over the following 5 years, he had a good enough base level and then massively improved his consistency and awareness, while some of his limitations (one-footedness) remained pretty much his entire career.

I honestly think that in some clubs and countries AWB wouldn't even be in an academy team in his late teens with how unnatural he seems with the ball.

Disgraceful take. You shouldn't be allowed to post on this forum with comments like this.

He's good at tackling. I've seen very little to suggest he has good positional sense, reads the game well or is good in the air, so big question marks over him as a defender generally. But that's an easier aspect of the game to improve at than basic technique, so it bothers me less.

Plus when you're weak enough on the ball that opponents know to target you, that becomes a defensive issue too.

He would have to completely rebuild his technique which isn't happening at this late stage of development. He has developed muscle memory of doing things a certain way over tens of thousands of hours worth of training and football.

Pathetic attempt for the goal conceded granted it was clearly VDB’s bad pass but make an effort anyway

Exactly, he has no positional sense. He is the most reactive defender I think I've ever seen for a top side, and one of the symptoms of that is why he's conned people into thinking he is a good defender - because he ends up having to make tons of last ditch slide tackles. Which is the one solitary aspect of football he is quite good at.

Good defenders with more positional sense and ability to read the play dont have to make 10 slide tackles a game.

Disappointing once again. Dalot was miles better these last few games. Hope he is okay though. Wrist injures are terrible.

He is not playing well at the moment.
He can do better, but whether he’s fits in with the new plan remains to be seen

But this response is disgraceful.

Dalot will be first choice now...

AWB can get the position back though. All he needs to do is learn to be more aggressive with the ball and put the occasional cross in. Dalot is hardly Cafu.

Truly atrocious post. Wishing injury on a player is awful.

Amazing he’s the first victim of that drop off. It’s insanely dangerous. Can’t believe shit like that doesn’t happen more often.
I've yet to hear an explanation as to why that exists. Is there another stadium with this 'feature'?

I don't think RR rates him, rightly so.
AWB's very technically limited player and it doesn't look like he can improve.
