Hope we sign him. Right back is a major position we need to improve.

We all love United
Some Dutch posters have him as a brainless player which is a little worrying though they have also mentioned he’s a very determined and gritty personality on the pitch

From what I've seen, basically something like Antonio Valencia is my impression. Valencia had a few excellent years at RB anyway IMO. More system based to get the most out of them.

He's actually very smart and cunning on the pitch, the type who will always give a little push or step on someones toes when the ref is not watching, and he's also very intelligent and self aware off the pitch. He just has no technique or composure, so he looks like a mad bull at times which I imagine led to the brainless comments. Like others are saying, he's a bit like Valencia, only with even less technical ability and marginally less pure pace. Fantastic athlete though, incredible determination and mentality.

Absolutely love the guy, Denzel would be a dream signing from a personal POV and I think objectively a very good RB option for us compared to what we have now, at least for the price quoted.

Would be a great bench option coming if we plan on moving AWB.
Bit underwhelming if he's the starting RB

ETH will invite a lot of pressure if he buys 3 Dutch + 1 Non Dutch Eredivisie players I feel.

Dumfries is a massive upgrade on Dalot and AWB, but there are some other interesting options surely.

Can you post it?

By "strange" I mean almost everything positive he does seems to happen in the opposition third and penalty area. Both in terms of being a goal/assist threat and his pressing/tackling. Then outside of that, barely involved.

We can’t just be signing Dutch players, that’s a bit on the nose. Do we not have a real scouting network or something?

Sacked the majority of it didn’t we. We are buying what the manager wants which can both be positive and negative.

Or probably more likely we aren’t actually interested in all of these players.

I see huge benefits in bringing in players from Dutch youth systems familiar with the style Ten Hag will bring to United. It also gives him allies in camp and examples on the training ground.

It won't be forever, but whilst we are getting the initial groundwork done, it's an important factor and will mean that future transfer targets can slot into the system without detriment.

It's getting a bit ridiculous now isn't it.
It is. Dumfries isnt even that great. Yes he can make the runs forward, but he's not that great once he gets the ball. Ten Hag should know that. Honestly I think this is an example of very lazy journalism.

FDJ isn't someone we should ignore because of his nationality - pretty sure you would agree.

The left back - are there options who is okay to be a backup and is available for 15m ? If yes, please name them. He is also an exciting prospect.

Right back - I agree there could be better options for the quoted money but it's just a media BS.

Do not want. I'm all for signing whoever ETH wants even if it means signing the entire dutch national team but this guy does not have the technical ability required and isn't much of an upgrade on AWB/ Dalot for me.

Not sure about this guy, I think he also one from the Raiola stable so there will be a lot of hype and rumours floating around all the time.

It may have been covered here somewhere but don’t Inter owe us money? Maybe Dumfries could offset that debt or vice versa depending on how much.

Looks like reports are accurate that the list from our scouting department has been torn up to focus on ten Hag's own targets.

The stats seem to suggest he is very good in attacking areas in terms of output, but that he hardly gets the ball at Inter. Very low passes. Also dodgy looking defensive stats except for aerially, although this probably isn't something that is easily read through stats.
