This would be a smart signing if we can sell Martial and Rashford and use the sell fees to upgrade other areas. Dybala is free and he can replace Cavani’s role who’s also going to leave end of the season. He’s basically a second striker who can also play as a striker.

He is not a striker, he is another SS/ number 10. So it would be par for the course if we signed him (to get in Bruno’s way).

Good player in his position. I would only want Dybala, if the new Manager (unpressured by marketing) wanted him and was fully informed of the hit to his budget before signing Dybala.

Yeah, let's bring an injury prone 28-year old, who is not a natural ST/RW and who has a poor workrate. Great idea.
Have not we all agreed that we need to buy young players with their trajectories going up, and not down...

With CL football and no longer having to pay Auba? Im sure Arsenal could affort it?
From what i am aware of the current max wages for Arsenal player is 200k a week. The club seems have big issue with money for players on 350k like Ozil and Auba if they don't perform at their highest level, and they only offer that kind of contract to top players(like Sanchez, Ozil, Henry or Auba). I don't see Dybala belongs to that category as a striker. Arteta needs a 20 goal striker in the summer. Not a player to compete with the #10 role with Odegaard and ESR.

didn’t he once say if Barcelona wanted him he’d swim his way there or something along those lines?

Barca are working on a budget, no? Could see him ending up there

He's exactly the type of signing that we don't need.
United need young players

Expensive wages, injury prone and already turned us down once. Everything we shouldn’t be signing this summer.

The more I think about it the more I think it’d be a good move.

From the forward options, we’ll be moving on Cavani, Lingard, Mata, probably Greenwood, and hopefully Martial.

Dybala on a free helps and let’s us spend transfer fees elsewhere.

Top player, but we have absolutely no room for him at all. Takes up the same spaces as Bruno does and it would not make sense to get him to play on the wing.

Depends on who the new manager is and how he wants to play. I reckon Dybala as a Support Striker playing around Ronaldo would do well. He can also play RW ably and since Sancho plays mostly LW these days and Greenwood has fecked up his career we need a RW.

Personally I would prefer to keep Bruno as #10 or SS and approach Dembele for the RW position. But with Ronnie at 37, Rashford turning to shit, Martial & Cavani as good as gone and Greenwood ostracised... we will desperately need another #9 for next year.

His favoured role is pretty obsolete.... so ugh, yeah, Newcastle seems a realistic potential, which says it all.

He's not very suited to us, not good enough to be a striker so plays out wide or as a second striker. Doesn't really have the pace or dribbling ability to be effective out wide.

They played together at Juve and it didn’t work. From some of the comments from Dybala it also seems like he wasn’t overstruck on Ronaldo. It would just add more dressing room tension. A team that plays together and pulls together is what we should be aiming for.

Hard pass on this one for me thanks. Guys a bit of a diva, injury prone and exactly the kind of “bargain” we need to stop pursuing.

We rarely pursuit this type of bargain. How many free agents have we picked? Cavani? He didn’t do badly for a free player.

If we signed him we'd probably play him on the right wing, him being a left footer. Sancho, Fernandes and Dybala would be a very strong three behinf a CF, or even without a CF. Obviously we'd still need to do something about midfield and full back where we lack the quality to dominate play.

I could see him moving to Atletico Madrid as they are one of the few top teams left who use two strikers. Aside from that I really don't know where he'll go.

Id prefer Dembele and Anthony. Id take Dybala as a false 9 though. But that would mean Bruno… well

Glasgow resident these days.
One of the blessing of not getting CL football next season is that Dybla will not be interested in a move to United.
A potential classic Woodward signing if there ever was one….thank god that clown has gone.

Dybala has been played wide right before at Juve and was crap. Better just to buy an actual right winger imo. He can only play well as a second striker and even then he doesn't have the legs to work hard and run about due to his numerous injuries. This would be the mother of all snake charms.

It wasn’t a joke.
It would have been better if it had been.

That might have been the worst take I have seen on here for a while.

Bruno is our best player. Why on earth would we swap him for an inferior player who has always been inconsistent and has had injury issues?

I swear fans on here must enjoy us being rubbish.

Not being funny but most takes you have on our club are completely wrong. So I gave more faith than ever that what I’m saying has promise as you fully disagree with it.

Our best player playing in our worst ever period. Watch what happens when he’s finally removed.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a poster with less self awareness than you :lol:

This joker wants Dybala to replace Bruno then spins this line at somebody else.

My takes? Like what? On Pogba? I think you will find I have been proven right on him ten times over by now. Just go read his player thread. Everyone is finally realising what I did 4 years ago. Having talent is only part of the formula.

How on earth you could want to replace Bruno with this guy actually is laughable. What's he's done thats been so impressive to warrant replacing Bruno whose numbers for us have been class?

Bruno hasn't just become a bad player all of a sudden. The team and club is just broken and rudderless without a clear direction.
