Either bargaining for a better contract or a replacement for Dean Henderson

Think he's solidified himself as a starter at Valencia. Surely wouldn't move here just to be a backup...

If we can get him at price close to that 15 mil Euro quoted price, it's a great deal.

If we sign him, perhaps it's better to loan him back to Valencia if we don't intend to have him agressively challenge DDG for the starting spot.

Mainly stay as back up GK is very development stalling.

Does anybody know anything about his playing style?
Similar to Oblak IMO.

Great shot stopper. Agile. Quick off the line. Comfortable claiming crosses, and command penalty box, but not exactly dominating by having forwards bouncing off him if you know what meant. Kicking is not great though, but still serviceable.

"From Spain"

We see this from Spanish clubs every year. We're only linked as a marketing strategy. Don't think there's anything in this one.

We all love United
He’s number one at Valencia but coming here to be a back up? Maybe he’ll be promised he will play in all the cup competitions

Worked out pretty well last time we spent on a young goalkeeper from the Spanish league. I'm all for it. Think it was £17m for DDG.

If we nickname him 'Mama' we can sing that Queen song for him as a chant. I'm sure all our supporters can stay on tune for that one.
Imagine everytime he keeps a clean sheet, and then we do a ballad chant toward the end of the game for him.
Bohemian rhapsody? Yeah that could work.

I don't know why but I also remember this rather obscure song as well.
Now let's see if he's coming at all to begin with

He’s got a name that sounds like he was a cult hero Georgian player in the 1950s

Why waste any money on a back up, they barely play. Unless this guy will genuinely be given enough game time to challenge De Gea for first choice? Otherwise promote Heaton or get someone in on a free transfer and put the money towards other parts of the team.

Why the feck do we keep on buying keepers? It feels like we get a new one every window?

Is he the first choice goalkeeper for his country?
No. If go by their World Cup qualification games (the only games I saw Georgia play of course). No idea about what changes afterward.

It’s important to sign a back up keeper who could possibly play 5 games in the season . We love a annual goalkeeper signing. Did Henderson and Heaton make even 5 appearances this season?

Well, if Henderson is leaving in the summer, it'd make sense to sign a first-team backup, since Heaton is 36 and clearly a long-term replacement for Lee Grant.
And here's a young keeper with first team experience in La Liga (21 games this season, including cup), fairly cheap.
He's young enough to not comlain too much about being an understudy, and could potentially develop into a long-term option.
If he doesn't then he'll probably do alright as a backup until he wants to move on.

I totally agree with you about our GK signings, look at our youth teams too, we could almost have a full XI from the GKs in the U18s and U23s, but this one makes sense to me if Henderson is leaving.

I've never seen him in real life but he's been an absolute beast on Football Manager for the last 2 or 3 releases.

Easiest way to advertise a player for sale..
Valencia want 15m.. he might join some club for 8-10m.

Wonder could we tempt Gav Bazunu across from City. He’s been Ireland’s best player for the last year, is able to play ball and always makes himself available for a pass. Has made unbelievable saves for Ireland and Portsmouth including a Ronaldo penalty and seems a great lad. Still questions about his ceiling but he’s passed every test so far with flying colors.
