Don't worry though, he still won't put in a formal transfer request cause then he'd miss out on his loyalty bonus.

fecking piece of shit!

Will only believe this if he gets fined because that should be the next step when a player refuses to play. Horrible from Martial if true. He used to love the club so much I dont know how it’s come to this.
Even though we've had words across this thread, I'm not here to gloat, but this is sums up what I expected of him and why I want him gone. His mentality is just not fit enough to play for an elite club and all he's ever cared about is himself and his image, he's a mercenary. Let's not forget he also once had a brand AM9.

Those sources are as good and reliable as you're going to get, there's no more pretending he's misunderstood and we've got him all wrong. He's probably already been fined but we'll never know, it's not something the club or a journalist can report on without breaking a bunch of confidentiality agreements.

Looking forward to @OL29 and @Jireh spinning this to be my fault somehow. Where's Martial's white knights when he needs them most?

I've always been an admirer of his and even now felt he could be a useful option for us, but this news is disgraceful. The sheer lack of respect it shows to the fans that have sung his name over the years. Truly awful.

Genuinely didn’t think he had this in him, very disappointed, I’ve spent ages defending his character on here but looks like I’ve been proven wrong.

This player FC bollocks has got to stop.

It does nothing for the club (the most important entity in all this) and quite obviously, nothing for the player either.

Get all the bad apples out ASAP.

I remember when his fan club defended him deciding he could go awol that pre season under Mourinho. Couple that with the latest news and the fact he regularly pulled out of games very late on and it sums up why he’s such a wast of talent. He’ll be lucky if he’s playing top flight football at 30.

I believe both Martial and Pogba have been our main troublemakers for years now. I can't understand people defending them. Both are consistently showing lack of respect for the club. Martials pre Everton warm-up routine... The Athletic reporting on Martial struggling to communicate with our stuff while injured... It casts a doubt on authenticity of all of his numerous injuries. Then Pogba going to Dubai for rehabilitation... In my eyes Pogba is just a little bit more cunning and cautious and wouldn't let such miscommunication situation happen just to have his hands clean. It's all him, everything he does is "I'm not doing anything wrong" while consistently pushing the limits. Same with his agent and brother. He himself has never said anything wrong. He just never explained what his surrounding were saying either.

I'm so sick of them. Everything they do is showing all the other players that crossing the line is okay and you can always get away with it. That's what they're about. That's where problems like lack of commitment or intensity arise. Thats where winning mentality dies. Just can't see why the club has been tolerating it for so long...

Can we slow clap the financial geniuses that argued we had to pay potential talent obscene wages to "retain future value". The only way we move these hacks on is seemingly:
  • Payout and mutual termination of contracts
  • Leave of a free
  • Player swaps.

Martial put something up on his Instagram Stories (Instagram handle is ‘martial_9’) about 30 mins ago. I can’t post images/links yet, but I’ll quote it below:

“I will never refuse to play a match for Man United. I’ve been here for 7 years and I never disrespected and will never disrespect the club and the Fans.”

What to make of this now?

Banish this loser to the shadow realm. Just fine him every week and put his locker in the car park.
Enough with the soap opera bullshit. I would not trust a player in this squad to tell me the current weather if we were both standing outside.

I make the same I did before he posted it, guy can get fecked and I hope he leaves the club ASAP. This is a face saving exercise to make it look like he's not unprofessional to potential suitors.

Rangnick will be gone in a few days, as he threw our noble superstar under the bus, blatantly lying about him refusing to be in a squad. Martial on the other hand will get contract extension and salary rise for examplary attitude. Modern United way.

Strange, but I can’t see Ralf telling lies about it, as if he did other players would fall out with the manager after such a short time here. Bruno for example is good friends with Martial. Ralf seems to be a straight talker, and very open (our PR team probably hate it).

Honestly I fully agree. There’s no reason for Ralf to lie about this. He’s too straightforward, and it would be way out of character.

Seems more like Martial is trying to save face or create doubts. I don’t buy it. It’s a shame that it’s all ending on such a bad note, but oh well. Moving on

Menteur. Shame on anyone dumb enough to buy this rubbish. Martial just doesn't want all the hate from Utd fans and for any future club to realise what an unprofessional scumbag he is.

It's almost irrelevant really. Whether he's telling the truth or not, the fact of the matter is, this is just another example of the discordance that's taking place at this club. It's broken.

"I've never disrespected the club..."

says the guy whose agent was briefing the press about his desire to leave a few weeks ago.

"HE JUST NEEDS TO PLAY..."

OK, cool waive you're loyalty bonuses, reduce your wage demands, and find a club that actually wants you.

He thought RR was Ole, and that's the main issue now.most of our players are still thinking they can do the same things they did with Ole.

He's disrespected the fans, the club and his managers with his poor attitude and incredible laziness long enough.
I was about to say.

You've disrespected us, the club and your managers every time you put on the shirt in the last 3 years mate. Mincing about the place like someone shat in your pot noodle.

Seems pretty obvious to me that he didn't expect to be called out publically and is now running damage control. There's literally zero reason for the manager to lie about it, because all it does is create problems for him either way. There'd be no reason to even mention Martial's name if he hadn't done it. He was out of sight and out of mind before this.

He's probably telling the truth in that he didn't refuse. That's not what Rangnick claimed though so it's disingenuous.

If he's said he didn't want to be involved the manager is right not to force him but that doesn't absolve Martial.

Can't wait til he's gone, never had the right attitude.

With Rashford and Ronaldo out, I suspect he wasn't happy to be on the bench with Elanga starting.

I've nothing to base that on of course, but wouldn't be surprised.

There's been a few occasions in recent times when we had two goalkeepers on the bench.

I wonder if this is common occurance. Players not showing up to play.

Where is the doubt? Ragnick is quoted as saying that's exactly what happened. Martial is just trying to save face because he didn't expect Ragnick to put it out there. I don't see why Ragnick would make things up, it only lowers Martial's value.

Ultimately, he wants to go to the WC and the club should capitalise on that. This is the perfect time to get him transferred out of the club on favourable terms.

The club will screw it up though.

Agreed, if he's desperate to play at the WC, and only wants to be playing, but the only reason he can't get a move is his wages he'll take a pay cut, right?

Like Countnho did to get out of Barcelona.

Yeah hopefully. The club might be holding their ground so any give has to come from Martial's wages.

I hope that's what they are doing. As much as I want him out, paying his wages would just set a bad precedent at a time when a few players are trying to leave.

The Club has treated him like a prince in his 7 years time here. Then come a time that the Club just want a decent return of investment, he throws tantrum.

I hope our next manager is a strong one. So no player like Martial can stay for years in this lovely Club. Even after almost 10 years since Fergie retired, I still can't get used to this kind of player, although we've had some over the years.
