Tough first half that, this Forest side are a lot more physical. I'm guessing their average age is a year or so above ours?

We're being dominated really, we can't handle their physicality, only Mainoo has and we're not giving him the ball enough.

McNeil hasn't done much either, their CBs have him in their pocket, he needs to change his approach.

Enjoyed that first half, the standard was far higher than I expected.

Mainoo and Hanson look like proper midfielders.

Why does every single white player on the pitch apart from Hansen have the exact same haircut? Sideshave and fecking floppy bit on top.

Kids these days.

We need to improve in the second half if we want to win this. Too sloppy in possession.

He’s still a boy though physically, not to be harsh but the conditioning of our squad is miles off that of forest. Then again so many first team players have nothing on them either.
He is but he looks like he'd hold his own. A few cameo appearances next season would hold him in good stead too.

Jurado probably our best player atm. Bennet makes me nervous on the ball but very impressed with Jackson who I haven’t seen play before. 1-1 Probably a fair reflection of the game so far.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
1-1 the least Forest deserve. Jurado aside who has been great our decision making on the ball has been pretty poor. Constantly trying to switch it far too early when we should be trying to build phases through the midfield which we’ve just bypassed repeatedly. Hopefully nerves and not something they’ve been told to do tactically - it’s like hero ball all the time - watching a team of Bruno’s

Surprised to see posters here praise individuals as well as the side in general.

I'm as keen to heap praise on these young lads at the first opportunity as anyone but if we're being honest, the dire lack of quality in that half was plain to see.

We’ll if you watch the youth team regularly you know they usually play much better than this. The pressure is clearly getting to them but I’ve been impressed how disciplined Mainoo and Gore have been, really closing the gaps quickly.

Two goalkeeping errors really. Forest have looked good. Garnacho and McNeill have been isolated. Garnacho greedy at times too.

Too many long balls from the back for me, forest look the more physical side and have the momentum.

We have quality on the bench if we need to change it

Mcneil looks lightweight and hasn't developed much physically in the last 18 months

We need to get Isak Hansen off and make it a contest in the midfield, he is a complete non factor. Mainoo and Gore have been alright when they get on the ball but the game is passing them by owing to not having the numbers in the middle.

Garnacho sloppy on the goal for Forest, needs to get his head out of his arse defensively.

Juardo has been good.

United has been poor. Jurado very good so far though. United needs to stop hoofing it, it's especially dumb since Forest wins everything in the air. Give the ball to Mainoo and Gore. Keep it simple. McNeill, and especially Garnacho, tries too hard.

We're dominating them and look far more dangerous. Just need to get the final ball right and we'll get the 2nd.

Stop this 4231 and bring Hansen back in midfield. Maybe sub Oyedele.

Take Mather off and bring Ennis. Garnacho is supergreedy also, would soon take him off for Hugill and play McNeil out wide.

Forest look the better side both on and off the ball. A lot of energy and winning nearly every single 50:50 duel & 2nd balls.

Our lads look fazed and overwhelmed by the occasion. Need to relax. Make a tweak to the formation as McNeill has been starved of service.

There's clearly a quality player in Hanson but he needs to bulk up a bit. He got outmuscled all night.
