He's good at his job and that's why top players hire him. But, does he really need to say these things to be effective?

He loves to talk, people need to stop giving so much attention to every word he says.

I don't care if he's the next Beckenbauer. Him being a Raiola guy means I don't ever want him at United. These past few years of putting up with Pogba's speculations takes a lot out of the (very little) enjoyment I get from his performances.

If you listen to Maxwell or Matuidi, the reason they picked and stayed with Raiola was due to how he treated them, how he interacts with his clients. He doesn't have a lot of them and stays in daily contacts with them, randomly meet them during the season, spend holidays or weekends. Matuidi said that it was surprised by it because he barely interacted with his agent while Maxwell or Ibrahimovic always had him on the fan or at home for barbecues or family dinners.

Only 22 while CBs usually enter ther prime in the late 20s, came through the Ajax ranks since a kid and led them domestically and abroad at 19, then spent 3 “university” years in the most tactical league around under the very crafted company of Chiellini and Bonucci… how is he not worth £100m, as a long term investment? Chelsea will knock at the door for sure again and Mino is just starting to test waters. This is the Pogba sort of transfer Mino always creams about, and you can be sure there will be more than one uber rich team interested in buying, again.

No chance they get 100 million for him in the current market. From what I've seen of him (not loads at all, granted) he's looked decent but nothing close to recommending him as a 100 million defender.

No thanks.

He's regressed in Italy and for 150m you at the very least expect him to have established himself as first choice ahead of the two geriatrics they have at Juventus.

That's all without considering the Raiola circus he would bring.

From what I've heard he has been a mix of good and mistakes/bad.

It seems like he is a player still riding on his Ajax hype - especially when there is links to Juventus wanting 100mil for him; which doesn't really make sense.

To be honest- you can argue that Frenkie De Jong, De Ligt and Van de Beek have all struggled/dissapointed at their clubs after moving on from Ajax. You could maybe even add Ziyech to this list.

I wonder if they just need a change of environment or maybe it highlights the ability of Ten Hag that got the best out of so many players during their time at Ajax.

I don’t know why he’d be worth more than he left Ajax for. He’s not developed quite as expected and we’re still in a place where we might be going back to empty stadiums again, meaning finances being affected.

Saying that, I don’t doubt someone like Chelsea or PSG would happily pay it anyway

It’s laughable that he thinks Barca would spend the money on him. They had to let their best every player leave in the summer because they didn’t have the money to keep him. Real Madrid are going to be focused on signing Mbappe, Haaland and maybe Pogba so can’t see them worrying about him.

City have good defenders already. So I suspect, it’s PSG if anyone

Is there any other agents that openly talk about their client's next move? I get it that the agent works for the player and not for the club. It is only fair that the agent looks out for the player but shouldn't all the planning and scheming be done in the shadows? Absolutely zero respect for the club and the player's team mates. Imagine hearing from the agent that your defense partner is ready for the next move etc. Or if you are the coach that you player might be leaving.

Seriously after Pogba and now hearing this. I would really stay clear of Haaland just to avoid to have anything to deal with this guy!

He's about double the player Maguire is. Do the math

All the big clubs should simply agree on not doing anymore business with this man. Seeing as they could all agree on something as big as the Super League, this should be a piece of cake. Players would simply drop him eventually

Ah yes, I forgot that's how the transfer market works, sorry. That's just dumb.

Also, I don't know how much you've watched him but to say he's currently double the player Maguire is is overrating him. I don't rate Maguire that highly but De Ligt isn't THAT far ahead of him at the mo (better player though, I agree).

I think Raiola's just talking shit. No one is going to pay 150m for him. I'm not even sure he's better than Timber in anything except height.

It’s laughable anyone that would demand a transfer fee or above average wages is linked with Barca.

I watch pretty much every top team game in all the big leagues. Kinda psycho yes I know

So we agree on better player. I'll add "much" to that sentence. Harry wasn't worth half of what Utd paid for him and while de Ligt hasn't really gotten much better (I blame this on the league -- Id say La Liga is a much better fit for him) he's certainly still worth what Juve paid for him so that means his value is roughly double that of Maguire.

I think you're the only person in this thread that thinks this.

strange thing to say publicly that his client is ready for a "new" step and by referencing the clubs he did, it's perceived as his client wanting to move to a bigger club, certainly in terms of pay. What does that say to his other clients such as Pogba who has been linked with a return to Juve

Nothing. One player may want to join a bigger club while the other wants to join a club/city/environment that he likes.

That if you want a long and prosperous career where you'll be idolised by your supporters, don't go with Raiola? Unless of course you're happy to move every 2 or 3 years, then do.

why doesn't he just do his work behind the scenes. We know he is constantly trying to engineer moves for his players privately anyway, we know he offered Pogba back in 2018 to City. Players like De Ligt and Pogba, there are very few clubs who can afford them, and the ones that can, will be well aware in advance of any Raiola announcement on their plans. Is he looking for Juve to up his wages by going public. Not a fan of the modern day agent and the unrest it causes at clubs.

It's not laughable, you just have to look at the case of F. Torres.
Simply too much fake news that deceives people.

He will leave on a free in summer 2024.

Just another two years for Juventus fans of the circus.

I hope we never touch another Raiola client. Never worth the trouble. Even Haaland.

I don't think that I understand your question or if there is one but when it comes to agents and their dealings privately isn't a thing. None of them do their job just behind the scene the only difference is that some like Raiola or Barnett, say things themselves while others leak things to the press. It doesn't cause unrest at clubs, clubs are part of the system and they are one of the main feeder of leaks and manipulation through agents.

These kind of things only cause unrest among football fans that are strangely sensitive when it comes to these things when it's an outgoing player, but not so much when it concerns incoming players.
