Balderdash ‘’journalism’’.

People pay money to read this shameless, biased tripe?

Real Madrid scored 2 goals, but let’s not let facts get in the way of Scouse logic.

John Muller is a clown, pass it on.

Read this earlier and it was pretty embarrassing for a publication like The Athletic to be honest.

Almost all the reporting on the match, and literally all the coverage on the chaos outside from the English media has been absolute Fanzone Journalism.

Heard Oliver Holt earlier saying it was a "moral victory" for Liverpool because "Real didn't come to play". Also painted their fans like they were a travelling band of nuns "not a single fan was there to cause trouble, all perfectly behaved, all the police/UEFA's fault".

The Liverpool love in within English speaking media is sickening at the moment. It's almost like they watch a different sport, and never watch another game uninvolved Liverpool ever.

For the Courtois MOTM performance, it's nothing out of the world, and look boring in comparison to Neuer performance vs PSG, in a game Bayern had the upper hands. Some (or a couple) great saves for Courtois but nothing superhuman, riddiculous.

It's just a Klopp team typical performance where they shoot a lot regardless how well guarded opposition defensive set up is.

Smart business. Appeal to all the Liverpool fans who will be feeling miserable today and are desperate to read about how wonderful they are.

Even the German press were up to it defending their golden boy, Klopp.

Courtois has been fantastic in this tournament(and la liga too), but its not our fault teams refused to score, one of them should just have taken their chances, simple.

City and Chelsea gave Madrid tougher games. Liverpool looked gassed for the first time all season in the second half.

Madrid had a perfectly good goal ruled out too.

They looked gassed in a few games towards the end. It definitely caught up with them.

Question.

How many 3-on-2's and 2-on-1's did Real have in the 2nd half? Anyone know? Somehow they're not chances.
This is true and the oft quoted 3 shots ignores their 'offside' goal and some good counters which were absolutely fluffed on their part, but some of these were also created by Liverpool being 1-0 down. So I dunno, either way, Salah aside, I didn't see some wild Liverpool dominance, RM we're happy to lap it up and looked comfortably doing so.... some make out as RM played like United and should of lost 5 or 4 nil.

I don't think it's a case of if it's played 10 times, Liverpool win 9 either. Which is probably what I would say for City vs RM, well maybe 8 times.

What an embarrassment   . I think it is hard to accept for some of these journalist that their all time greatest Liverpool side is actually not that great. You just can't press and win against highest quality players like Modric.

It was only mere hours ago I saw a video from last night of not one, but TWO, Liverpool scumbags sucker-punching a Madrid supporter outside the stadium after the game, FFS!

Yeah. My point was that journalists shouldn't feel so bad about Liverpool.
Oh right. Sorry I misinterpreted that one. They wouldn't have given a feck if the game had gone the other way with similar stats. It'd have been 'the mighty mentality monsters weathered the storm, showed grit and resilience and scored the decisive goal blah blah blah'. If you fail to score in a final you don't deserve a huge amount imo.

At this rate, may as well complain about why allowing goalkeeping involve hands and arms in a sport called football.

Kroos seems like a likeable guy.

He was really Kroos in that interview, the interview stepped Klose and acted like a real Kuntz.
