His highlight reel is insane. Yes please.
What's highlights of Martial. They are great too. Highlights are very misleading as it is hard to imagine that everything you see is developing on a slower level than it would be in premiership.

Well, you got me. :)
What does excite me about the highlights is his ability on the ball in combination with his tall body. Kind of reminds me of a young Zlatan. I do hope our scouting department does more than watch highlights!

I hope so too . It is so important to check on the history of a player outside of the football pitch. Personality matters.
Also scouting these days is so advanced that you can tell what a physical ceiling of a player is.

I've not heard of him before but after he seems great on youtube highlights, probably much cheaper than Haaland too. Not sure who his agent is but if it is not Raiola then we should definitely try. Maybe a cheeky offer of a swap deal plus cash with Martial.

We could do worse than going for him to be honest.

We are losing Martial, and probably Cavani in the summer. That leaves us with Ronaldo, Greenwood and Rashford as our striking options which isn't exactly stellar.

He reminds me of RVN and Ibrahimovic, what’s not to like?, I’d be excited if we got him

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal have offered 70m plus a midfielder already on loan over there.

No team in particular.

Didn't he reject the offer? I read somewhere that he didn't want to go Arsenal, probably wants to play CL football, and Arsenal can't secure that.

So what's this guy's physicality, aggression, workrate/pressing like then? Is he suited to this mythical style of Rangnick football we keep hearing about?

I would rather go for Darwin Nunez. The message from Vlahovic's camp made me feel he is not too keen to join Arsenal and waiting for offer from a "bigger" club.
If you want to be frustrated, then by all means. I like Nunez, but he's an odd one.

It is never up to me of course. What i am trying to say is if a player does not want to join the club, then just look elsewhere. There are many players out there may want to join arsenal. From Patrick Schick, Darwin Nunez to Paul Onuachu. we are linked to Bruno Guimarães hopefully it will happen.

Gotcha, I agree. We're in a similar boat!

I actually think he'd be a good fit for Arsenal. They play with technical wide players and midfield runners into the box, from what I've seen from Vlahovic is that his on the ball ability is good, especially with balls coming in at pace. So be could be a good focal point for them. And can finish too, obviously.

I think players like Isak, Halaand do better in teams that prefer to counter attack more.

If we had our priorities sorted out I think Vlahovic would be a great singing for us. But we stopped signing players based on their actual ability and what they can bring to the team ever since SAF left.
Mikel Arteta today, we need to sign at least one new player for the midfield as we are really short in this area. Mikel Arteta a few minutes later, take all of our cash and a midfielder for your striker.

we need a midfielder way more than a striker at the moment. We only have Lokonga and Xhaka available for selection. Elneny will be off in summer too. Bruno Guimarães over Vlahovic in january for me

I assume you are excluding attacking midfielders like Emily Smith-Rowe and Odegaard but surely Partey should be included here? Still a little light though I would agree, can we interest you in a second hand Matic? A little old but he is in great condition if used sparingly.

Both Partey and Elneny are away for AFCON. It is Edu and may be Arteta makes the call for player recruitment. i am refering to the base 2 CM in Arteta's 4-2-3-1 formation. Seems like both of them only want to bring in young and hungry player.

From his quotes today we will sign a midfielder anyway, it's just a matter of when this window, so I don't think it's an if/or.

I think it's far more logical to sign a big name striker now than a midfielder. I think with Eddie/Laca out of contract, we need to see if the striker we sign now can do the role next season, hence why they might go big now while those two are at the club. Then, we could renew one of the two or sign a new striker depending on how they adapt.

Whereas a midfielder, I think the club will get someone in who can act as a rotation option short term, and then sign someone in the summer longer term, on the basis if they need time to adapt then Xhaka can fill in.

I think he'll join one of Barca (if they don't sign Haaland), Juve or maybe PSG. Sounds like he's not too keen on England.

He has a bright bright future, and not constantly being in the spotlight may be to his benefit as it allows him to grow his game without the constant scrutiny and distractions of media.

Love to have him here but he seems more like the perfect juve striker.

He's no slower than Kane so I don't really see an issue with that at all. He's big enough to hold off the defenders anyway.

Meh, from what i've read he's actually quick.

And Lacazette isn't quick, Kane either.
I know you're an arsenal fan, but Lacazette has never scored 20+ to my knowledge. Odd player to use in that example.

Sorry I meant more that Lacazette suits our system and isn't quick, so we don't necessarily need a rapid player (if he were to sign for us).
