It is normal he looks lost, look at that team, Jesus Christ. He is the only player i would take from their starting lineup, which is something nobody said the last 15 years about Barca.

Nike subsidise half of his 350-375K per week.
Basically married to Nike and that's why he will reject Adidas Bayern, because they are to far apart regarding the wages.
Obviously Man Utd can pay that salary without Nike but is he really worth it?

Considering they’re are keen on Torres and have been extending a few contracts lately I do think he could be available in January.

However, I don’t see us spending 80m+ and so it won’t happen.

May be a loan deal in Jan and pay up in summer ? Cavani or Martial as sweetener ?

They wanna get rid because he is not what they were hyping him up to be.

I still remember those weird quotes from players saying they had never seen someone do the things he did before. They were not just strange, they were absurd.

Bit like Gerrard talking about Joe Cole and his golf balls?

You as a Barca fan would rather sell or not and what do you think of him overall
Only in summer with a great offer and if Gavi, Nico and Pedri perform at the expected level.
De Jong seems to me a very top player, he is very good at everything.
Right now he is low emotionally, with very little confidence.

His dad said he doesn't like the weather in Manchester and Munich. Feck me, if I was him I'd leave Barca at all cost. We're talking about a club that had to let go their living legend and asked the players to take a pay cut. Manchester rain means feck all compared to that. It's just water. Do you die when you get wet from water?

Living in shit weather is miserable. The complete lack of summer this year in Britain was depressing.

Frenkie De Jong not moving to clubs due to the weather highlights why I rate players more about their ability to play outside their comfort zones and at different clubs in different leagues ;)

Correct, also, it's good he ponders over the shit weather before moving. Would be awful for everyone involved if he discovers he hates the weather after a transfer.

So whats left for him if Barcelona do want to sell him, which is quite likely. The Italian clubs cant afford him, England and Germany are too rainy, so basically just PSG? They have Veratti who is a similar but better player. I guess he’ll rot at Barca and get booed of the field unless he can buckle up and handle some rain. If we get Ten Hag us signing him would be a good move, but not if he’s going to cry about the weather the little prince.

People who do nothing but moan about the weather are miserable to be around. With some suitable clothes there's plenty to enjoy in the UK if you venture beyond the city, no matter the weather.

They are, but virtually everything is way less enjoyable if it's cold, windy and raining. My wife and I went to the Dales a few years back and it pissed it down for the whole time, which made it much less fun than it would've been.

Also, let's face it, Barcelona has far more than just weather going for it versus England too.

I completely agree that people who moan about the weather all the time can be miserable to be around. There's tons to do and hiking in the lakes was brilliant, no matter the weather. Walking the dog on a cold frosty morning with no one in sight, love it!

On the other hand, having lived in Manch for 10 years and now been down on the south coast for nearly the same time, I have to be honest and say we get a lot more blue skies and warmer weather which has made a difference between what we do as a family on weekends.

Now imagine you're a footballer who can more or less pick or chose where he lives and still play for a top team. Would you rather be relaxing after a day of training by your outdoor pool in 25c or stuck inside watching movies because it's chucking it down outside??

He'd be a copy of Di Maria if he came here, you can just tell when someone is soft, when the going gets tough they crumble, FDJ has shown his weaknesses in abundance this season, when things haven’t gone right for Barca he's cowered away and then his daddy saying his son doesn't like the rain, geez I can't stand most modern footballers.

I love Barcelona, but could you expand on the above? Apart from the weather I think England is an amazing country to live in.

I'm English but always loved visiting Spain- the food, culture, architecture and weather etc of places like Barcelona, Saville, Granada and so on. If you have no particular ties to Spain or England, I'd imagine many neutrals would favour Spain, barring language or family reasons.

I moved overseas recently, but do love living in London and we've kept the flat there. I'd hate to live back up north though, where I grew up and went to uni.

Well this isn't heartwarming at all their fans seemingly despise him more then we ever despised pogba (I meant as a collective Fandom i don't hate pogba )

Take a look at your own risk
There's a highlight reel of De Jong in there and he looks completely bereft of ideas and enthusiasm. Sure, he shows some silky touches but they come to little, most of them involve passing the back backwards anyway.

Totally not sold on the guy.

Fair enough. I’m not sure I agree with the bolded but maybe I live in cloud cuckoo land. Is Spain really more attractive to neutrals than England?

I want de Jong here- but its crazy how he can be 24 and such an average player for Barcelona, not winning anything and hardly having good performances - yet he gets the love whilst our players don't.

Maybe Barcelona v London would be close, but I can't imagine many foreigners are queueing up to move to Manchester.
I may well be biased given I personally wanted a chang and felt I would've missed out if I didn't try living somewhere else.

Funnily enough I moved to Manchester around a year ago. I love it, but I have to say, the rain is incessant. I knew it rained a lot here, but Jesus!

Funny enough there's rumors that his girl cheated on him numerous times and he refuses to give her the boot. She kinda cuckolded him.

I like the place -I had friends at uni there who went on to stay there so I've been plenty of times- but yep that rain is miserable.
Edinburgh is beautiful, but I wouldn't want to live there.
Hopefully after Singapore we live at least one other warm place before looking at moving back to England.

It's Barcelona. They have made several stars look average through out the years because of their system or whatever.

Yeah the team that's currently losing with ease, winning 3-2 against poor teams.

They have made people look average when they are on the top. They are not like that right now.
