His training sessions must resemble a Benny Hill sketch. We have a midfield that Norwich would scrape off their shoe in disgust, yet he still can't get a look in

Why he isn't played more given our options is not explainable from an outside perspective. I literaly can't believe it. I mean today, Matic was done after 60minutes. Why not bring him in?

RR asked him to stay until summer. You don't say that to someone you think is shite. Then why the hell he doesn't play him is really a mystery. Even Matic plays more and he has comparable stamina as my father who's from 1944.

He must have really fecked someone over somewhere high up the chain who's telling these coaches not to play him but keep him under contract, effectively nuking his career.

The question needs to be asked as to he is not playing when all others have been shit on every match day.

How many minutes has he played? It must be some sort of record.
there was a optajoe tweet back from september 14th I found - 38 appearances, 1510 minutes. averages out to 40 minutes per appearance. I would wager if you took just PL appearances it's less than 12 minutes per appearance.

edit: transmarkt looks to have the minutes info by year. His average appearance this season in the PL is 8.5 minutes. one single time he was played over 10 minutes, and that was the Watford game where Ole just decided F it I got nothing else to lose.

He should leave, for right or wrong, nobody at the club acts as if he even exists, if i was him i would push for a loan right now.

He almost scored the winner. Why he is only regarded as Bruno's replacement (and sometimes not even that) is one of those great mysteries. And coaches keep praising him. So there is nothing he can "do" to improve his chances. Maybe someone at Old Trafford hates Bergkamp?

Please make up your mind.

1) If he's good enough, then play him.
2) If he's not good enough, then sell him so he can grab his chance of making the Dutch National Team.

He's having the piss taken out of him - you're never going to make a meaningful impact at 88 minutes. Should have come on 2 minutes after Matic got booked.

You can't expect someone to have any kind of sharpness playing 2 minute cameos. Still, nice little turn and effort at the end. Just let him go to Newcastle or something.

18-20 months and 3 managers of not being able to force his way ahead of 3 players this forum thinks are total shite.

He ain't that good, 120K a week, dump him, anywhere and bring in someone who is an actual viable option
It's the managers that won't bloody sell him

Matic was visibly wearing down and yet Ralf kept him on until the damage was done. Donny is no defensive maestro but with fresh legs (glad I corrected “kegs”!) he would blocked the cross.

Has he really made 50 appearances???

I would love to see how many minutes that equates to. I bet it's the equivalent of 15 appearances max.

Will be the third clueless manager as per Caf then.
Nobody is saying he’s a world beater, people are saying either play him because he can do no worse than the players we have on the pitch who drop 0/10 performances and still continue to get picked, or sell him so we can bring someone in who we will play. Is it really that hard to understand? People are baffled by the clubs treatment/stance, maybe he is dogshit, okay fair enough, why are we constantly asking him to stay then?? It makes no sense the whole situation

1) in order to sell a player there must be a willing buyer. Do you know such?
2) your statement that our midfielders have been producing 0/10 performance kind of says it all about your objectivity

It does seem like he will only play as a Bruno replacement (who hardly misses a game)
I do wonder why we can't try Fred vdb and Bruno together. Bruno obviously plays furthest forward so I think Fred and vdb are good enough to play deep and swap when needed
