Nothing came off for him first half, his Creative passes were off, under hit, overhit etc.
He was Excellent 2nd half. A Superb play making performance. Bruno takes risks not everything comes off but for me he is our main man. I love the guy.

His general play still isn’t quite there but he’s back amongst the goals and assists. That’s probably just the player he is, really

Felt he really stepped it up in the second half. Two beautiful assists but can't help but think about his effort when he was through on goal. Other than that, really starting to get his form back, especially regards goals/assists which we are so used to seeing from him.

Am I the only one who saw his run in Mason's goal and thought to myself : "bloody hell, didn't we sell Dan James ?"

Less stupid passes, a bit more controlled and composed on the ball and still got 2 assists and if he wasn't dicking about would have added a goal too.

He can still hit the same numbers just by picking his moments better and not just spamming passes into the box and shooting at every opportunity.

Captain's performance. He's been a lot more like the old Bruno the past two matches, and hopefully there's more to come.

Dare I say he's coming back into form? That finish for what should've been the 4th was hilarious though

That's pretty amazing I agree. He's actually a lot faster than he looks.

Love the old Bruno back. Another captain performance. He deserves the armband tbh.

Hopefully he recognises this or the coaching staff help him to.

Was the same against Villarreal away when he came on, very measured and clinical.

Agreed. When he is deeper or running from deep he has more influence on the team and it helps having Fred mopping up beside him as opposed to further back when Fred was more or less as deep as McTominay.

Rangnick has got to be one of the most open managers to the press I've ever come across!

I mean, don't get me wrong, it's refreshing knowing what the manager really thinks as he promptly updates us all regularly, however I wonder if his over-sharing could empower opposition managers/players against us.

Bruno going back to basics and playing as an 8 is seemingly working a treat. Long may it continue - hope he gets stronger in the tackle though, as he seems a good tackler but quite often as the game develops, they become more and more halfhearted.

All in all, in that second half versus Brentford, he was the daddy, and all this coming after a brace against Villa.

To be honest i too think Ralf is being more open then needed to the press

But telling Bruno's best place as No-8 is not giving away too much as other managers can see his position on the pitch anyway

I think Fred was playing as No-8 next to Scott, so wondering if we are playing 2 players -Fred/Bruno in NO-8 ?

Fred played 8 on the right and Bruno on the left

For more than a few games, he's finally being a lot more careful with the ball. He's had a license to do whatever he wanted with the ball or his movement since he's been here. For a while that was great for him and for us. However, it's also meant when things have not been going well, has been a big detriment to the the team with cheap giveaways. This new role, he still has the opportunity to have those moments of class but, also force him to be a bit of a leader in helping have control in games.

He really is our talisman. Ronaldo or no Ronaldo, the outcome of our season will be defined by Bruno. People slating him left right and center yet he still has 10 asissts and 7 goals in the CL + PL, no penalties and playing in a massively disjointed team.

Whoever was chasing him must be glacial because Bruno is not fast.
he’s quicker than he looks. I think his stamina helps that he can just keep his pace going the whole way where as others tire out a bit.

i’m just so glad he passed it too! how many goals have we messed up by the player trying to be greedy themselves

With Bruno so close to the goal, I almost expect a higher chance of goal if he takes that shot instead of passing. But good on him for seeing and executing that pass to perfection.

Bruno is those type of players who gets faster during tense situation. So yes, Bruno is faster than he looks.

I think Bruno passing there was a bit of setting an example for Greenwood there. I'm sure it will have stuck with Greenwood.

One bad game and our fans turn on him. How many demanded he be benched and he was and we promptly lost against wolves
Tbf he deserved to be benched imo. And his time off game had done wonders in how he plays and approaches his game in the last two matches.

He's definitely our best player but imo no one should keep starting if he doesn't deliver or play well enough. Ralf has handled him pretty well so far I think.

Of course I don't like the posters who called him names either. That's a bit too much imo.

Exactly. The opposite of Gary Neville. He looks very quick but is not that quick.

Wow two good games in a row and some here are talking like the last twelve months never happened.
