Absolutely finished. Something must be going on at home for him to play this poorly. Either the press has something on him or a family member is ill or something like that. You could pull any non-league player and put them in a united shirt and they wouldn’t stand out as obvious.
Playing with those injuries for a few years maybe? Maybe they've fecked him up.

I like him as a player when he's at his best form so I hope he turns it around. There's always been an argument though that if there's no space to run into in behind then he's extremely limited as a player.

He looks like constipated whole time... and since that PSG penalty he's having rapid downfall.

What’s laughable is he missed 3 months of the season to get fit after a lengthy niggly injury. Since he’s come back, he looks like he can hardly raise a trot and appears disinterested in anything that’s going on. I’m aghast by it.

I’d start him next game. He’s clearly lacking confidence but he’s still more dangerous than Sancho (sadly). Play him left wing, stop moving him around and help him get his form back. We have two game-changers (Bruno and Rashford) and we’ve got to find a way to get them playing well if this season isn’t going to be even more of a disaster.

I see the utter glee with which some are piling into him and I just wonder what's happened.

This is a guy who carried us the months before Bruno arrived. Broke bones and played through injury for us. His next season he did the same. Produced good numbers and played as well as he could. But now he's struggling with confidence and poor form. There's half a dozen players far more deserving of criticism but we'll pick on Rashford. Yes he's playing poorly, but the criticism he's receiving as far outsized to the performances he's putting in.

That's poor form for me.
Looks like you’ve got an advanced copy of tonight’s press release.

He's the ultimate "I did step 1 now what next" player. If we're ditching that kick and rush shite and committing to possession principles his development process might as well be starting over.

Another player on hugely inflated wages relative to talent. We fell into the same trap with Martial and we’d struggle to move on either if we tried.

This is how the standards of a club collapse. We reward inconsistency with elite contracts. The club is toxic.

Aye, maybe the whole ‘fit enough to play every match, too injured to track back’ thing wasn’t entirely on the level then?

Once again a laughable overreaction from a forum that seems hellbent on turning against its own. He played for 15 minutes and tried a few things that didn't come off.
He has been awful and lazy for a long time. Ridiculous to actually believe the problem is today's game only.

Doesn't have what it takes to be a United player.

Let’s be honest- no one looks good in this team of strangers. Ronaldo looks poor most games and he’s been one of the greatest of all time. Rashford came on on the left, within 5 mins he’s shunted out on the right, in a team that’s playing shockingly bad. His work rate is terrible at the minute though and that is squarely on him

Debatable. Sancho will have a crap performance but get the basics right, Rashford breaks down everything when he isn't even trying to be creative. His decision and misplaced pass montage must look worse than Lukaku but with rashford he struggles with split second decisions where the other struggles with technique.

He's not going to the World Cup like this and he seems completely nonplussed by it
There's no way Southgate is dropping Rashford. He could play terrible for months and still walk into the squad, just because he's "Marcus Rashford". His face fits so, just like previous favourites over the last few decades, he'll be a staple of the England squad regardless of form.

With Rashford, I don't think "form" is necessarily the right word either, I think his ability should be seriously questioned. If Newcastle offered £50m tomorrow, I'd jump on it.

Lad needs to put some focus on getting better as a player and improving his all round game.

He's got no work rate at all, such poor decision making, he's become a total liability out there.

His profile pic on this thread is a completely different person. Compare that image to the imagine of him skulking around the pitch the last few years. Desire is gone

I think he's been found out, to be honest. He's always looking to do certain things in certain areas of the field.

Horrible performance again. Glad he was dropped and showed nothing to prove the manager was wrong to bench him.

A shadow of the player he was. Hope we sell him while we can still get a decent fee for him

Compare his attitude in his first 2 seasons as a kid in comparison to his attitude on the bench now.

Shocking, I can't believe how much his attitude and work rate have went down hill as he grew up.

He used to run his socks off to compensate for his inconsistent finishing or decision making. He used to run everywhere on the pitch. Now he's a lazy brat who barely even wants to run. And worse of all, his decision making is still shit.

His development has been so fecking disappointing. I can't believe he grew up to become such kind of player.

Overhitting a pass when he had 40 yards of space to pass into and loads of time to play the pass. Bewildering.

Yeah everyone who thinks he’s shit is of course a racist. Definitely how this works
Who said anything about being racist? Your whole account is dedicated to Rashford bashing, no doubt you creamed you tighty whitey when he missed.

He's stopped developing. And performing. That's about it really. He's hit the wall far earlier than I expected.

No idea what you are on about, but judging by your responses to other posts. It's clear you are just being a knobhead.

Unfortunately regressed as a player, especially in the last year or so.

May have to cut our losses by end of the season if he doesn't pull out of this rut.

Can feck off to politics for all i care. The number of inconsistent performances he's served us over the past year and a half and people were all giddy as soon as he scored a tap in completely forgetting the shit he's served us before that...
Exactly. I just don't want anyone not committed or not competent enough on the team.

I will take flak right here and I don't care one bit by saying this: his philanthropy has become a major hindrance to him. If that can give me a competent footballer, I would openly shove that charity work (and the accolades he got from it) to the garbage bin simply because that is NOT a footballer's job, especially when that player has poor credibility. If he wants to change things, then he should run for office and get elected to enter in Westminster. Politicians are the people in position to improve things if they have their hearts and minds in the right place.

Rashford is an example of what I call the Colin Kaepernick syndrome. As much as the cause is noble, Kaepernick never gained the credibility required to his cause he deserved because he simply stopped seeking a playing job even when his stance proved to be right according to NFL authorities in the end. And we have to remember that Kaepernick was a mid-level quarterback at best when he began his activism. The last thing United needs in our rebuilding process is a Kaepernick; everyone must be committed and competent.

I’m really not feeling him at the moment. Is he distracted by the off field philanthropy? Has injury fecked him? Or has he just reached his apex and this is what we’ve got now?

Is he like Theo Walcott at Arsenal and maybe he just doesn’t turn out as good as we thought he might be?

If this continues until end of season then I would seriously consider selling in the summer.
