Thank god Mourinho ain't still at united, he would probably be tempted to burden the club with a new version of alexis sanchez

Pure revisionism. Everyone was over the moon with the Sanchez signing and he’d been in the top 2-3 premier league players for years.

Aubameyang is and always has been a decent striker but nothing more than that.

Even then, why an Indian restaurant? Are their toilets exceptionally soiled? Curious because I am Indian.
I'm sure you're well aware, being Indian yourself, that your cuisine is extremely spicy, and is well known to have effects that are not conducive to solid bowl movements.

I'll reword my post to "clean the toilets of a restaurant that is known to sell spicy foods" if it makes you happier?

I've never used the word snowflake before, but geez...

I wasn't. Agree he had been a top player and nobody expected his form to nosedive like it did, but I just didn't see what we wanted yet another "left-to-centre" style forward for. Bizarre.

We must surely be up there as one of the worst run clubs in the world.

He wasn't exactly captain material in the first place. At least they realised it and corrected their mistake.

Think you might actually be worse run than United and that's saying something.

Feels weird that Arteta chose this as the straw that broke the camel's back, considering he wasn't out partying or anything, just bringing his mum to UK from France and misinterpreted the testing rules that keep changing by the hour.

No need for this. A simple clarification is all that was necessary. Don’t start undermining someone for having concerns that you may have been making an insulting joke at the expense of their race. They have every right to interpret whatever you said however they want.

So Aubameyang makes what appears to be a honest but clumsy mistake and Arteta chooses this avenue.

I don't know, this feels like a solid overreaction. There are times to rule with an iron fist, a player briging their mother to the country in the middle of a pandemic is certainly not one. Yes they were inconvenienced, but he hasnt put the club in disrepute, no one were hurt or offended by his actions. Arteta has chosen his style of leadership, let's see how long the squad respects the man.

Slight question of course he Auba decided to "take an extra day" himself or in some way has deliberately misled the club, in which case it quickly gets more serious.

I think there must be slightly something more to it. Either that or he's been on a final warning after the last time.

Wouldnt be surprised if its being used as a way to make him want to leave, having an off form player on £300k + a week later isnt ideal.

Not the first time he has done this. There’s only so many excuses you can have and I’m sure the club told him the exact procedure to get home. It isn’t mick from up the road going on his holidays

Apparently this time it was for him getting a tattoo and turning up late to training again and that he helped his mum a while back.

A 32 year old striker on those kinds of wages would be hard to shift in the current financial climate. We are going to have a similar issue, albeit with a younger player in Martial.

They will actually have two ex-captains who were stripped of it running around the place? that should be good.

No idea who gets it now.

Because curries have a tendency to make people shit a lot. That's the joke.

It was a pretty clear and obvious joke. An Indian in that context was quite clearly short for an Indian takeaway. Making a thing out that is pathetic and undermines actual racism.

I did explain, and then said poster proceeded to claim I suggested that every Indian has a dirty toilet.

When I explained I did so without any contempt, but after that explanation was ignored then I have every right to call them out.

Looks like Artera is building up a case to scapegoat Aubameyang and deflect the poor season they've had. There is definitely more to this than what meets the eye. While we've been through some torrid times since SAF left, I'm just glad we're not Arsenal level yet.

They spent a silly amount of money in the summer and are behind two teams that have been so shit they had to sack their managers.
they're ahead of Spurs no? just think it was a weird post stating that they're stripping Auba to deflect from a poor season. there's nothing really different about Arsenal's current season than their previous two. They're just at their level.

They went ahead at the weekend to be fair. I’d forgot that. It’s one point and they’ve played two games more though.

I think when you spend what Arsenal spent in the summer to just stay about the same level constitutes a poor season. It’s laughable how little pressure the manager seems to be under. It paints a sorry picture of where Arsenal are at the moment.

First two aren't true. The tattoo appointment was in London which is fine and he is said to have turned up to training on time. The issue was him returning home from France the following morning (even if he was in time for training) and not returning the same day. At worst he knew the rules but given he was going to be tested and would still report for training on time he didn't see an issue with it as he'd get to spend more time with his mum.

He probably shouldn't be their captain but all feels a bit odd that it's this incident is the straw that broke the camel's back.

Yeah I get what you’re saying, but they did buy young and for the future. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think they’re great but I don’t think they’re having a very poor season to the point where they need to sack their captain to distract from it.
