What a relief Pogba isn’t our problem this year. Wondering when he’ll come back from him 12 holidays, all of which are a month long

Don’t know if anyone remembers the summer we signed him? Should have been a warning.
He should have married Colleen Rooney, so they could spend half the year in Barbados together.

This new season seems to start quicker than usual. It’s been barely a month since last season ended, wasn’t it?

Season starts earlier because of the World Cup. Most of our players will have a mid season break as they either don’t get into their National sides, or their country didn’t qualify.

Which is why the transfer window closes on 1 September. The new season start dates, transfer window dates, and season end dates have been compressed the past 3 seasons because of the pandemic, delayed Euros, and now WC. It's been a cluster the past 3 years.

Even after the players who were out of contract leaving, look at all that deadwood still. :(
Imagine how many will refuse to train if they don't like ETH making them do some work.

We really need a strong manager to make these players start beliving again and want to work hard.

Martial gonna have a shocking few days.

If, they have to be removed to reserve team, two weeks wages off, until they are sold. Otherwise, they will down tools and Erik will be sacked. Sounds familiar?

15 players coming in tomorrow. I assume some of the younger players as well.

David de Gea, Dean Henderson, Tom Heaton; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Eric Bailly, Phil Jones, Axel Tuanzebe, Brandon Williams, Luke Shaw; Donny van de Beek; Amad, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial.

I assume that EtH's transfer wishlist is being put on hold until he sees how well the youth/fringe players in our problem positions perform in preseason.

With that in mind, the next few weeks are going to be huge for Amad, Garner, Laird, Garnacho, AWB and Williams.

It's probably also the reason we haven't tried to sign anyone in their positions yet (other than FdJ, who's likely being bought to be Ten Hag's lieutenant on the pitch regardless of his competition).

Just looking through the pre season fixtures I don't think Eric will have much time with the players on the pitch.

For commercial reasons we've gone out to the far east and Australia.

It's rainy season out in Thailand so the lads will probably spend most their time in the hotel.

Then we''re in Australia where again its winter and the facilities for football are poor in comparison to the U.S.

We could have got a very good competitive tour out in the U.S. where the facilities are state of the art and it's perfect pre season weather.

If you think you're having a bad Monday spare a thought for poor Ten Hag seeing firsthand how poor his squad is this morning.

Absolutely gushing down with rain, and the only players returning are the ones deemed not good enough to play for their countries. Welcome to Manchester Erik.
