Give him 6 months to prove himself under the new manager, otherwise tell him to start looking for a club in January. He's just stopped giving a feck.

Sell.

Waster of a player. I'd perhaps give him more leeway if he was at least trying but its pretty evident he doesn't care.

Better for all parties if he's shifted on.

While there's a decent player in there who's ridiculously out of form now, there is no character, which is inexcusable. Sell if a half decent offer comes in.

Yep he was always going to be a peak Walcott/Sturridge. Don't think he will be more - we should cash in before he falls consistently to their lows too.
Peak Sturridge was on another planet to Rashford.
And feck that goal celebration.

I think it’s sad how it’s turned out with Rashford, And to be honest I don’t think a lot of it is his fault. I wonder what would of happened if he had been allowed to develop as a striker under a manger who Atcually knew how to develop players which we haven’t had since Van Gaal.

There is no excuse for not trying. I have walked out of games when I have seen him strolling around this season.

I think one thing we can all agree is that if this rashford continues into ETH like this, he'll be as invisible as cavani in no time. ETH knows what a poison does to a team.

6 months is too long to entertain someone who's apparently downed tools. The effort should be visible every single game regardless of form and that goes for every member of this squad and not just Rashford. Even when we were a mid table club before Fergie arrived we never had players who clearly couldn't be arsed. Playing football for a living is a charmed life. Playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world even more so. Lack of effort is unfathomable to me.

can’t believe Ronaldo was telling him where to go and had to drop into his position to cover for him. Lack of effort was criminal, there’s no excuse I can think of, life long United supporter and just doesn’t put in the effort.
Is there a video of it. @GifLord ?

When is enough is enough? The lad isnt even giving a feck. Even he had no manager running and kicking the ball should be basic for every footballer.

The issue is not technical or tactical. He wasnt even running

The whole team is strolling though basically apart from Fred.

He didn’t use to be like that, when he first came up he gave it his all, even under Mourinho when he was asked to basically almost as a wing back.

But you spend years under mangers who don’t develop players, in what has consistently been the worst coached teams basically since Van Gaal left. He has basically had the key years of his development wasted. Then a new coach come in (Rangnick) and doesn’t see the young prospect he once was, but a player who is now in his mid 20’s whose basically had all his potential wasted and drops him in favour of younger players who still have potential. That’s gonna annoy any player.

25 touches yesterday. Gave the ball away 10 times. Made 12 passes.

I'm sure the bids from Liverpool and Barca will be arriving any day now...

It's a lovely plan but it requires a club willing to pay 40 mil plus pick up his 200 large a week. There are not very many clubs that slot into that description. Please don't say Newcastle fit the bill cause they ain't buying every flop in the league.
Not long ago he got 20 goal a season, and as regarded as PL top talent. He is still very young and may still turn his career around, so I don’t think it’s hard to sell him for 40m+.

"Give him time to turn it around".....he has been here six years, playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world. He has had some good periods but some are still not sure if he is a left winger or a striker, he is on a big salary and has a year left on his contract. No way we should offer him a new one he has been abysmal, shockingly abysmal this season and we shouldnt fall into the trap of keeping supposedly talented players that have nevr performed and allowing them to leave on a free as we are seeign this summer.

He simply has to be sold this summer, there are better players already in his position here, in the England side, in Europe, yet we could still sell him for around £50m, its an easy decision

If we could get 50/55 million for him this summer I would sell, and bring a couple of players in.
After his long spell of poor form I doubt anybody would pay that sort of money for him, we'd be lucky to get offers of around 25/30 million.

If he can leave with a good price, I don't think there is reason to keep him for the next season.

Wasted his potential, poor attitude, doing nothing on the pitch.

There's reason why RR dropped him and AWB. I wish we could play better if he is on the bench in the Chelsea game. We literally competing with only 10 man.

Offer him a 12 month extension on the same wages he's on now.

If he agrees, gives him a year to sort himself out (mentally and physically).

If he declines, sell and move on.

I don't care what a new manager might do with him, he's shown his character this year and that can't be changed. Sell him now before the whole football world realizes he's a fraud and not worth anything. Even if he gets back to form, you wont see me cheer his name, just his contribution, done with him as a United player.

I've been saying this for a while, and it also goes for the rest of the squad - they've shown their true colours this season, most of the squad should be replaced.

This. Agreed. Seconded.

Even if (hypothetically) ten hag gets them to follow a system which starts to get results you know deep within that in crunch high stake games these lot will fold and go into hiding. Nothing positive will come by sticking with these rotten bunch apart from top 4. And this is assuming they'd be able to follow a fecking system which in itself is highly doubtful.

Why'd they use that zoom effect? I can't figure out where he actually is. I know he's not left of Ronaldo, to pick up the RWB if the ball goes there, but I don't know how far he is from where he's supposed to be.

Only because of the usual media hype, in reality he was never that talented.

Selling him for 40+ would be a miracle due to his wages.

On the same wages? Why the feck should we offer him wages that high?

We would struggle to sell him to anyone with those wages.

He’s just walking around. He hasn’t looked like a professional footballer for the last 6 months.

I can't accept him refusing to do the basics. You don't get a free pass because you're from the academy. Lack of quality and mistakes I can deal with, but a lack of running and effort ………get out of the club

We need to sell him imo.

No mercy.

That’s not true at all. Why are you even saying that as a statement of fact? Ronaldo is doing so much more despite being 37 yrs old. Elango busts his gut , Mctominay does more than him, Bruno does more than him, Sancho, Telles, everyone is doing more than him. But he just sticks like a sore thumb when it comes to workrate. It happened the whole season not just one game. Every game he just refuses to do the workrate required and just strolls around. What he did last night was a disgrace.

The whole team is suffering due to coaching but that is no excuse to not even putting the effort. Why are you making it about the coaching when it is about the professional pride and workrate ? Coaching isn’t gonna cure his laziness and effort. I’m sure you know all that so why are you twisting it like that ?

You look at that video of ETH yelling at Noa Lang to carry out his role within that Ajax team, and wonder if Rashford is going to do that after these past few months of casual jogging.

He'll be a poisonous influence to academy players, in my opinion.

Achieve all the surface level boons of football, fame and money, with minimum effort on the pitch and zero punishment for that minimum effort. Old Trafford still adore him, the manager still plays him. He is taking the piss out of the club.

Ten Hag wouldn't be allowed to get rid of him for PR reasons either.

He is a massive, massive problem.

Shit attitude. Poor technique and who knows how his physical state is because he's not exhibiting any athleticism.

Only a poorly ran club like us would still give him chances to get on the pitch.

Ralph has given him numerous chances to get back some form and to impress, both coming off the subs bench and as a starter.
He's disappointed on every occasion.

On that recent record, should Rashford even get a spot on the bench for the last 3 games?

If what's been said about Ten Hag being ruthless about energy and dedication on the pitch next season we'll see a totally different Rashford on the pitch, or we wont see him at all.

No way does he deserve a new contract... He should be proving he deserves it this next season. Frankly it's embarrassing that as a United lad he's not running all over the pitch fighting for the badge.
