Harsh on Rojo and I won't accept any worst United XI without Darmian at fullback.

Agreed, he was an OK centre back, poor at LB.

Kleberson also had a better career than a lot who appeared here and Bebe went on to have a decent level career too.

Dong Fangzhou surely should be there?

Yeah Dong is a good shout.

To be honest it's harsh to put Buttner in there also I think we have worse fullbacks than him now or at least a few that aren't any better.

I always find it funny that Prunier gets on these lists. Signed as a trialist had one decent game, set up a goal. Followed by a shocker where he was part of a team where half of the normal defence was missing. And Fergie wanted to keep him for longer.

I wouldn't just go for players who were just plain shite, but also players who have been utter shite but should have been a lot better than they were. I also would find it hard to include youth players who were given a shot but just weren't good enough in the long run, otherwise you could fill a team with the likes of Spector, Wallwork, Eagles, Gibson, Dong etc..

Carroll

Wan Bissaka
Jones
Rojo
Buttner

Veron
Kleberson
Djemba x2

Sanchez
Miktharian
Di Maria

Subs.
Bellion
Manucho
Bebe
Miller
Taibi
Darmian
Telles
May
Poborsky
Cruyff

Weird inclusion. He was bought as marketing tools and never to be taken seriously.

Bosnich on the other hand brought as a very stable GK from Villa and turns out to be a coke addict.

Mkhitaryan was absolutely great in the beginning of first season until he got injured. So he's way off the worst eleven.

Don't sign old players and cast offs
Schweinsteiger was not a completely incompetent player himself, although not a good one either in his time for us, but he believed totally in his manager's negative and depressing football, was his representative in the team, and embodied and promulgated his ideas on the pitch. Schweinsteiger should be shite captain of the shite team.

Players like Obertan, Bebe, Manucho, Varela even Buttner shouldn't be included.

They should come up with some criteria, like number of league games or something like that.

Was Varela worse than random kids we gave debut to, like Blackett? Dont think so.

The criteria is worst united XI of the PL era, granted he wasn't bought for footballing reasons but there are question marks around Bebe and Manucho in the same way as skirting fee's

Why does the source take me to an article about platini?

Anyway I think you need to set a criteria for these, maybe a minimum number of appearances? As in sure there is someone who never got the chance to play but was probably dogshit .

Too harsh on bebe. He was bought for peanuts as a punt. We could have make him a decent player but our standard at the time was golden we have no time for that.

Played quite ok bebe if given time and less pressure. Certainly weren't the worst united players pound for pound

Darren Gibson and Peirera definitely have a place in my 11. Telles and Brandon Williams are no better than Buttner IMO.

Pereira and Mctominay in midfield - mainly because of the amount of game time they've been afforded.

I always feel a little sorry for Taibi as he's always included in 'shit' lists. He was MotM in his first game against the dippers which United won 3-2 and again in the next match, a 1-1 draw v Wimbledon.

Then came that howler against Southampton and the 5-0 loss to Chelsea; I believe also he had family issues in Italy. Sir Alex told him to take some time out, go home and sort things whilst we played in the club World Cup. But wanted him back. Taibi, however, made the decision to leave.

Personally, I can't believe we persisted so long with the likes of Carroll and Howard whilst van der Sar was at Fulham.

Genuinely reckon this team would have done passion and bite and probably beat our current lineup.

McTominay has to be in that midfield, Kleberson and Djemba, they weren't good obviously but that's just the standard of our players these days

Players who only made a couple appearances here and there like Bebe and Varela should not be on these lists. They should have to meet a certain amount of games played before they become relevant.

Yeah agreed, should be players with minimum 25 apps or something.

McT & Gibson in the CMs with Pereira at 10, tragic midfield 3 offering nothing but disappointment for fans and teammates alike.

Theres no doubt we've had our share of duds over the years, but in the past there were very rarely more than 1 or 2 damp squibs in the team at once, but our present team consists almost entirely of no hopers. Also, I wonder how Fabian Barthez escapes being in the lists produced here; for me he was the most unreliable, inconsistent and inept keeper I ever saw in a United shirt, although Jim Leighton runs him close.

It's pointless without some kind of cap (as others have said).

Players like Dong and Bebe are pure anomalies, they barely played and they don't in any shape or form represent the actual level of the team/squad at the time.

No idea how that happened. Edited.

Darmian ---- Maguire ---- Blackett ------ Buttner

------------ Powell ---- Fellaini ---- Gibson -------------

Obertan ---------------- Falcao ---------------------- Bebe

I've never seen one of our defenders look as unconvincing as Maguire this season.

What is Kleberson doing in there? Not that he was good but I think he gets a bit too much hate frankly. I've seen him play a few quite good games with us. The likes of Nick Powell and Dong Fangzhou are surely more deserving of a spot. Rojo shouldn't be here either. I think Blackett and Darmian are for sure worth mentioning. Sounds crazy considering their actual ability but if we're basing it just on what they showed for Utd, Falcao, Sanchez and Schweinsteiger are honestly worth considering also. I didn't even know who Prunier was tbh. Gibson seems a bit harsh. He gave a decent number of average performances. He certainly wasn't good but we've had worse cms for sure (at least in terms of what they actually delivered for Utd).

Forgive the source.

Don't agree that's the worst; can you make a better (worse) xi?
Shout out to Paddy Mcnair to replace Rojo and although he was obviously a good player Falcao was utterly useless for us. Kenny Miller over Kleberson possibly too?

The worst thing is, the team above managed by Fergie would probably still beat us now.

Didn't Donald Love play a game for us at right back?

He's far worse than Varela or Darmian for me

Fellaini scored too many important goals. We'd be 10 years without a trophy without him. He'd walk into the current side too.
