It’d be interesting to see if his injury record will improve when he could no longer going aboard to countries like Dubai for rehabilitation. This must have pissed lots of players off and what a great decision by Rangnick.
Just say Pogba is faking injuries to enjoy Dubai.

So Pogba's wages jumped from 400K to 500K and people believed it (without giving a feck about source). Won't be long before we see 1 million per week and people believing it.

No wonder these papers still have high hit rates.

If it's anything approaching the numbers reported I hope to god Raiola talks him out of it.

They want a big fat payday, both of them. Why earn £30m over two seasons at United playing for the Europa league spots when you can get £30m signing on fee from PSG or Real.

I will be totally depressed if what i am hearing about offering pogba the highest wage in the league deal is true.

Why are we being tortured by the board?

Was it not 'proven' in the Football Leaks that City pay heaps of their players and employees in overseas accounts, that are off the City books?
Someone else mentioned that which is why i responded with the post below.
Ok maybe City aren't the best example but we need to show some spine and not get bullied into giving these absurd contracts. We as a club need to remind players that it's an honor to play for this club not us saying it's an honor to have you play for us, that creates an entitled dressing room.

Liverpool supporting mates are delirious with glee at the prospect of us keeping Pogba, says it all how his time back here has went sadly.

He and his vile agent will wait and see if they can earn more from a signing on fee in the summer. If not they will extend here.

If this club ever learnt anything at all from the mistakes that have been made, we'd wish him all the best and say good bye. But instead this club learns nothing, and we'll pay him significantly more than any player earns at Chelsea, City or Liverpool, despite achieving significantly less. Then you wonder why players lack motivation and have huge egos here.

I wonder if we were daft enough to offer such a stupid amount and Pogba renews do we then automatically become Raiolas favourite team again?

Also wouldnt Raiola make more money if he signs for someone else?

I'll be completely honest....

If he renews his contract I will be disappointed.

It's players like Paul Pogba who are causing problems at the club, from hyper-inflated salaries, to toxicity in the dressing room.

The sooner he is gone the better.

I hope he doesn’t renew and leaves. It’s better for both parties.

Because most teams aren't dumb enough to overpay Pogba as much as we would

I used to blame Pogba but honestly at this point how can anyone blame the guy. He has made it clear so many times that he wants to leave but the club have refused to entertain selling him.

To me it was clear that Pogba is ambitious and realised quite quickly that the club had not been honest with him when they signed him. We all heard the club say winning trophies is the goal etc but even a village idiot can see that they are happy with top 6 and lots of clicks. Even though Pogba loves the clicks too, he definitely wants to win.

In that way I can understand why Pogba has felt no mercy using his agent to get him out of here, he feels a bit betrayed by the club I imagine. If he can get paid the same elsewhere but also win stuff then why wouldn’t he? I blame the club for not building a title winning side which has caused them to be so desperate to pander to players like Pogba.

I can understand the inflated salaries part but how has he been toxic to the dressing room ?

Class act on and off the pitch. Hope we pay whatever it takes to keep him here, or in Dubai, wherever he likes to stay.

Well for a start you only have to look at his falling out with Mourinho.

Then you can look at what Lukaku claimed on his departure from Utd, which was along the lines of there being a toxic dressing room with the ringleaders being Pogba and Martial.

They're just examples of ones that are well known.

He can't even stay fit for half a season, never mind that he's useless on the pitch when he does play.

This guy is remarkably much injured. Feels like it should have a name. It's the same Pogba cycle every year.

The Pogba Cycle
Phase 1. Plays a world class game or two
Phase 2. Plays a lot of mediocre matches
Phase 3: Agent or brother wont stop talking
Phase 4: Gets injured, plays more mediocre games

Repeat season after season.
During his five years here, how many genuinely world class games do you remember from him whilst playing for us? I can’t think of many. His debut against Southampton was pretty impressive. Also the two goals against City in 2017-18. He scored a goal in the Europa final. After that, I’m struggling.

That’s on you. Bears no relation at all to the amount of quality performances he’s put it. You probably, on the other side, can’t think of many poor Bruno Fernandes performances. It’s just about positive and negative regard. Nobody really remembers somebody playing poorly in a 0-1 win against Burnley last January or somebody playing fantastically well in a 1-1 draw with Southampton in august when the overall performance of the team was shite.

If he was staying a contract would have been signed by surely?

How often does a club let the contracts expire and then the player stays and signs a new contract?

Personally I think if the club wants to progress he has to leave, all the crap his agent spouts and we just take it. Pogba has 4 or 5 good games a season, he needs to go.

The injury record is just another reason to get rid. Regardless of his pitch performance

And RR has said he's 5 weeks away from just starting training. What a joke, I don't care about the wasted money, if the club extends his contract then I will be massively disappointed.

Never mind United, what club is going to pay his wage demands for an incredibly inconsistent player who spends a third of seasons out injured.

People just pull random big club names out like Madrid, Juve, PSG. I just don't see it.

This. If Pogba was the only person in the team under performing then you could understand the criticism. However, no players have developed or produced consistent performances. In fact, most players we buy become worst the longer they are here.

Sure it’s best for both parties for him to leave at this point but we can’t blame this failed transfer on Pogba. He has never had good enough team mates or been under a good structure at the club

Sir Alex Ferguson was spot on. Feck off, Paul.
I read today that he's stalling again regarding a contract extention; Pogbas been messing us about and taking us for fools for the past 5 years, and its no good his fans blaming his agent, he works for Pogba, not the other way round, and does what Pogba tells him he he wants done. We should put him on the transfer list for £1 and just get rid of him and put an end to the toxic effect he has on the more, "gullible" of our players.

I just feel like he is using our recovery program for his new season with PSG.

Surely we can just give big Ed a nice few weeks gardening leave and ensure he doesn't have any power in this decision?

I'm all for Pogba staying on reduced wages and if he loses his agent. There, don't like terms? Have a lovely career elsewhere.
