Pogba's contract offer

Why haven't we withdrawn the contract offer, any serious club would have withdrawn the offer once he refused it. He's not worth 100 grand a week never mind what he's supposed to be offered.
The pogba boat should have sailed two years ago when he indicated that he wanted to leave.
Big clubs like Milan and Munich withdrew contract offers for Donnarumma and Alba, we should have done the same.

Has this been in the news again? Seen it mentioned a few times today. Are we sure this isn't some old news being spun?

Hopefully we rescind it. No point in paying an injury prone player that high salary. Plus his performance has not warranted a new contract anyway

Its painfully obvious. This is going to be his last big contract and His fat cnut agent is fishing round for a bigger offer. No agent fee in it for him and no signing on fee if pogba stays here. But the reason he hasn't already announced a pre contract agreement elsewhere is probably because with his questionable attitude, fitness, workrate and tbh ability (lets face it, pogba thinks hes up there with the best midfielders ever but isnt, hes b/c list), no one is willing to offer more than we are. We should withdraw it. feck off paul, no one wants another 4 or 5 years of your bullshit here

Glasgow resident these days.
He won't hang around for no European football next season. Not having CL football is a blessing in disguise, but players will be hit financially and hopefully be off. Pogba will get a huge pay day in August and thankfully it won't be us paying it.
If the contact is still on the table, then the club is beyond any sensible decision making other than trying to make money - which I'm sure PP does in many ways beyond kicking a football badly.
He is the epitome of why the club has done so poorly over the last few years and I can't wait to see the back of him and his half arsed performances. Waste of money.

You don’t have to withdraw an offer when the player is actively negotiating with other teams. This is like sending a break up text to an ex who’s having sex with the entire school rugby team.

The collective grown of disapproval from the fans when he finally re-signs will be heard all around the globe.

I was going to say similar, although I doubt I'd have phrased it quite so gloriously

It would make the club look silly to announce we're withdrawing a contract that the player clearly isn't going to sign anyway. "You're dumping me? Well......I'm dumping YOU!"

If Pogba's history and reputation as a footballer was unknown and he played in Ligue 1, I doubt a single premiership side would be interested in him.

No way he renews his contract if we end up 6th or 7th in the league. He'll be 30 years old next season, doubt he'll want to spend more time playing in Europe Conference League with Man United.

I feel we probably will finish at the 8th, no kidding.

Maybe for PR reasons? He's clearly not going to renew so by keeping the offer on the table then it's him walking-out on us again when we need him (though not really); if we withdraw then Team Pogba will spin it that he wanted to stay, he was committed, etc., but the club made him leave, which is obviously bollocks.

While i 100% agree with nearly everything what all you say, i would be happy that he stays. What can i say, i am complete sucker on talent and skill. I will always choose Pogba and Martial over likes James and McTominay. Naive, i know

I've been in Paris over the last few days, on our way back to sunny Manchester now!
I've spoken to a few PSG fans & French nationals in bars, they all said the same thing: Pogba is finished as a footballer, both at club level & for the national team. I was a little shocked I thought he was revered by the French people.

Interesting one guy said Pogba's family/entourage (can't remember which) are only interested in partying & are not welcome in Paris.

Which I find hilarious, and terrifying. Withdraw the offer anyway
Its a terrifying prospect for sure because if he is talking to PSG at this late stage it means that theirs is the best offer his fat, greedy agent could get after touting him around Europe for five years. There is still a chance that reality kicks in and he comes back to sign on and continue holding us back with his inconsistencies and minimum commitment.

I mean it’s not like there is a signed (by the club) contract on some table at Carrington or OT which Pogba just needs to sign. So no reason to officially withdraw.
I would hope both parties know they are not renewing.
However unfortunately it would just be typical of us still offering him a new deal.

I think he may end up staying. There's no team out there stupid enough to offer him close to what we are offering him. I think if he really wants to go he will need to take a substantial pay cut.

The irony is his fat greedy agents cut is probably hampering his clients wage. Seems he isn't the world's greatest midfielder after all

What a few supposed PSG-fans tell you casually is pretty irrelevant isn’t it, next to them were probably a few ones that like him. Also, what some randoms say about his family is also pretty uninteresting, I highly doubt they know them and I highly doubt they are not «welcome» in Paris.

The first Ten Hag needs to do if appointed is grab that contract, wipe his arse with it, grab the nearest broom and hand it to Pogba, telling him to clean his new office before asking him to pack his locker and feck off to PSG/Madrid or whatever Galactico project would entertain him and his fat parasite of an agent.

Strong sentiments I know but I'd be livid if we make this charlatan the best paid player in the league.

Just what I heard mate. Wasn't from just one person either. Not saying I believe them either way.

its fair. Hes not even that good a player tbh, if you ranked the likes of zidane, pirlo, scholes, gerrard as a list i believe you get to the c list before you can write his name down.

He's leaving - end of.

No need to get worked up about a contract offer imo

I can't speak for all PSG fans, but I definitely don't want Pogba. Nothing to do with him or his entourage, I think he's a great person personally and a professional, but he's simply not what PSG need in midfield for the wages he would cost.

As far as why United is trying to renew him, I suspect it's not solely because they just love what he's been doing here, but it's not to have the embarrassment of losing him on a free for a second time in his United career and to be able to eventually sell him on.

Why on earth do you think Pogba even puts a second of priority into the champions league!?
He's all about the benjamins and the social media hits.

What a great opportunity we have to clear some vastly overpaid, under-performing, sulkers from the wage bill. Without Pogba, Lingard, Cavani and probably Ronaldo saves us around £1 million a month in wages and will give us the chance to bring in 3 or 4 hungry talented players and probably still have 500k a week spare (transfer fees excluded)
