If the club re-sign him, then ETH is going to be shackled from day one and the much hoped for re-build won’t amount to anything.

Even on his current wages, that‘s a huge amount money that wold be better spent on the wages of three or four new, useful players.

We NEED to get rid of this guy. He has failed multiple managers and pretty much does whatever he wants.
Not only that, but his injury record is horrendous.
We need athletes in the team who are prepared to run/play hard. IMO, Ronaldo (at 37) has to be the standard (I don't demand that players perform like 23-year-old Ronaldo - that would be unreasonable).

Never been more let down by a united player. He's mugged us twice.
He might mug us for a 3rd time.
If we get rid of him, it will signal a change in the board's stance, regarding how and why we sign players.
The old board would've re-signed Pogba for commercial reasons.

The only use he is to the club is image rights and social media following. So financial, not footballing reasons. Please just cut our losses and pull the offer.

Because Mino died and people think that Pogba hasn't agreed a deal with another club.

Also because we're dumb enough to offer a contract renewal in the first place.

Di Marzio is saying our contracts still on the table. If we do nothing else this summer, not giving Pogba a deal is one of the most important. We need to move on from this whole saga and have a fresh start, keeing Pogba on over 500k a week for a player who’s done virtually nothing for us would be the worst way to start this new era

I really hope we give him a huge raise and sign him for another five years just to see the meltdown on here.

I have a recurring nightmare that he signs a 5 year deal, cannot remember any players i would want to leave more than him.

Surely Ten Hag doesn't want him?
No manager at City, Chelsea, Liverpool or Bayern would want him. PSG might because the league is weak and they have the squad to accommodate him but none of the biggest sides in the world would be better with him overall. No top tier team carries a player currently.

I think I'll cry if we sign Pogba to a new contract.

It's clear he has never been happy here and it's clear the majority of Utd fans, including the matchgoing reds , have turned against him.

It would be soul destroying if he's still here next season.

Same salary as before? What did he do to deserve to earn the insane salary he was never worth in the first place?

Decision over Pogba contract will show us did we change as a club or it is same shitshow with another manager.

Trade for what? Nobody is matching his wages. So we’ve to pay him to go play for another club so we can trade for a better player? Sounds like a really bad idea. If he was that good clubs would at least match his current wage as they are saving 30 million or whatever he’s worth these days
One can hope someone like PSG takes him off our hands.
In this recession it’s looking less and less likely.

We’re probably offer him a contract and can’t see anyone matching..

See, that's the thing, we would have heard something by now if he had "several other offers" to consider, but we've heard nothing of another club showing interest in signing him on his current bloated salary. Not a word.

I still have this nagging feeling he's going to renew with us, and I think that would be a big step back for the club, not to mention embarrassing - we all know the only reason Pogba stays is that he couldn't find another club prepared to meet his salary demands.

Just withdraw the offer already and make it public. What's the benefit to keeping it on the table at this point?

Rangnick already said he is likely to leave. I don't understand how much more public it can be made, short of putting it on the website and twitter.

If we end up keeping pogba and Lingard we deserve another decade in the wilderness. Feck them and feck anyone who contributes to keeping them here.

This. How managers have to be thrown under the bus before the board realizes.

If we genuinely are offering him the best contract then I have lost what little faith I had in our cultural shift.

Some might wonder why such a wonderful player who is available on a free isn't commanding huge salary offers from other clubs...

Considering Juve paid Ramsey £400k/week because he was a free agent and they paid no transfer fee, if none of the top teams will match our offer that should be somewhat of a red flag. Then again his average performance in the United shirt and his injury record should probably be red flag enough for us to rescind the contract offer.

But that's the point, saying he's "likely to leave" means the contract offered to him at the start of the season is still available now, and that amazes me.

Pogba has burned all bridges with the club and the fanbase. It's unfathomable that he resigns with us for those reasons alone.

That said, it wouldn't suprise me in the slightest to see him named in our 25-man squad next season.

Maybe Ten Hag finally is the manager to get the best out of him...

If he stays we need to have some hope.

No we don't, delusion helps no one.

If Pogba stays and ETH has to shoehorn him into his plans then his United tenure is over before it began.

Need a few more rounds of feck off Pogba tomorrow to remind the board he's not going to get support if he stays.

Always someone post something like this.

He's useless. He's a sack of s**t. And mostly, a VIRUS.
