Options are not quality enough. None of those players offer the skill set of Martial in the middle. Only greenwood is technical enough for the position but we play him on the right. If the manager chooses to play greenwood as striker then I’m fine letting Martial go but I doubt he will.

We can’t keep experimenting at this stage of the season.
Have I missed the part where martial has been shining brighter than the options??? Cause I recall him being quite wank.

I'm happy it's a loan so the new manager can decide if he's needed.

Have a feeling both ETH and Poch would want him.
And that’s the issue we’ve had with the last 3 managers.

They come in, say they want to give these players a chance, promise them they’ll get game time. Then they realise they’re not up to it, the players gets dropped despite promises being made and becomes a toxic mess in the dressing room. Just fecking clear out once and for all.

Thanks for the memories. Superb in that first full Ole season, a bright spark under LVG and what could've been under Mourinho. Such a great talent and really feel we wasted something here. One of my favourite post-Fergie United players for sure.

Good news. He wanted out. Fair play to him to take wage cut to go there. We need to move out a few more and hopefully get that defensive midfielder we so badly need.

You know he’s coming back in 5 months right?

That's correct, and there's no purchase option in the deal, either.
Oh damn!! Hope he does well and they would want to buy him and we would want to sell him and he would agree to cut down his salary and all those things..

Nope, Martial's lack of winning mentality epitomises post Fergie United. No room for the likes of him

It’s a loan. He hasn’t been sold. Could do great things for him and if he wins the league with them he way maybe they’ll push for a move but also he could come back here on form.

Good riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Hope he wins them La Liga and sign him permanently.

Blaming the club for a player constantly not taking his chances and not delivering on his promise in the 7 years he's been is a bit mad. He's wasted something, not us.

Best of luck to him. Hope he can rekindle some form for the WC and then we can sell him for a good fee in the summer

God bless and good luck!
Hopefully he helps them to push madrid real hard as the do seem to lack a clinical striker , and league's more languid pace may be more suitable to the lad.

He couldn't make it here and that's a shame, at times he seemd to lack the workrate and times didn't seem to bother much but you sure can't deny his talent, hope he makes good use of it but sure wasn't meant to happen with us. Farewell.

I can't say it's a good deal as I don't think our other options are better. Hope he does well.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.

They’re never going to pay the fee we’d want and his wages. This is 6 months for him to get game time, remind everyone how good he is and get form after his injury so the bigger fish come calling in the summer.

Sevilla will cover his wages?

Is this their clever attempt at a league run on the 'cheap'? If he goes there and fires them to the title, it'll be one of the smartest loans ever.

Martial has a World Cup place to play for as well as putting himself in the shop window - he should be going there looking to play out of his skin.

I wouldn't bet against him being a revelation there. Talent was never his issue here and as stated above, he's never had more to play for in his career, so effort and motivation won't be an issue.

Why are we loaning him & not just selling him & be done with it?

When Fergie was the manager 99% of his loans were youth players looking for their first taste of first team action not players aged 25+ who've played for UTD's first team over 100 times like Lingard & Martial, just sell them already & use the money to get better players in & if nobody wants to buy them just keep them as a squad player in the hope they might produce the goods in the final few months of the season, the other week we had 2 goalies on the bench & no strikers.

When Fergie was the manager we didn't pay moronic wages to average players. These players are close to impossible to sell because they are being paid far more than what anyone else is willing to pay.

This isn't the stock market. In order to sell, someone needs to willing to buy.

Absolute shame, hope he does really well and we get a good fee in the summer.

Unbelievable he's wasted so much potential, all the best Tony Martial.

Almost every club in Europe's unwilling to spend money in January. They'd all rather wait for the rest of the cash to arrive in the summer or only start spending when they sell one or more players. Sevilla isn't even one of the richer clubs in Europe, so they wouldn't be willing to purchase any first-team player let alone Martial.

So, keep him as a squad player then, in a few games time we'll have two goalies on the bench & no striker (again) & looking for a goal with no option to change things in attack & on the same day he'll probably be notching a couple of goals for Sevilla.

And if Martial had been on the bench we still wouldn't have had a striker - he's an inconsistent but talented winger. Wish him all the best at Sevilla and that he gets a good move in the summer.
