They were missing their strike force to be fair.

Both games still could be won by anyone in the second legs.

Bournemouth, West Brom, Sheffield United, Norwich. And then the prospect of Luton and Huddersfield. Oh god. Such middling pedrigree teams.

Finally can we have Nottingham Forest back in the top division again?
I was liking you from the crypto thread... :nono:

Bloody hell… just come for a browse and seen the comments from our game on Saturday  some people have no idea we have no senior strikers fit and are now completely reliant on Gibbs-White and the boy Ndiaye. We had no right getting into the top 6 but pushed on.

Forest a whisker away from finishing top 2 it’s no surprise that they look strong and were favourites to win the playoffs.

I get not many of you want to watch championship football or even have an interest in it which is fair enough but I’m not having us being categorised as cloggers  been superb since Heckingbottom took over with some lovely football on show.

Fair play to Huddersfield. Got a solid team there and will definitely fight for a result at Wembley.

Thought Luton were the better team but Huddersfield have quality going forward.
Rhodes has such experience at that level, and when you have quality balls like that coming into the box then you know he'll bag a few.

Shame as I was hoping United would have to travel to Kenilworth Road at some point!!

Luton went for it to be fair to them and I quite fancied them at half time. It’s love or hate with Kenilworth Road and based on my visit this season I’m not looking forward to the next one

Jordan Rhodes still doing bits for Huddersfield. Completely forgot he existed. Remember when he was tearing it up in this league about a decade ago.

Also big up Levi Colwill. First season as a pro. Fantastic to see.

That’s the playoffs for you. It’s the worst for your emotions, unless you are us as you kind of get used to the disappointment.
Yeah. I just an finding it hard to accept because we were just missing that clinical edge and it's a shame Ade was not fit to play :(

Hurts doesn’t it. Brewster, Bogle and Sharp picking up injuries has ruined us completely as I was very confident that we’d push Bournemouth at one stage. So much creativity and goals just gone like that.

Not seen much of Luton this season, but I was impressed with the game you gave us in the cup. We really had to dig deep to get past you. Sorry about today mate. Hope you manage to give another proper go next season.

Cheers bud. Hopefully we can hold on to our best players and add a little more quality. I bet there are some at the club that area delighted we didn't make it... Mainly because our current stadium is not PL standard

Just wait for your new stadium! Won't be long.

Keeping Adebayo is imperative for you next season, and keeping Nathan Jones too.
He is a class manager and wouldn't be surprised if there's a few teams sniffling around him again.

I hope Huddersfield don’t come up. They were atrocious (despite always beating United) when they were last up

They're a completely differnet side now (I think they only have one player remaining from their Prem stint) with a much better manager.

Also they were ok in the first season (beat us, drew with Chelsea and City away, and got a handful of big wins) - but yeh, all-time shite in the second.

I am selfish in wanting them to come up though, as it's an away game I can go to!

You sound like you've watched them more than most. What have you made of Colwill? My impression of him is the same one I had of Guehi and James in their championship loans, in that they looked ready to play a role in the Chelsea squad. Guehi and James both proved me right immediately.

His injury problems aside, which I suppose is to be expected when his body is adjusting to the intensity and number of games at the pro level, how has he been this season?

I find it so boring when the same relegated sides come straight back up.

Yep, especially when they yo-yo back down again. No offence to the likes of Norwich and West Brom, but I'd rather they stay down for a while, don't really offer much in terms of fun play style, competitiveness or novelty.

I make an exception though for Watford since they're my local club and Fulham since I love their ground.

He's been very good at Championship level - Think he'd definitely be ready to play at a Premier League level, though at a club like Palace (or Huddersfield if they do come up) as opposed to Chelsea - don't think he's ready for that sort of step up just yet (though Huddersfield do mostly play with 3 at the back - so that helps his standing)

One thing I would say though is that when he has been injured recently, Naby Sarr has come in and Town have looked just as solid - though Colwill is definitely the better player - but in general I think Corberan has just got very well drilled/organised and defensively solid as a team.

Colwill is good then good. Nobody expected chalobah play this much matches for us this season either but he was given plenty of games and looked as good as Christensen and lot better than sarr as well. So if he is looking good then tuchel will give him opportunities
