2nd half was excellent - totally different team pressing from the start.

Impressive second half. Ralf's choices are playing well (Lindelof, Dalot, Telles) and McTominay was excellent. A player who seems to buy into Ralf's ideas going by his comments. Elanga with the breakthrough goal. Positive signs.

Poor. RR needs to not to play Maguire and Matic. He needs to buy a couple of midfield players.

Very good - McTominay, Dalot, Elanga and De Gea
Good - Fred off the ball, Varane, Rashford getting his goal, Bruno before the chip
Bad - Fred on the ball, Ronaldo being a baby, Maguire

McTominay head and shoulders above everyone else in the 2nd half

Badly needed result. United can be pleased with that.

Against Villa we managed it for 45-60 minutes. Tonight we managed it for 80 minutes.

You can see the shape, you can see the idea, you can see what we're trying to do out of position. Its coming. More slowly than we want but its coming.

PS) Can see why Ralf didn't go to a back 3 at the weekend after seeing how shaky Maguire was. :houllier:

Mixed performance. Terrible first half and improved 2nd half.

Still so so much work to do though. Still had to rely on De Gea, for a lot of the game.

Anyhow, good win but 4th, completely in Spurs hands now.

Terrible first half. Better in the second but we are still disjointed, shaky in the defence and we are conceding too many chances. So much work ahead of Ralf.

A game of two halfs. Happy with the result and hope it'd give the players some confidence going forward.

3 players scoring from our academy. Something worth celebrating.

Football is a game of two halves. Brentford couldn't match their first half effort. Some awful performances out there individually from our team but de Gea, Dalot, Elanga and McTominay can hold their heads high, they DRAGGED us into that game despite ourselves, and in the end should have scored more.

Special mention to Rangnick for having a quiet word with Ronaldo after his substitution. I don't mind him being angry at his substitition - it absolutely shows that he cares. But if any other player had reacted the way he did...?

1st half was dreadful. 2nd half actually good. Set pieces still dreadful.

I think it's clear that we aren't actually any better with Ronaldo in the team. Leave him to be a squad player/impact sub, or use him as a wide forward. He's never been a central striker and struggled in that role even in his peak. No point doing it now other than to mask his inactivity.

Disjointed first half, good second half.

Elanga, Greenwood, and Rashford being our 3 scorers is wonderful to see.

Two different halfs. Win is still win.

We got issues about players mentality but that is old news, still actual.

Good result. The performance still isn’t there even though we improved 2nd half, feel for big Dave though deserves a clean sheet but this lot just won’t give him it.

Haha the panic in the match thread at half time.
i agree with @Ixion it was not catastrophic. The first half was positive. Of course there were some panic moments, and the midfield was defensively a disaster, but united controlled the first half. I thought it was hopeful.
Second half was good! And Ragnick coached well!
