This is really sad. What are the PL doing allowing a club to be destroyed like this?
Because the Premier League is a morally bankrupt and corrupt entity complicit in the oilification of football and emboldening of authoritarian states to engage in sportswashing to meet their geopolitical goals.

Bet Gerrard was thinking about his statue outside Anfield when Villa scored that second goal, and yet he’s seen another PL title be ripped away in front of his eyes

30 seasons of the Premier league. Would be unthinkable that City would win that many league titles 15 years ago. Poor return for Liverpool with their history and tradition to be tied with Blackburn, Leicester. Decent cup team especially winning them on penalties but a long way off the Liverpool league title winning team i grew up watching.

Man United 13
Man City 6
Chelsea 5
Arsenal 3
Blackburn 1
Leicester 1
Liverpool 1

I'm a bad supporter.

I spent the last 45 minutes engrossed in the City game. Keeping an eye out on the Liverpool game with no care in the world for our result.

Our team was reduced to nothingness on the final day.

We’ve won two trophies and might win a third and I’m gutted for some reason.

Looks like Salah is waving his goodbyes to Anfield to me. Maybe not but bringing his wife and kid out to the crowd like that...

I remember when we lost the league on the final day and no matter what else happens you feel like the whole year was a complete let down. It’s really hard to swallow. All those late goals and big wins in big games, all worthless

I guess I'm not surprised, but this Burnley case feels particularly blatant and evil.
It's pretty much the same thing that happened United, only we make too much money for it to relegate us. The PL shouldn't have allowed it to happen in the first place and when it did happen to United they should have changed the rules to stop it from happening to anyone else.

It’s probably guilty because it’s underserved. Luck, VAR and shambolic refereeing got you this far. You’re feeling bad because other teams are more deserving.

Celebrate the league by breaking your own goalposts. Football fans are weird sometimes.

Anyway, no quadruple to talk about for another season. That's all that matters.

I think he’s going. We’ll never pay him what he wants and it’s not like FSG to lose him for free in 12 months. Farewell Origi as well. Some huge moments in his Liverpool career.
