Bayern will sell him this summer if they can get an adequate replacement. But who would that be?

The greatest! Romelu Lukaku, who else?!!

I hear its Lukaku, Schick or Nkunku. Who'd you want?

I thought his contract renewal was wrapped up already for an extra season or two? You can't rely on anything these days but if these are his quotes after the game today, then that's some big statements.

His contract renewal has been anything but wrapped up. There have been various rumours for a long time now.

Contract expires in 2023 and he clearly wants to leave.

He's pissed off at Nagelsmann's tactics and the Bayern board apparently.

If those are my options maybe Nkunku (who is not an all out striker) but then i prefer to keep Lewy a year and let him leave on a free next summer.

A lot. Tries to be way too attacking. His new formation of a back 3 doesn't suit Bayern much.

They overcrowd the opponent box and spam crosses. The attackers have no space to get the shots away. Way too top heavy. Defense extremely leaky.

They're literally hindering their best players by not even allowing them to receive the ball in dangerous areas.

They played many matches with all 3 wingers Sane Coman Gnabry at the same time. The side lacked balance. Muller is being nullified by these tactics too.

They went through a spell where they hardly created anything. Against Villareal they had remarkably low clear cut chances.

Barca links are getting traction, it genuinely looks like this is it.
His agent is in munich to negotiate with bayern.
Still a strange choice I feel, Barca are still not in a very good form and didn't they just buy aubamyang whos doing rather well?

Every year could be Lewandowski's last as an elite striker. Maybe he just wants to play for a Spanish top club while he still can.

Isn't he already playing for a better one? Or at the same level at least.

Maybe he's going for the weather, who knows.

Many people don't know this, but Bayern are actually not a Spanish club. ;)

I doubt Bayern would be dumb enough to sign Lukaku and if I remember correctly officials from both Leverkusen and Leipzig have said that they intend to keep their players and I don't expect Bayern to be willing to pay a fee that would change their mind.
I could see them make enquiries about Haller.

I think Schick would be a great signing, better than Haller. Has a lot of the qualities Lewandowski has.

Seems very strange move for him. Perhaps he wants more money and new challenge?

You Germans sure lack a sense of humor  .

Anyway I could see bayern make do with a makeshift option till a permanent case arises.

It's less about humor and more about what passes for a reasonable opinion here. I'd be surprised if English media won't link Lukaku with Bayern.
Jesus Christ, no one will link lukaku anywhere after the vile season he's had.
Or at least I hope so.

Chelsea would make sense for him. They do well with ageing players and really need a CF.

But I guess they aren't allowed? In which case the Barcelona links make some sense. Hopefully it expedite the FDJ transfer.

Would have loved to see him in the Prem. I'm sure Prem fans haven't seen nearly enough of his game.

Was so close to joining United at one point. What could have been!

Fabinho's forehead
I have always imagined the perfect CF robot would be the combination of him and Zlatan. Then he can stare at the goal and it'll explode.

While Zlatan is pretty complete, I'd say his size takes away a bit from his mobility. You'd also expect a player with his physicality to be even better in the air.

Lewandowski is big enough to bully defenders physically while also mobile enough to get in behind. Plus brilliant in the air. More perfect as a CF robot.

I'd throw prime Cavani in there as well tbh.

I reckon he’d have been very shearer like, banging them in with feet and head

Tough few summers for Bundesliga fans with Sancho, Lewa and Haaland all leaving. Really hurts the league

I'd say he keeps a picture of that volcano is his pocket and gives thanks to it every day for saving him from that.

Correct me if I am wrong but imo the Prem striker who is the closest to Lewandowski in terms of playing style and player profile is a prime Raul Jiminez.

Lewandowski is a better version of him.

Shearer and Lewandowski's penalty styles are so drastically different yet both are so effective from the spot. Love it!

Yeah stylistically different, I just meant it’s not often we get a player good with both feet and head

Barca bound unfortunately. I’m normally wary of these stopgap signings but he’s still class and beggers can’t be choosers.

He's 34, scored close to 350 goals. Bayern should let him go. Forcing him to stay is a bit petty imo.
