It’s easy to look at Minamino’s miss but some other senior players didn’t show up. Henderson, Van Dijk, TAA, Jota. All rubbish.

A rare clean sheet for Arsenal in Anfield and did it with 10 men, easy to know it was a league cup tie instead of a Premier league match.

I’m actually pretty proud of our players. Serious effort. Although, Ramsdale seemed to be a overly pumped up in the closing stages. Man needed to calm down.

Don't know how long FSG can hold out sapping the usage of this squad any longer. Literally wasting some of these players peak years hoping for Klopp to get by and squeeze out results for them, when it's plain obvious to see the squad needs reinforcements in midfield and forwards and has been for a while.

Man, even if Liverpool weren't that good, they are least show an urgency to take the ball forward. If United were in need of a goal, the team shows no urgency. Liverpool will win this at Emirates.

How long do you think Klopp will tolerate that? Do you think he will throw a fuss like he did at Dortmund eventually.

Arteta outmatched Klopp’s tactics. He was toothless…

How long do Liverpool fans think Klopp will stay at the club?

Said it lots of times, when going to Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea etc we should switch to 3 at the back to at least stay in the game. Being forced into it probably got the result tonight.

Sounds counter productive but it's time to sell Salah for £100-150m and reinvest in some proper replacements (not Ox and Minamino types). We'll feel the pain with no Salah but we really need to be looking 3+ years ahead.

They have previous for being cheapskates - they traded away a generational baseball player called Mookie Betts instead of paying him the market rate for someone of his calibre.

Probably until they're not a small handful of points off financially doped City and still competing for the league and European cup!?

Arsenal were fairly depleted themselves so that's a hell of a result playing with 10 for 80!

Seen a few comments saying the same and to go all out for Saka.

I think Pep will go for Saka though.

Salah guarantees 20 goals a season easy though. You risk not getting that from replacements. I would give Salah what he wants and sell Mane & Firmino. Firmino has dropped off massively and Mane seems to have huge dips in form now.

That alone was enough for my Red Sox supporting friend to brand them as unforgivable cnuts.

Worst take ever.
Look at Salah's consistency and physical condition. He is like Ronaldo, when it comes to taking care of his body.

And replacing a 20 goal forward is one of the most difficult things to do. It would be mental and beyond stupid to sell Salah.

Maybe move on Mane. Firmino's game doesn't need pace. He is still a decent option. Sell Mane and replace him with a good forward.

I don't think there are words in the dictionary to describe how much I want Xhaka out of the club...

Spurs the big winners tonight.
Arsenal will be galvanised with this result. The one they needed (and deserved) for so long. Showed great togetherness like against City.
Tottenham doesnt have that…

Yep it was inconceivably stupid. A homegrown generational talent who is indisputably a top 5 player and also universally beloved was traded not for sporting reasons, but so they could avoid the luxury tax. It'd be like Chelsea selling Mount tomorrow for £25m to avoid having to give him £100k per week (not that I think Mount is a top 5 player, mind!)

He's a weird one isn't he? Capable of putting in really good performances when the mood hits him but the amount of times he costs Arsenal is astounding.

Saka is a very good player. Impressed me all night even after the red card.

Don't know but I think he will be given one more chance to spend big before he leaves to challenge for one more title before passing the squad on to the next manager. We haven't spent big since summer 2018, I expect him to demand for it this summer. He knows this squad is plateauing without investment in the team, leaving it any longer and the chance for another title to build on this team already will go in seasons to come. Already happening now with the gap to City and our comparison in squad depth.

Klopp will never sanction the sale of Salah. He won’t bother if he leaves on a free, as Klopp will probably leave at the same time.

Isn't his contract running down in 2023? You're not getting big money for Salah

And while your scouting has done some wizardry(Salah himself, Jota...) replacing a player of that caliber isn't going to be easy. You don't need a full on rebuild yet, you risk losing out on a title window for some nebulous future that might not even include Klopp

The good performances are not worth the many many mistakes he makes.

Saka is a special kid, we really need to go to the CL soon or we may lose him.

Nope. Arsenal will postpone the game. Had a look at their bench and with xhaka and Cedric out and possibly saka they’ll only have 12/13 “senior” players available.
You can only postpone the game due to covid, not through suspensions and injuries.
