  • Reminder: Romano stated yesterday that Sevilla want at least €65m for Koundé
    • This is the amount to start the negotiations, not for Sevilla to accept a deal.
    • Anything less = no talks
  • According to Matt Law, Chelsea are hoping that £42m + £8m in add-ons (approx. total in €: 59m) will be enough to land Koundé.
  • Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with Koundé last year.
  • Sevilla need the money and are resigned to losing Koundé this summer.
    • My comment: this + personal terms agreed are why Chelsea are probably low-balling for Koundé
  • Chelsea won't change their strategy even if Sevilla sold Diego Carlos.
Where are they going to fit Colwill in? He’s exceptionally good. Would happily take him at United. Seems a bit odd buying players and not giving players who’ve had good loans a chance.

Kounde - Silva - Colwill as the starting 3 ?

Think we’e buying 2 new CB’s. I can see Colwill going out on a PL loan and then coming back when Silva leaves next year.

Don’t see us wasting a year of his development sitting on the bench most weeks.

I’d rather he recovers his best form and earns a starting place and is successful. Some odd fans we have who want players to fail, I don’t get it.
Nothing odd at all and it would mean someone better is playing instead. Get off your high horse.

If they get Bastoni without any serious competition from us It will show just how naive our scouting department really are.
Good lord almighy.

We have 3 centre backs leaving (Bailly, Jones and Tuenzebe) possibly one of Maguire or lindelof too we can certainly afford to bring in 2 CB's. If one had to choose between Torres and Bastoni, I know who I would choose.
Maguire and Lindeloff aren't leaving.

What's this, the usual "we can only do one thing at a time" excuse. :houllier:
Ugh.

He's 30 in December, he'll have to expect that his wages are only going to go down from now on.
Common sense would say that, you have to possess common sense though.
30 is not exactly over the hill, especially in modern day football. You'll be in your prime. Look at Kane, he'll be 29 next year. Not exactly over the hill is he. Not that Lingard is in the same league as Kane by any stretch of the imagination. But 30 isn't where you should expect wages to drop.

i shall dismount when you stop being an odd bod. Fine young man is Markus, be very happy if he excelled In his career, rather him than this someone you want to do better. You don’t get It your loss or lack of understanding.

wow, almost 550 apps in 16 seasons with Madrid, 6 La Ligas, 5 UCLS, and numerous cups, what a career as the best LB in the 2010s.
Is he more legendary than Roberto Carlos? Although his left foot isn't half as lethal, but comparing the success and trophy count, it shouldn't be even a contest.

Marcelo was the guy who'd still be attacking in 91st minute and running like a madman during extra time. Also, his passing was pretty good.

Legendary for Real or for the game? For real maybe, but also Marcelo was not playing in 2 of the finals. Also, Carlos was an important player that made Real more relevant again after almost 2 decades. For the game, I don't think so. Carlos also had a world cup winning medal, a wc finalist, and more personal awards.

Imagine if he's great yet 5 years ago most of our fans said he wasn't good enough for United and was too old
Wasn't it mourinho that wanted to offer martial going the other way for him but the board blocked it, what a mistake, one thing for sure with perisic is that he will always put in a shift on his worse days unlike martial

It wasn't a mistake at the time - paying £40 million for a player turning 30 about 6 months later would not be good value for money. Perisic has been good for the last couple of seasons, he hasnt been brilliant.

Played like a #10 and my favourite LB of the last ten years. Just unreal.

Nobody is "good enough for us" or "we have to do better" everytime a player that is not super mediatic is linked to United. It was the same with Mane, Perisic and many others. Many fans just can't understand that certain players wold make the team work, unless is an U-23 generational talent, people are going to say is average or old.

In a nutshell the sports director of Real Betis saying they are desperate for cash and need to sell.

Anyone decent at Betis? I don't think Fekir has done that's well there has he.

So will that be Melissa off to German Sky Sports?
I remember her going on and on about how she’d been over the RB and the player they were most devastated about leaving was Minamino, not Haaland. She made out that Liverpool had outsmarted the system yet again and gotten the new Kaka for £7m.

She is rather biased. Suppose it will be Bayern have outfoxed United by getting the jewels in Ajax's crown.
