What is the reported salary offered to him? Something unimaginable I believe because Madrid was also offering him around 100m joining bonus?
There's nothing coherent at the moment. Some sources said 100M+50M wage for PSG and 180M+40M wage for Real, others said 300M bonus from PSG but who knows. You rarely get reliable info in a chaotic situation like that, clubs are pushing a narrative, some uninformed journalists are trying to pretend they have exclusive news, we'll have to wait to see what comes up.

The very same moment Mbappe's mother says both offers are almost identical, which is a blatant lie, it is easy to deduce he is going to stay at PSG.

The message she wants to send is, if he is going to stay at PSG, money is not a factor.

So now we have a chance at him in 2 years time?
Its impossible? Have we developed a small club mentaliry now? Why should we care about him "wasting his career" at PSG, when he is 23yo and MAYBE we could sign him in 2024?

Good on him. Take the generational wealth and secure your and your family's future.

Also, if the reported influence/input on PSG's direction is true, then feck me. At 23 making bags of money and having a say on the direction of one of the sport's richest clubs

I'm taking that any day over white handkerchief bandits and "he went to a proper club" twitter posts and news columns.

money > respect of couch potatoes
I'm torn, PSG have been mismanaged in the last few years and I don't know if Mbappé can supersede that. I also don't want to see him anywhere near Madrid because their arrogance has been particularly grating, if rumours are true they "abandoned" their second option, Haaland, because they think that Mbappé is/was a done deal.

For me ideally he would go to Bayern, United or stay in Ligue 1. The rest can do one.

The urgency to win the CL for Paris becomes bigger and bigger each year

If he signs 2 more years and ends up with no CL at 25, having spent 7 years of his career statpadding Ligue 1 titles, that's gonna be quite a disappointment

300 million sign on bonus?! Can't blame him for staying if true, no-one turns down that kind of money.

You keep pushing this narrative and yet still have nothing to back that up.

What about waiting until we really know what's going on?

I remember when Mbappé left Monaco, we heard the EXACT same rumors about Real Madrd no willing to match PSG's offer to Monaco because such a big club wouldn't spend that huge an amount of money for a young player blabla.
And yet, Monaco's VP himself ended up revealing that Real was willing to pay the same amount PSG did.

I think it’s fair to assume he’s going to be on an astronomical amount of money if he’s been persuaded to stay

It's quite obvious what PSG have done to change his mind.

Good on Mbappe. I also don't believe both offers were identical. For PSG, keeping him qas a matter of national pride.

No need to get agitated.
Just thinking ahead, if maybe in a couple of seasons we’re back to our usual high standards and competing for silverware, he might want to go the Premier League. And there’s only 3 clubs that can offer him a wage/image package near to what he would want.

He’ll never go to Madrid now. The fans there would never accept it after today.

'tis a silly place
As a neutral with selfish reasons, I'd have liked to see him playing in a higher profile league like Spain or England. If he's happy where he is then good luck to him.

As much as I can't stand PSG him not going to Madrid brings me a bit of joy cause they were pretty arrogant about him coming there.

Easy, they go for Lewa instead as a stop gap.
That would be silly, they have Benzema and he'll probably last as long as Lewa. I don't see the point of the 2 of them playing together. They should go for a high level right winger.

Lewandowski said no to Real before and seems dead set on Barca. And, as you said, it would be a bit complicated to play Lewy and Benz.

Madrid really messed up. They lost haaland and now mbappe has done a complete U-turn to screw them over.

In a way I’m somewhat glad that Real can’t repeat the summer where they got Alonso, Kaka, Ronaldo and Benzema. I hate the concept that all the stars are congregated into a small hand of clubs, as it makes Champions League fecking boring and predictable most years.

I wish he had signed for Real Madrid. But I doubt that someone who makes this decision has the mentality to succeed here, not on the terms RM fans except.
Come on dude. He's the talent of his generation and he would have absolutely torn it up it La Liga. This is a bit like me hitting on Ana De Armas and then claiming that she's not good enough for me when she rejects me (which she probably would).

It might be a blow to their sense of self importance short term but they'll be fine. They'll likely end up signing Tchouameni and a quality RW to join the impressive young spine they're building along with the future Ballon D'Or still being around for the next 2 years at least

That sucks. Would have been fun to see him next year destroy la liga.

Rumored 3 year contract as well? With release clauses illegal in France, it looks like he's in L1 until 2025 then.
