No but that’s my point , the gap in quality, we rest Fernandes from the team for a match and who do we have to play there?
Let’s take Liverpool for a moment who rest a midfielder and they have Oxlade Chamberlain to come in or Nkeitah (spelling of that is surely bad). Or City who have an embarrassment of riches in Mahrez, Silva, Foden etc. Even chelsea to some extent, they have RLC, Mason Mount, Kovacic and did have Willian/Pedro.
We need depth but not just numbers we need quality depth. You’re probably/definitely right that they wouldn’t be happy to be regular bench warmers but this is where Oles game management and system changes need to help out. We can’t expect Lingard, James, Ighalo to be the difference on a regular basis.
We might go after Grealish which means there will have to be rotation so why not the same with Dybala?

Do you expect one of Bruno or Dybala be on the bench on a regular basis?
Sorry for long post that probably doesn’t make much sense, had a b1tch if a day and now my 3 year old son is running around like a madman refusing to go to bed.

He doesn't even want to come here, that was obvious from last summer.

Going to be a free agent in the summer. Wouldn't personally want him as I feel like he would just be a mercenary, feels like an option though...

Would be the exact kinda signing to show that we haven't learnt from the past and whatever moves that are happening at the top aren't worth shite.

Feels like the “type” of signing we should steer clear from if we’ve learnt anything from the past. It’s tempting on a free though, seen as we have so many other gaps to fill in the squad. I haven’t watched much of juve in fairness, so don’t even know what kind of form he’s been in the past year or so.

Personally, I think we need more explosiveness in our squad and would prefer a right winger in the mould of Antony/Raphinha.

No team has the space for him, really. Maybe Man City in that false 9 spot? Liverpool already have Firmino and Jota, Madrid will have Benzema and Mbappe, Chelsea already have Havertz and Lukaku. He wouldn’t work for us as we have Fernandes in that area of the pitch. Maybe Barcelona?

Xavi seems to prefer an out and out number 9 so wouldn't see him fitting in to Barca's 433. Griezmann all over again.

Maybe a move to one of the Milan clubs? I could imagine Conte being interested as well but I'm not certain if he'd go to a club without CL. Possibly Arsenal? PSG will always seem like a potential option as well.

No one in the EPL will go for him with the whole 3rd part ownership, I thought?

He's finished. He's like a knackered racehorse. His legs are totally done. He can't play at full intensity for 90 minutes. If he tries he'll be injured.

Its a shame cos he's very talented but you can see why Juve are happy to see this happen. For the money he wants its a massive risk. Any team that needs dynamism, running, lots of off the ball movement up top cannot rely on Dybala. Still him in the area and provide him with tap ins and you can probably get value out of him. However, he is really railing against his own body right now. At some point he'll just have to listen and either go to a club where he can play at half the speed required in the top European leagues or retire.

He is most probably going to Inter, which is fair enough if you consider his last two years as a footballer and his latest interests as a young adult and a public persona (fashion, Argentine / South American camarderie, social media profile).

Honestly, why does Inter want him? Yes, Dybala is great when fit. However, he's never fit. That's a lot of money to pay to someone who isn't going to be playing much and can't be counted on to be fit when you need rotation options.

Exactly the kind of player we need to avoid.

He is a good player, but we need to create a culture of lads who are willing to put the head down and work hard. Sounds simple but it's something we're direly lacking in recent seasons. Watching Forest last night - a technically much worse team than us - keep up with Liverpool (and probably deserve a result if not for bad officiating), it's clear to me we need to concentrate on getting the players in to create an environment where that hard graft is the norm. He wouldn't be the kind of player to bring us closer to that goal IMO.

No more players that are here for the money. Decent to good player for sure but not anyone we should ever be looking at. Of course that means we'll sign him on 300,000 a week.

He'd be a very good player under Ten Hag with his technical ability but his injury record is a big concern. We need to stop signing sicknotes.

Massive wages, heart probably not set on rainy Manchester and injury prone- exactly the sort of signing Woody would have loved but hopefully the current board have more sense..I say hopefully

Manchester Utd never lose, just run out of time
Didn’t he ask to leave Juve only to turn us down because of some bullshit image rights reason? If so, feck him.
From memory he didn't actually want to leave Juve, but they were trying to sell him as they were struggling financially and they were struggling to fit him into the set-up that they were using at the time. He ended up staying (which is what he seemed to want all the time) and re-establishing himself in their team, although I haven't kept up with what's been happening since.

I really would hate to see us moving for this player. It's the definition of a Woodward signing.
