Great second half. I thought Scotty Lindelof and Dalot were fantastic tonight

Decent three points and some positives. Many negatives but progress albeit slow.

Nice to see Leicester bottling it.

1st half as bad as I've seen us. 2nd half decent.

McT thrives against these horrible physical teams who hack their way around the midfield, he's a proper beast carrying the ball.

Maguire is now officially 3rd choice CB

First half brutal, second half good.
If only there was evidence that this was anything other than an accident.
What was said to change things?

45 minutes of football I actually enjoyed. Feels like a long time since that last happened. Much better, more of that next time out please lads.

Edit: hopefully Rashford gets some confidence from that goal and we see him find some form again.

Good result but could have easily been something like 4 - 4.

Played well second half, but we were still looking so sloppy at times.

Need to kick on from here. the shift to the 4-3-3 at least has seen us find a goal threat again. Get a good result on Saturday and things are looking positive going into the winter break. Definitely seen some improvement over these last 2 games though, still not great, but improving

Far better.

Elanga, Scott, De Gea and Dalot my picks of the bunch!

Hope McTom is not seriously injured. He was excellent tonight. First half was a battle. Good second half. Pleased that Rash and Greeny got goals.

Maguire though, only on for 20 minutes but managed to create a few attacks for Brentford.

Had a good 1st against Villa and a good 2nd tonight

Let’s see if we can combine the two on Saturday

Quite happy to see they clearly reacted to half time team talk

We win, yet I feel underwhelmed. Fred is an enigma, great assist but other than that he was a liability all night.

A competent midfielder and we control that game and pick off Brentford on the counter, and keep a clean sheet. We won, yet we still manage to scramble to the finish line with 5 at the back.

Happy with second half and the three points, but the biggest plus was Rashy getting the goal. Let's hope it gets him out of the bad place he's been in for a while.

Three fantastic goals, good second half, still need more... the last 10 minutes were warring, we don't know how to close games even when we are 3-0 up .

I don't know why we needed Maguire. Perhaps Ralf wanted to help him gain confidence, but it didn't work that way.

Great 1st half against Villa. Excellent second half against Brentford. We just need to learn to combine both and play well for 90 minutes. McTom was brilliant.

I was saying at half time there is a difference between this and Ole ball.

Very good second half but we still need better control. They were getting counters non stop. Even when we were three up we should just be passing and passing the ball to kill the game.

Feels like everyone watched a different game based on the comments in the match day thread
Thought everyone did fine with the exception of Telles.

We didn't create chances in the first half because poor team play and a lack of creativity.
Ronaldo isn't a great combination with our strikers.

Going 2-0 up and 3-0 up away from home back to back is a nice sign that things are improving, despite the goals coming late on,

Very good result against a difficult team away from home. Brentford could have got something another day, they caused us loads of problems in the first half and could have scored 1 or 2. 2nd half was better from us, we controlled the game better and were able to kill the game off even though we conceded a silly goal at the end.

Delighted for Elanga, he’s worked hard to get his chance in the 1st team and he has his first goal. Also, top finish from Rashford, hopefully that gets him going a bit now.

Abysmal first half. And that's being kind.

Much, much better in the second half. We got lucky on the first goal and it kind of killed Brentford's spirit.

Feel a bit more optimistic about top 4 now. Hopefully Chelsea can get dragged into this race too.

It takes a certain level of shiteness to come on three quarters into a football game and end up being one of the worst performers. Maguire

Dreadful first half but a much improved second. Honestly with where we are at I don't care how we get our wins. They are momentum builders and tonight was certainly that.

Three academy scorers. Anyone who isn't immensely proud of that doesn't get this football club.

Notable mention for Scott McTominay too. Head and shoulders the best player on the pitch. Most of our good moments came from him and he was strong in our own 3rd too. Maybe it's time people started giving him some credit, because he's becoming an accomplished midfielder.

Dalots best performance in a United shirt too

Awful, awful first half. We looked a bit more up for it in the second and took our chances but it was far from a good performance. Three points is what matters.

McTominay and Dalot were excellent. Real pleased for Elanga to get a goal from a lovely Fred assist.

Shoutout to Bruno for his tribute to Welbeck against Bayern

Lots of positives. Centre backs nailed down. Right back nailed down, maybe left. Scott and Fred looking happier in this set up, Bruno back in form, really on it. Great for Elanga and Rashford. If we can get a couple of forwards really fizzing, we'll be back in business. Listening to Elanga talking post match here, that's EXACTLY what I want to hear.
