He's got a hell of a job on his hands that's for sure. If we could I'd sell almost the whole team for whatever we could get and buy a bunch of hard-working youngsters with some potential, promote the best of our academy products and let him start from scratch. This current lot are bloody inept.

I hope he has already agreed and can’t renege on the deal. We are at a point where Ron Atkinson famously said, “This side needs major surgery… fast.”

This is a full tear-down. Sure, some might show for the new manager for a bit, but leopards never change their spots.

We're going to have to be so patient with him. This is going to take some time to sort out.

Wait, this isnt complicated.

If ETH has a player he cant shift, he drops him to the bench, or out the squad. Its not rocket science.
I agree, bench then, World Cup coking up and they want plying time so will push for a move. The sad thing is that our board won’t let that happen as the players value depreciates. We need to be absolutely ruthless here. I will put up with losses and a steady return if we can see constant improvement and hard work on the pitch.

Yes of course. But that isn't the question. The question is;

ETH wants rid, we can't get rid. What do you do?

It's a hypothetical to illustrate a point (absolute power is bad) not something you can bend to your will.
Reserves, all of them. I rather him coach some kids and free agents that are on 10k per week than watching that shower of overpaid zero effort cnuts.

Only silver lining of this car crash of a season could be the club giving him more control and hopefully not thrusting players upon him.

He can bench players and force transfer requests. As long as the board give him the power and the backing to do that.

Us not being in Europe (any Europe) would be the best thing right? He can trim the squad down quite a bit and we won't need so many players

Getting buyers is another thing.
Also with world Cup season coming players will wanna play right? So maybe they may be more realistic in leaving and wage demands from other clubs if they are being moved on

I hope the board give him all the power. They must look at this, and hear Rangnick’s reports, and see that a new manager is still not going to change this lot into a trophy threat.

Yeah, and I think they will.

I don't think ETH would stick around long if it was any other way.

I believe he must build a side which buy into him (if Ten Hag has the job - I pray he has) and that side does not exist at the club at this moment. A lot of the players who are not prepared to follow him have to go. That is every single one.

Even that whinging little git Fernandes. If ten Hag says, “Keep it simple and stop fecking sulking” then do it. Or feck off and moan in the Spurs midfield.

Sorry, but that’s how I feel about this lot now.

Just out of curiosity why has the next united manager odds gone of William hill? Ten Hag has been 1/25 for the past few days…. Announcement incoming?

PSG might take him if Mbappe leaves, but I fear we only have this summer to make that deal.

Can’t blame ETH for making us jump through hoops with his list of demands. Why would he want to risk derailing his career by coming here and working under this incompetence. We wants our house in order to give him the absolute best chance of succeeding before he even steps foot in the building.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
I feel like we need a "fall guy" in place for a year or two before we get our official manager. Because there's so much work to do, we're not going to look good for a long time and I reckon the next manager won't make it through to the other end of a rebuild.

That was supposed to be Ole….
Too bad we lied about fixing the structure before he was hired

I bet he can’t wait…

Players unconvinced by Ten Hag? they must be joking I’d sell the lot.

I hope the thing about him liking Ruben Névés isn't true. We can get better for the same price.

Given time I think he'll do a fine job for united. I heard Trevor Sinclair on the radio earlier saying he'd have to totally change his style of play. I think that's utter nonsense

Klopp didn't
Pep didn't
Early Jose didn't.

There is nothing wrong with the present set of players. Ole won top 4 with them the last two seasons.

They will do well under Ten Hag. Ralf has been a poor manager.

He was lucky as feck the way last season went down and he was 90 mins from 5th at the close the season prior. He won nothing with them in cups.

Since then, Arsenal Chelsea and Spurs have gotten stronger.

It’s shows an incredible level of delusion of you think there’s nothing wrong with any of the present set of players.

Luck always plays a part in every manager's career - Pep and Klopp included.

Heard all the PR talk that the board are going to back him with signings but I seriously hope they back him more in terms of getting rid of majority of these 1st team players that are stealing a living at this club.

That personally for me will be the bigger win-win than any new signings that we make.
