United players you have loved and hated

Liked too many players to mention over the years.Never saw it with the likes of Cruyff, Poborsky, Bebe, Bellion, Obertan, Welbeck, Cleverly etc. But they tried, gave it their best shot, they just weren't good enough.

Never really disliked or hated players until the last few years. It's not to do with the lack of succcess and much more so with the lack of effort that is so clearly visible on the pitch and constant whinging we hear about, along with the pointless social media apologies after a loss. Overpaid players completely lacking self awareness about their own performance levels. Top it off with the general toxicity and stories being leaked to the press and all that shite. Easily one of the most dislikable bunch of players I've seen at any club in all the time I've been watching football.

Lingard and Maguire top the 'hated' list currently. It's not so much that they are both well below par, but that they think and act like they are quality footballers. I can't wait for JLingz to leave the club.

Scholes is my all-time favorite United player. Loved his technique, vision, composure, but also that nasty streak he had.

Loved Denis law, George Best, Frank Stapleton, Joe Jordan, Martin Buchan, Lou Macari, Gordon Hill, Roy Keane, Eric Cantona...and that's just off the top of my head.

Dislike all the usual suspects with Pogba and Lingard top of the pile. Couldn't stand Mkhitaryan either.

I find it hard to hate players because it is just a sport; though i have mispaced my words and sait it before.

I feel like "irritating" is the right word.

Hate is a strong word... I have a strong dislike for almost all of our squad this season.

One player even though I had shirts with his name on the back that I was never really fond of was Beckham, maybe his celebrity was a turn off for me.

The one United player I can hand on heart say I did always love was RVN, I was gutted when he left. Weirdly though him leaving did coincide with what I consider to be my favourite season 06/07.

Scholes is the one for me though.

This would be my hate list. But I am a lover not a fighter so I love all of them.

I’m sick of Lingard, but find him hard to “hate”. I blame the current rotten dressing room culture more on the club than the individual players. I’ve never remotely hated Pogba, though he’s clearly been a very poor fit for United (and possibly the league) and now seems to be in physical decline.

The player I’ve loved most in the last 20 years or so has probably been Nani.

Now that’s interesting. I wouldn’t go as far as “couldn’t stand” but I never warmed to him either. Maybe because he was brought in to replace a player I regarded as superior: Mata.

I rather thought the same of Fred, who appeared to be a poor man’s Herrera. Over time I’ve got to appreciate Fred a lot more though.

I mean, not everything is down to either black or white, there are things you could love about a person, there are also things you could hate, human are supposed to have love/hate relationship, and it’s often complicated.

Or lets just put it this way, Giggs has given us credits of 100 pts but negativity of -50 pts, he still earn 50 pts credits. Greenwood has give us 0 credits but negativity of -50 pts, he is at far end of negative.

Les Sealey?

How could anyone hate Les Sealey? He came in on a free. Settled the team and helped us in the cup final replay. We’d have lost that with Leighton still in goal. Was willing to play on one leg to help us win CWC in 91 and was generally a brilliant character.

We met him as kids at the cliff and what a great guy he was. He gave us so much time….then left in an clapped out old banger

Don’t know why anyone would hate him.
