Is there anything new on his potential move to Newcastle? Pointless to sit on the bench most of the season..

He's that serious about forcing a move he's decided to go on Holiday to Dubai one week before the window shuts.

Think there's more to this story personally. If it were me and I supposedly wanted to leave the club then maybe I don't go to Dubai this week with Rashford and a few other PL footballers.

You'd think so. The sooner we get rid the better.

Lingard just cares about money and getting a massive wage and signing on fee in the summer otherwise you'd be in Manchester forcing a move through in the final hours of the transfer window not in Feckin Dubai sunning himself and working on his tan living the single life partying with the ladies.. (which ironically are only interested in him because he's a Manchester United footballer nobody would care if he played for West Ham) You ain't going to the World Cup with only 2-months football at the start of next season matey! The people advising him are idiots, but so is he for listening to them.

The sooner this cancer leaves the club the better. I'm appalled we have to pay his wages for another few months.

So embarrassing and cringey. Another post from his brother this time who is posting a picture of Jesse in a West Ham shirt disrespecting the club, badge and fans. Classless.

Thankfully Jesse Lingard will be a footnote in the history of this great football club.

No ambition. Sums up Modern day footballers mentality in a nut shell. With a few exceptions. Look at the difference between Donny and Lingard this transfer window.. one is trying to force through a move because they care about playing football more than money and wants to go to the World Cup.. where as the other is satisfied and comfortable with sitting on his bum for a few months collecting his wages risking not going to the World Cup, because he cares more about money than playing football..

That’s a bit too far, don’t you think? He’d better leave, but in no way I would call him a cancer at this club. Not sure I’d want to call anyone that.

this is modern day football, some players seek money first. Seen it with players like Oscar who went to China, Song who went to Barcelona for example. It is what it is. We can’t just put him at fault, someone offered him this contract and didn’t accept Westham’s offer in the summer, they’re responsible too.

Jesse won't be going out on loan now. We are badly short of attacking cover now without Martial Amad and presumably Greenwood.

Time for Jessie to produce a few match winning performances even if for purely selfish reasons.

Yes, he stays now.

Why did we loan Martial out? There's rumours coming through that the Greenwood issue was known long ago.
Martial had no future here.

We still have Ronaldo, Cavani, Rashford, Sancho & Elanga for the front 3. Plus Hannibal can play off the left.

What’s happened with Greenwood shouldn’t affect Lingard leaving.

Yeah he's not leaving now. Now we only have Ronaldo and Cavani as outright strikers, though, which makes the Martial loan a little risky. If Cavani gets injured (which he will, he's made of glass) we're going to be in a bad place

Think the Martial deal is done. We'll probably play a false 9 or Rashford/Elanga up top if Cavani and Ronnie aren't available.

Should defo keep Lingard unless Shola is brought into the fold.

What do you think he should have gone club to club personally? He has an agent for that. I just don’t see the logic there.

Looks alright to me. Lingard is still quality player as backup, the guy would be West Ham top player if he‘s at west ham now and someone like him is what you expect as backup. But that means Rashford and Sancho have to step up and perform as per man united XI quality which to be expected as they are on massive wages.

Jesse staying is like a new signing
We've turned down 7m from Newcastle in wages and loan fee and he will probably start 1 or 2 games at most between now and May. Then he walk for free. If we stay relatively injury free there's a chance he doesn't start a single game.

The people running our football club are so incompetent it's scary.

Lingard, Pogba and Jones should be the cover of "United post Fergie" new release.

United minus the Glazers
If Jesse puts in a good shift when he is brought on, he will be decent value for us considering the depth of our current squad.

I don't get all the hate. He isn't a star player or a typical United player in terms of quality but given our current standards and the woeful form of many other supposedly talented players in our squad, he will contribute.

We know he can impact games and he has showed glimpses of what he can achieve at West Ham.

29 goals and 14 assists over 12 seasons in PL, focus on brands and social media, 0 care about his career, if you think this type of player is good enough to step a foot in this club nevermind start for us, you are living in cuckoo-land. We should have offloaded him last summer, it's a crime he's still living off our club

I think it made more sense to keep him strictly as back up due to the unexpected developments with Greenwood.

There was zero chance of him leaving once the gravity of that situation became abundantly clear, especially with us having a small squad anyway. I really don’t see how there can be a single complaint.

No doubt whatsoever we should’ve sold him in the summer.. but I’m looking forward to watching him over the next 4 months or so. He should suit Ralfs’ system and maybe regular game time will help find him some form.

That’s one of the stupidest statements I’ve read
He literally wouldn’t be a professional footballer if he didn’t care about his career.
