How do we always end up with shit looking kits.

Is this Woodward giving Adidas free reign to do what they want with our shirts for a few extra quid? Who at the club signs off on these designs?

Fair enough, but you have to understand how much abuse we took from other club supporters over that kit. It’s highly unlikely we’ll ever see a zebra kit again in the PL.
That’s down to adidas and their fashion forward thinking. Puma might come out with some odd ridiculous kit considering they thought putting the name of the team on the kit was worthwhile ala BVB and Man City.

There were some nasty kits in the early 90s that would give the United zebra kit a run for the money, but none in the PL I can think of. There might have been one Hull City kit, a zebra kit actually, but I can't find it anywhere on the internet. United had the infamous gray kit that had to be stripped off at halftime, but the issue I believe wasn't so much that it was ugly but that it was actually hard to see.

Man i always was a little envious of other teams having Adidas as their kit sponsor in the past, they were always more interesting to me than the nike designs. Then they became our sponsor and produced nothing but shit.

As far as the Adidas kits go I think the following (home shirts only)

15/16: boring
16/17: solid
17/18: solid
18/19: real bad
19/20: fantastic
20/21: decent
21/22: boring
22/23: horrendous

So about a 50/50 chance of getting a good shirt during the Adidas run

And almost every one of the away and third shirts have been garbage

06/07 home and away and 08/09 home, away and third are the pinnacle United kit sets. Absolute class looks and if we could go back to Nike and wear some combination of those kits every season I'd be happy forever. We'll never do better than those, especially not with Adidas.

Completely agree there. Those are our best kits ever imo. Simple yet so stylish.

The two best home kits Adidas have given us by a country mile listed as boring? Not having it.

It looks ok, nothing amazing. Though would easily look better if they got rid of the ugly crest around the United logo. That just makes it looks like a tacky patch has been added on some random shirt.

£85 for the shirt, jeez.

The warm up jacket the lads wore last night is smart and £70. Adidas do a sign up offer of 20% off too which isn't too bad.
They're excluded from the discounts

It's nice alright.
I got a remake of the white 1991 Cup Winners Cup jersey off DH Gate a couple of weeks back. Very good remake.
I've seen that site mentioned a few times but it scares the bejeesus out of me that I'll order and end up with a shirt with nothing on it. Are there any recommended sellers on there?

Yeah I like that jacket, I'll prob go for that when I have the money. Not spoiled by Tezos sponsorship either, which was on the jackets the youth team wore.

£85 a bit of a joke, will almost certainly end up buying the home shirt though.

On top of the questionable design of the collar, I go running and I wouldn’t want to run with a collar like that. I’d expect it to impact my performance.

Clever by Adidas, allowing them to get the excuses in for the bad performance even before a ball has been kicked.
