Real Madrid and Manchester United are the two clubs following Enzo Fernandez closely. Both have already had talks, but there is no formal offer yet A [ManUTD] scout will see him on the pitch tonight. His clause is €20M and rises to €25M ten days before transfer deadline.

As I said in the other thread, stinks of agent talk like Alvarez. I'll wait for some links closer to home.

Kid just smashed one in from the edge of the box. Decent way to impress the scouts.

In the video he's compared to Fred but he looks ok, if Ten Hag and the scouts rate him then why not!

Seems funny to me that at that price it is only Utd and Madrid that are interested but if someone wants attention they may as well mention the two most famous clubs in the world :p

Didn't know Murtough posts here
It is just probability. We get linked to a hundred of South Americans playing there in a decade, but only buy one or two. 99% of rumours are made up to get our name involved, this is one of them.

We may or may not scout him, i doubt we will buy him though. Our midfield needs a bit more than some junior from River Plate.

These are the kinds of signings I think we may as well make this summer. Up to 8 players ranging from £20m-40m

We have so many players either leaving or who can’t be relied on to take us to the next level. Should just throw the dice at some exciting prospects

8 signings? No chance. At best we can hope for 5-6.

Normally I would agree with you. And you probably will be right.

However, I think United need more signings this summer than any other post-SAF. And even United can't cut corners on this one.

Look at who is leaving for (99%) certain - Cavani, Greenwood, Pogba, Lingard, Mata. (And Lee Grant)

Likely to seek transfers - Henderson, Martial, Bailly, Jones

Question marks - Ronaldo, Rashford, Shaw, Maguire, Matic.

So there's a good chance we will need a new backup keeper, or a ball playing one to compete with (or replace) De Gea. With Cavani, Lingard and Greenwood leaving, we will need at least 2 forwards. Elanga cannot be a natural starter and Rashford doesn't start much any more. If Ronaldo leaves, you can up that to 3 forwards needed at least. We need at least 1 top class defensive-minded midfielder as we cannot keep starting McFred regularly and need a long-term Matic replacement. EtH has always liked creativity in midfield too, McFred offer none. Ideally, we will need a replacement for Pogba too. I think EtH will be desperate to get some quality in right back as well, as full-backs are vital to modern football and United's are mid-table level, especially Dalot and Telles.

Simply put, I don't see how United can afford with having as few incomings as usual.

According to Argentine outlet Diario Ole.
Totally off topic, but what astounds me is that we'd watch this lad 4 times according to rumours, but people easily believe the rumour apparently we haven't scouted Nkunku.

By the look of YouTube videos, reminds of young Vidal.

The exact profile of player we should be signing, but wont. City will get him on the cheap and he'll thrive.

I havent watched River since City signed Alvarez tbh. Stats say Enzo is continuing to do well though

As for what I know of him and why ive mentioned him in the past, he gets on the ball passes and keeps it, starts moves and creates and can shoot and get a goal too. He's in that Pogba/Fernandes kind of role and my suggestion would be that if we signed him it would be as a replacement for DVB and Lingard leaving in the summer and not having competition for the AM spot with Bruno, or we see him as long term being our DM playmaker like Pogba can be and he's off.

I think there’s something in this. Saw a few Argentinian fans on Reddit saying that 1) Merlo is basically the Argentinian version of Fabrizio Romano and 2) Fernandez is the best player in Argentina and has huge potential.

We should be going for at least one or two smart, under the radar signings. We can’t afford to keep buying obvious players from affluent leagues, given the squad churn we need.

Agreed with this, you'd think a club like Manchester United should have the best scouting network and has some players like that in mind, because really anyone can "scout" the likes of Sancho. We need to snatch the next Vidic or Evra. Players with the right attitude and fit, and obviously decent skill to develop by a top class coach but right now we have big holes in the squad and need to be efficient in the transfer market.

2 under the radar targets/ cheaper punts, 2-3 academy graduate promotions/loanees back, 2 top market signings, 1 clever loan of a senior player.

If 1 cheap punt, 1 academy player, 2 senior player signings work out, then we just need to make the rest of the squad we have better and we can see a serious improvement.

That’s where RR comes in.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
So I’m not one to go by the YouTube videos of players playing in leagues where the tempo is low and the space is everywhere but he looks a real talent on his every touch highlights. Plays the ball very quickly, lots of first time passing and nearly always forward and progressive. Usually to Alvarez who smashes it in - he looks a great talent too unfortunately. You can see why both are so highly rated.
