Why are people still repeating 100k, that’s the contract he signed in 2016, he signed a contract in 2018 at a higher wage.

What is his motivation to join Bayern? Try to win the CL? They have no competition in the domestic league, this is such a weird career move.

7 goals, 2 assists, in the first 12 premier league games.
Salah had 7 goals and 4 assists in his final 13 games (Feb - May) so even when on holiday he was equalling Mane (and dominated him overall) to be fair so it was a case of one dragging Liverpool forward while the other performed averagely at best.

It just shows how much more is expected from Salah that Mane will be commended for that performance over 12 games and Salah will be denigrated for similar contributions.

From my perspective his wish wanted to be closer to Salzburg again since he still has many connections there and maybe wanted a new challenge at all.

Assuming Lewa is going to Barcelona, Mane will be top dog at Bayern, main striker and has an actual chance to go for Golden Boot. Plus, less pressure in the league. And Munich is a nice town too.

Yup think he's absolutely sick of playing second fiddle to Salah too.

Win more domestic league titles perhaps? Let's not forget Liverpool have only won the one in the last few years.

Also, perhaps just a different environment and challenge and much better pay obviously

He's guaranteed a couple of titles with Bayern but I think pay is the main issue here. We wouldn't give him what he thought he was worth so he left.

Nah I've seen people post that he might be more key than Salah over the last couple of years. Mane gets his fair share of praise on here.

I'd imagine the boy is just trying to get paid.

He's spent the last few years overperforming and underpaid by an outfit who spend like Daniel Levy but who are written about like the Dalai Lama.

To go to a league without City. Can't have been fun putting in all that effort to win one league title in 6 prime years.

I wonder if he’ll play through the middle for Bayern.

Sane - Mane - Coman

Probably will if Lewa leaves. Would probably work quite well given he has good linkup play and wouldn't need to track back as much as on the wings.

Also they have Gnabry - a pretty good set of wide forwards to have. All 26 and can learn from Mane. Very good transfer for Bayern.

Gnabry and Coman have been in a squad with Robben und Ribery - do they need Mane to learn?

Mane is at a difficult point in his career which all wingers go through, where you have to make the transition from winger to central attacker.

Once you get over 30 it's difficult to still be a world class winger as your game depends on speed and agility. Over the last 6 months he played more up top and his form improved.

I see Nagelsmann using him like he did Werner at RB Leipzig, he's more than good enough to take the golden boot in Germany, just a question of whether he is clinical enough to be the top man in a Champions League Quarter or Semi Final.

Reminder that Coman has played pro football for 11 years in 3 different clubs and has won 11 league titles

Mane almost won the quadruple playing in the best premier league team ever in the whole wide world in the history of football. Sure they can learn from him.
Bayern's sextuple was nothing?

Oh, I know, the mighty EPL...

Juventus, PSG, Bayern. Quite a daunting and out of this world challenge.

fecking hell I'd hate to have a bloke with that nobody-can-teach-me-anything-attitude that you have in my squad. It's not a slight on any leagues or players saying they can learn from a new player.

People are still repeating 100k per week

Propaganda at its best.
Funny how all their players are apparently on a pittance but there's virtually no difference between their wage bill and ours

Such a weird Transfer??

Bayern are paying him £360k p/w net

not so weird now is it, he’d have got no where near that sum at Liverpool

People dress it up too much saying it’s to win more league titles, it’s too not be second fiddle to Salah, for new change bla bla bla…..bore off snoozy wonderlands, all that is probably 5% of his reasons

Liverpool weren’t sing his tunes salary wise, Mane held out to see what other offers might come in for what he wants, in comes Bayern with the money counters and they counted the right amount of money to fit into the lyrics of the tune Mane wanted aka 95% oh the reason he’s going.

And although I’m gutted, He’s been class for 6 years, I also bare no grudge for doing what he’s done

but I’m not being fooled into it wasn’t all about money

£360k a week mate, all the talking needed
