I have a hunch that despite the shit results of Solskjaer, that some of these players including Shaw enjoyed a nice free ride under him… for far too long and now Ralf has come in and actually made them work, they’re probably having a culture shock.

Sorry Luke… when you blatantly feck up, Ralf isn’t going to tell you “Don’t worry Shawy that’s football! You lose some, You win some! United DNA and all that!“
Shaw isn't blaming Ralph, can we stop trying to dictate a stupid narrative that he's trying to shaft it on the manager?

This is why Ragnick is here, to get rid of the players who aren't together. He's bulletproof until the end of the season so the players best get on board or be prepared to be shown the door. It will be painful in the short term but we need these players out of the club.
He can't do much when some players are being played for marketing rather than footballing reasons.

I don't find anything wrong with what he said but indeed it looks like some players actually don't give a shit.

The actual TV interview was pretty telling. Sky will tweet it in a bit no doubt.
I don't think it was - I watched it live. He said we arent playing like we are together and working hard enough. He said we have so much quality but we dont put in enough effort. He said because it's a long week now before the next game maybe the manager can continue with some ideas.

Sky then tried to run a narrative of him blaming the manager, and some saps are falling for it.

Might not be England v Portugal as much as Defender V Attackers. Sancho, Rashford, Ronaldo, Cavani and Greenwood, outside of Cavani when he is fresh there is so little there in terms of pressing, defensive willingness and desire to sacrifice for the good of the team.

What does such interview bring except more problems for the club ? We don't need more pressure from the media. Beside, Shaw needs to shut up because he's part of the problem. He has been absolute shit this season and the praise he got last season went into his head and made him think he's done it all when it reality he has won feck all so far.
You could obviously see that Shaw wasn’t happy with his own performance either. He’s just an emotional player. It brings more pressure onto the team, which he probably didn’t think through completely, but he felt obliged to explain some things to the fans because he and the team let them down. And on some level he thought the players needed some brutal honesty because the message clearly isn’t getting through to them in private that it’s a basic expectation to play with a bit of motivation and urgency.

This is the worst squad of players we ever had in my living memory. Not only skill-wise, but also mentally weak with huge egos.
Wish we could somehow fecked them all of and start over again. I wouldn't miss one single player from this team.
I have no idea where do we go from here.

They are uncomfortable with the system is what I got from most of the answers, besides the lack of intensity.
Yeah, that would make sense. The new system looks terrible or at least the players are making it look terrible.

There comes a point where I understand why Real Madrid and Barca fans boo the feck out of their players.

We need to give this lot the Umtiti treatment.
What is 'umtiti treatment' its sounds fun - can I get it on the NHS?

We played some awful football last season BUT I never felt the players were at loggerheads with eachother.

I do think Ole was/is a good coach at dealing with certain players, I think that's still his main strength in coaching ie man managing.

But something clearly hit the fan when he was managing us this year and it has continued on.

I think you'd have to be a complete fecking moron to think the players walked all over Ole though. Like he was some meek little nobody. The players clearly respected him but I think they clearly needed more from their management/coaching this season and Ole couldn't bring it.

But now we're in a big mess. Long term it may be the thing the club needs. But, we've made some awful moves post SAF ,so this potentially spiralling completely out of control wouldn't surprise anyone.

A decade of lack of accountability. A decade of Glazer muppets running the show. 1 billion down the drain (sucked out of the club) and we're about as good as when Moyes was manager.

Well done to the leeches.

This is great for us fans. We need to know what’s going on.

If RR is ruffling feathers that need to be ruffled then so be it! Bring on the moaners then kick them out!

I don't see too much in that, I guess we are used to the standard cliche answers we hear from our players. He's honest, his criticisms are valid. It's a no win situation, if he comes on and says everything is great, he'll get criticised, if he's too honest, same thing. We know the squad morale isn't right. Pogba, Cavani, Lingard and Martial all want out, Henderson as well for differing reasons. It will take time to address the morale and imbalance in the squad.

I think we have quality bar the MF and RB. But we dont work hard enough.

We badly need a MF who doesnt just pass five yards in front of him like Mctominah does every game.

Mou was right about all of these primadonnas
Can we stop with this Mou nonsense please? He is a washed up manager who has had bust ups pretty much everywhere he has been.

Also, today's XI had 6 players that were signed after Mou left and Greenwood who was in the U18's. So 5 players from his time which includes McT who Mou promoted, Matic(bought by him), De Gea, Shaw and Jones.

I don't know where people are getting "camps" from. But it's like he was getting that some people are not putting enough effort. Who could they be. Maybe Cavani?

Nothing wrong with that. We were shit and Shaw agrees.
This. Shaw didn't say anything that was inaccurate. He was the only player with the balls to give an interview by the sounds of it.

Man Utd defender Luke Shaw: "Not good enough, we really struggled, we couldn't get hold of the ball and when we didnt have the ball we weren't agressive enough. We didnt put them under any pressure.

"It maybe looked like an easy game for them. A disappointing performance and result. We didnt have many options on the ball and we weren't on the front foot.

"We have to put more pressure on them, we have to have intensity. Us players, we have been here a long time, maybe tonight we struggled, I didnt think we were all there together. You look at the players we have, we have unbelievable quality but sometimes quality is not enough.

"We need to bring the intensity and more motivation. Inside the dressing room, we know what we want but out on the pitch we need to give 100%. To win these types of games we all need to be 100% committed. It is tough and disappointing.

"One thing I will say is Phil Jones should be proud of himself. He has been criticised for years, and has gone through a lot, but he is so pfrssional and he has trained heard anmd he was phenomenal. He was exceptional, I am very happy for him and he deserves it."

A bit of a hooo ha about nothing. Yeah you can read into that that everyone hates each other and someone is going to get stabbed soon but it could also just be him saying that they wernt good enough. He's obviously very upset which is good and he is just trying to covey that its not working and they as in the team need to step up. Its not a polished interview talking like a politician granted but just raw emotion at the end of a disappointing result

Didn't De Gea come out with similar stuff before Ole got the sack? He's not the first of your players to say this.
was thinking the same. It’s obvious that the players lack motivation. Their body language on and off the pitch seems to lack energy.

The phil jones bit was well said

Of course, we knew all along that some dressing room snowflakes would be anti-hard work. Hope Ralf roots them out!

Every game we hear that we need more intensity, more aggressiveness. How about we start fecking showing it for a change?

Far too many of them believe their own hype.

Reality - we’ve been carried by Bruno since he signed. His unrreal form made us look a lot better than we are. He loses form and the rest of the squad are exposed.

That’s a stunning interview.

“A lack of intensity, aggression and motivation.”

He looked totally lost, timid and that’s a senior pro in our squad talking. Sad times.
This is what I’ve been saying about Martial and Rashford for years. We put way too much faith in players who just can’t back it up when the heat is on. Jose was right about the squad as much as a downer as he is.

Toxic cowards all over the squad, have all the answers for the cameras and Instagram.

Luke Shaw has won nothing and has given no reason for us to think he has solutions

If there's splits happening i guarantee it's winners like Ronaldo, Varane, cavani and fernandes wondering what the feck is happening with average players like awb, maguire and rashford at United

Ronaldo, Greenwood, Sancho, Rashford is clearly not the all action spark of old, even Bruno has taken to strolling.

God, we were so spoiled and didn't appreciate it, guys like Giggs, Scholes, Keane, Cole, Rooney et al, just worked for each other with so little ego, it was the good of the team ahead of individuals.

Ha! I said in another thread that it was a complete guess and that I was probably wrong but it feels like some of these players loved the Ole philosophy and others were clearly not impressed and now we probably have a reversal of that, with some unhappy with the new style...and Shaw more or less confirms the squad is split.

At least he's being honest. I think Jose and Ole have tried their best but they've left very difficult tasks for their successors and we seem to lurch from one extreme to the other. This squad is so unbalanced it's unreal. It seems an absolute clusterfeck.

If there is a split in the dressing room, and some players are already against the new manager, I hope Ralf has the balls to bench all of them and play a second string squad if needed.

It's time to expose these cretins for all the world to see. I don't care if we lose, but we shouldn't be losing like this.

It's the same Rangnick said the past three or four games. Still can't get it done.
God I would love it if we started from scratch with some young, talented and hungry players instead all of these prima donnas. Not talking about Shaw here
