I'm convinced we'll sign more than 3 with all the outgoings, but it won't be a revolution agree, club isn't bold enough

If we don't listen to what Rangnick has been saying then absolutely nothing will change - so expect more of that.

Tbh we don't need that many incomings, as our squad has been too big. Also, a few loan players will come back, such as DvB, Amad, Laird, Garner, and maybe Martial so probably 3-4 new players will be enough. The important thing is that they are good enough and more so fit the profile in how we want to play.

3-4 quality, first team signings would be a good window to be fair.

So we have at least 5 players leaving on free (6 if include Greenwood), but we will only target 3 new signings?

What a joke of a club.

Its not surprising if you actually read the article. They are saying we won't sign 10 players. Obviously. Our budget is between 100-150m with outgoings adding to that which is more than enough. A summer of 3-5 players in total makes sense for me, and is realistic. Players we've been linked with in some capacity that I've noticed:
  • DM - Tchouameni/Kamara/Phillips?
  • CM - De Jong?
  • ST - Darwin?
  • RW - Antony/Nkunku?
  • Defence - Timber/Pau Torres/Kounde?
  • GK - Johnstone
Even this is unrealistic to be honest. I doubt we get more than one midfielder, and we won't get 4 starters. Probably 3 starters (DM, ST and RW hopefully), a backup goalkeeper and a squad player/developmental guy like Timber.

That Rangnick’s comment is always taken out of context, he never said in one window, only that 6, 7, maybe 10 players will need to come in.

Looking at the amount of outgoings we will have, I think we will have 4 or 5 coming in, with maybe 1 or 2 in the winter window if the players with the profile we want become available, then another 3 or 4 in the next summer window and we will essentially have a whole different team going into 23/24 season, which is the two years period Ralf said is needed to overhaul the squad. And that’s just from market activity, not taking into account any promotion from our reserves/academy, which ten Hag will take advantage of knowing his record at Ajax.

Nothing new, the board and owners are a joke and the club will not change until the Glazers and their cronies are gone.

There could be players we already have who if coached properly can operate in a ETH system, the club will also want him to look at the kids we have, it is about time some are brought in not through a manager having an odd whim or just we have an injury crisis. I can understand it will take more than one window to put everything right. If we parachute ten players in it could just end up chaotic.

Not really when we should realistically remove 7-8 players from the squad - those with expiring contracts and those that are clearly not at the level we need Man Utd players to be. Jones, Bailly, Matic, Mata, Pogba, Cavani at the very least should go and that is six players that had a role this season. We will be left with a very thin team.

Ten Hag needs to sign players with the right pedigree. He's gonna have to take a sledgehammer to this current team.
He's gotta be a legend killer with some of these players.

Here we go.

As long as we get a minimum of 4 signings (CB, DM, RW, ST) and then promoting the likes of Hannibal/Garner. That's a good start.

Not holding my breath on him being allowed to have a say on the core group (AWB, Maguire, Shaw, Mctominay, Rashford).

There are only two of the players you named who have had any serious imput this season, the others have either been deemed only good enough for five minutes here or there or are sicknotes.

Evo engines are better then the new revolution crap.

Seeing as we are currently playing like our captain aka knucklehead, even a shovel would be an upgrade.

Rangnick wants 20 players out the door, I'd rather we take his opinions with a pinch of salt. You can't get rid of an entire squad and sign a new one in the same window, that's not how real life football works.

Don't bother with the reactionary lot on here. Three signings minimum plus anything else we can recoup from sales is fairly normal for a club that won't be making CL or even EL next year. I'd say that should come to around 5 players total.

I'm sure there really are muppets that believed Rangnick's nonsense of 10 signings.

This. Including the players out on loan, and the younger players in the squad that will likely see more integration next year, this was always going to be a summer of more departures than signings. Didn't Rangnick comment on the size of the squad when he first got in?

4-5 players who can improve the first team is a great window imo.

Rangnick spoke about 10 potential players over 3 windows (this summer, January and next summer), not one window.

Struggle to see how we can raise much from player sales. Maybe 15-20m from AWB? I know he's come for much more, but he's rubbish.

What did people really expect? That we replace entire team?
