The difference is that he gives you these things as a single player. Which gives your team quite a few intriguing matchups to exploit. Few players can defend both his blocks and his speed. That’s where his value comes from.
Nah. There’s no reason to take up 2 roster spots when you can get 1 guy that does 2 jobs. Besides that, a stretch WR that also blocks great in the run game is a devil for a defense to contend with because you get no hints as to the possible play call based on personnel package or formation.

Exactly this.
Like I said, I don't think it's a bad deal but "gives you intriguing matchups to exploit" and "a devil for a defense to contend with" are no phrases I associate with MVS. He was a fine second or third option with Adams as defense's focal point and Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball, I don't think he'll get a much better situation to produce than that, even with Mahomes.

If you don’t associate 4.4 speed + excellent edge blocking with creating mismatches for a defense to worry about, then I don’t know what to tell you. Game planning for a great edge blocker that can also beat you deep is a bitch.

It’s all much of a muchness. They already have at least one 4.3 guy to threaten taking the top off.

What they need is an X target man. Kelce isn’t getting any younger and won’t perpetually be the amazing safety valve he operates as.

Where’s all this coming from. Doesn’t make any sense really.
Just something from Florida sports radio that went viral, so far as I can gather.

The latest rumors are AJ Brown to the Jets, though those are slightly more credible after he posted a ‘only God knows’ type tweet.

Interesting. I know they picked up Woods but losing AJ and Julio together wouldn’t be ideal.

Just been listening to the That’s Good Broncos podcast and they were talking about Hill being traded from KC, and raised the issue of KCs cap situation.

Looking ahead to 2023 and obviously things can be restructured with some players but they’re gonna start paying the price for no longer having Mahomes on a rookie deal:

Mahomes - $46.8m
Chris Jones - $27m
Frank Clark - $28.7m

Perhaps why they couldn’t go as high as Hill wanted.
 Well there's absolutely no chance they're gonna keep him around in 2023 is there.

Just read the nfl.com page on list of departures by team (and who has picked them up if anyone). There’s a lot of good players yet to be picked up.

This kind of slipped under the radar for me, but the Bills were in real danger of being moved. They’ll stay in Buffalo thanks to NY taxpayers…

That’s without doubt the worst part of the sport.

The ridiculous amount of money flowing around the game and into owners pockets but they still dip into taxpayers pockets.

It's downright ridiculous the amount of money the rake in though, they're not even remotely playing in the same tier as the other traditional big four anymore.

My worst part has always been the brain damage to ‘amateur’ athletes (they are not so amateur anymore) that don’t know what they’re getting into, but yeah that is also bad. They can hold local governments hostage in a manner of speaking because they’re so powerful.

Yea tbf the CTE issue is probably worse, but the sheer nerve of the way they hold cities/states to random is disgusting.

Disagree. Dan Campbell alone should be good for some laughs
The silver lining will be more insane Dan Campbell speeches and whatnot.
No doubt there are some things to look forward to. Dan Campbell for sure is one. Another is Jamaal Williams, who by all accounts could give some good highlights for the show. And then it’s the storyline of their two first round picks.

But then on the other hand, it’s a franchise which I suspect is still too far away from being competitive - suspect they still have another year in their rebuild. It’s Goff, again, who is as charismatic as a cardboard box. No immediate intriguing storylines pop out.

Hard Knocks will always find something to follow and make it interesting enough, but the Lions is certainly at the lower end in terms of exciting picks. @Eboue will be happy doh.

Best case scenario is they pick a QB in the first round and let him battle with Goff for the starting gig, that'd be at least somewhat interesting to follow.

I wonder if we'll (Chiefs) try and get OBJ in the late post season depending on his recovery progress. Rumours are that we aren't going to be trading up so we'll need to be signing some free agent WRs.

Finally getting Rodgers some WR help through the draft? If they wanna have a deep threat with elite speed, I guess Jameson Williams makes the most sense from where they're drafting? Although I think Wilson is the most well-rounded of them all.

I'm tryna think back to previous drafts on how ACL injuries have affected wide-receivers stock historically, but given the prognosis on Williams looks pretty good, I'd be surprised if he drops that far.

Word was the NFL types were higher on Jamo than analytic fantasy nerds, so he could still go somewhat early. I don’t think the injury will hurt his stock as much as Ojabo or Pickens, the latter being one from last year.

When are the fixtures announced and is anyone willing to put their neck on the line and guess what date the Packers will play in London? Typically the first time they come to London I might be in America. I notice games are normally October and this year it was start/mid October. Going on Saturday 29th so
I’m praying it’s before then :(

Alternatively I’ll be in multiple cities in America so will be able to get to a game there hopefully.

For some reason it seems to be way worse for RBs than WRs. I remember Kupp tearing his ACL and being back in like half a year.

The most recent RBs I can think of are Tarik Cohen (DNP in 2021 after injury in 2020), Penny (took almost 2 years to get it right again), Saquon (so-and-so since coming back), Dalvin Cook (took more than a season to get back to full strength again).

Adrian Peterson being the exception but that's 10 years ago now.
