Silva you could argue has hit his peak, but Broja surely has more room to grow. Who would you suggest we look at?
Broja is too raw, scored only 6 goals last season and his stats in general aren't really good.

If Ten Hag wants someone proven, Gnabry is a good bet. I like Ekitike from Reims as a player who's ready to take the next step.

Ayye fair enough. I guess it brings home how sparse the options are at the moment that an unproven youngster like Broja isn't immediately dismissed. Gnabry looks a decent shout, though doesn't seem likely without overpaying on wages I'd assume? Ekitike I've heard of but haven't seen anything from.

If I had to plump for two 'Realistic' if certainly not cheap options, but who I think would leave us sorted for at least a 2 or 3 quality years, I'd go for either Schick or Moussa Dembele. Schick the fancier looking player but I think a bigger risk in terms of, will his goals translate to the PL. Dembele not quite as slick from what I've seen but clearly knows how to find the back of the net, and Ligue 1 does seem to translate well.

It's a fecker of a position to be in with all the surgery we already needed to do to this shambolic squad. Over to you Murtough ..

Someone who won't have been mentioned that much, if at all, who I believe has so much potential, is Joao Pedro of Watford.

I like Schick's style but he renewed his contracts recently.

Dybala would actually fit Ten Hag's system but he rejected United before and gets injured a lot.

Why are people so against Dybala? I haven't watched him play in years, but I thought he was alright? Would've thought It'd be a decent option considering he would be free

I've never really seen him have a great game but he does show flashes of being a truly all-around quality #9. Only 20 though, probably made more sense if Cristiano was staying and he was being brought in to back him up for a year then fight for the shirt with a new 9.

Ah, I didn't realise that. I'd be dead against dybala personally. Just feels like a disaster waiting to happen.

Perhaps a really productive winger ala Diaby would be a better shout, with some rotation of Bruno / Rashford / god-forbid-Martial stepping in at #9 while we find the right man.

Hello colleagues, I see in Serge Gnabry the perfect replacement for Cristiano, who is a versatile player, able to play as a right winger and a second striker. The Bayern Munich player has the mentality of a winner, technique, finishing a shot, knows how to participate in the construction of attacks and take part in pressing the opposing defense. Serge Gnabry is an ETH challenge not to be missed!

no one is improving martial, he had a chance to restart in a slightly less physical league, with a club playing to his strengths and barely mustered one goal, his performances were shocking too.

the two you mentioned are going to be extortionately priced this summer, if we bid they are going to want big payouts.

most likely is icardi or we play eriksen as a false 9

Martial surely can't have as bad a season as before but I could easily be proved wrong. I'm not expecting fireworks from him but he should be able to get 10 goals in the league in a ETH system. Scamacca, perhaps as PSG have put in a 50m bid for him but Ekitike will be cheaper. Newcastle had a 30m bid accepted a month ago but he doesn't want to go there. If we get 12-15m for Ronaldo, added to the saving on his wages, we could afford him relatively easily.

We will replace ronaldo with a group effort. Sancho will be outstanding, rashford is so bad when his confidence is low but could be very good with a new appetite, martial might realise he needs to work to fulfill his potential and in doing so chip in 15 or 20, elanga, Bruno and hopefully 1 more hard working animal busting with desire to ease the goalscoring burden. Forgive me for being optimistic but I see a good season ahead if these lads play to their full ability and ronaldo fecking off will be a godsend.

Can’t we just swap Ronaldo with Timo Werner from Chelsea
Werner would suit our new style of play
He o o won’t score as many goals as Ronaldo but he would bring much more to the team.

I've mentioned him previously, but not sure it would be good for replace Ronaldo, bit too much pressure.

If we could somehow rotate him to alleviate the pressure, I'd be very much in favour of him.

Tbh if this club had any real ambition and truly believed in ten hag they have a world class manger then they should be backing to the hills and already have plans in place to get another striker this season instead of being typically naive, content and complacent in banking on a 37 year old to stay fit and carry the goal load for the team, we don’t even have a competent back striker for him god sake.

Don't think he would entertain a move to us, also the links to him have been loose and don't see that changing at all

I’ve been saying this myself. Think he has a massive ceiling and looked second half of season that he was ready for PL

I liked "backing to the hills", I love misquoted sayings, one of my favourite things about the internet, I'm not looking to make anyone into a space goat :lol:

I think I will stay using these phrases: The manager just was only back to the lowlands (or the valleys). So it was inevitable that he looked like a space goat.
