I mean the man *choose* not to be there today

Certainly a huge player for us during the golden days of CL but he's pretty much decided he does not care for his legacy here
In the past I've always defended Bale as I thought he was getting some undeserved and disproportionate amount of hate, specially if compared to the likes of Hazard who has been a terrible deal and player for us.

Nontheless, the past few seasons he hasn't done himself any favors by deciding he's injured and can't play for us and a couple of days later he would be trainning and playing for Wales, or like today were he wasn't anywhere near the stadium or the celebration.

Some people might think it's best for him no to even show up and he would only get abused but my take is that he's still part of the club and getting paid and he was a valuable player for the club at one point. What he's doing now is far from professional, I can understand him having issues and not wanting to be involved with the spanish press but he owes himself to the fans and even Hazard was there with his family. So there's really no way to justify anything of what he's doing now, if he wants to leave the club from the back door so be it.

I love the fact that they've won their 3 titles since Bale's been there in the 3 years he's played the least.... dudes a legend. Bigger than Madrid.

2 Ligas in 3 years; a mix of veteran stars from 14-18 (Benzema, Modric, Kross, Casemiro, Carvajal,...eh Bale?), good signings (Courtois, Alaba, Militao, Mendy) and last but not least, the eclosion of Vinicius.

It's amazing how much (and how quickly) they have recovered from the terrible 2018-19 season.

This La liga season has been pretty dire imo, lack of any real competition and Real walking / given the title pretty much.

Need a refresh at Atletico, end of the Simeone era? Obviously FCB got massive financial problems, lucky they managed to get "around" the rules, Pep did them a favour with Torres and Arsenal with Auba.

It helps that Barcelona has regressed. They set and incredible standard from 2010-2020. It was almost impossible to win the league. Real Madrid got over 90 points 4-5 times without winning the league - If I remember correctly.

Hazard now has as many La Liga titles as Ronaldo but some people rate the Portuguese higher because he has a few more goals.
I read on twitter that Hazard has 2 goal pr. La Liga title. Ronaldo has 155.5 goals pr. La Liga title. Work smart, not hard.

Honest words. I appreciate that. I doubt Barcelona will have another decade of domestic dominance like 2009-2019.

Carlo is the only coach in history to have won league titles in France, England, Germany, Italy and Spain
He is an all timer.
Winning Ligue 1 with a bankrolled PSG, Bundesliga with Bayern, La Liga with Real Madrid, Premier League with a bank rolled Chelsea.

Not exactly the toughest accomplishments. It kind of shows that he could only win the league with the best team in each of these leagues. Also he is the only manager to have managed all the top teams in each league, kind of half the reason he is the only coach to have won the league in them countries.

All it takes is for Mourinho to go to the best team in France and Germany, and Pep to go to the best team in France and Italy for them to have the same accomplishment, they would basically walk the league as it almost guaranteed as manager of PSG and Bayern.

Hell, if I managed PSG and Bayern I would win the league.

The only really great accomplishments from him are winning 3 CL titles and Serie A with Milan. The rest are mainly from him choosing the best team or the richest team or both.

Maybe we're on course dor another wild west era in la liga?
From 1994 to 2003 , 5 teams won it (barca, deporting,Valencia, atleti and of course real).
Atleti has already proven they could win it , maybe Sevilla will also add itself to the mix?

Milan was a top 3 team in Europe at the time. So you can discount his serie a title with Milan as well while you are at it.

This is easy to say now. When he joined Chelsea they had not won the league for 3 years, and he won it in his first season. It was a very competitive one. And his Chelsea was an attacking team. He won by unleashing the ultimate Drogba version...

His title with PSG was their first in 20 years (of course bankrolled, but far less bankrolled than Pochettino and Emery were when they lost it in 2017 and 2021). This being said, he had to win it, it would have been a failure not to.

Last May as he joined Real Madrid, they were not favorites at all. It was just as competitive.

Yes of course, he is being praised for his job managing top teams. All the top managers take jobs at the very top, it is very rare to see an accomplished manager willing to take a midtable team.

Thanks! Hopefully! Of course it would be unexpected, in a year of transition, with a coach considered to be in decline, without Mbappe...

You sound like what they describe as hater. All I did was point out a fact, I don't even know why you needed to precise all of that
