He needs to play regularly, a good loan or cheaper sale with a buy back clause is what we should be looking for.

Should've sold him right after his Aston Villa loan while in Champioship, his stock was high, that is what Liverpool and City do sometimes.

Now, best we can get is 10M, the sooner he is sold the better for everyone else.

Agreed. We aren't good at realising when to sell.

Elanga is a good example. I don't think he's ever going to make it here. If he was at Liverpool they'd of shipped him somewhere like Brentford for 18m.

The only reason I want Elanga to stay as of now is because we do not have enough forwards in the squad (as of now, only 5 forwards and I do not count Amad & Pellistri), otherwise, I agree that he is sellable asset, maybe with a buyback clause in case he truly flourishes.

Ffs if it’s a small issue bloody solve it by FaceTime. This guy’s last chance to impress is this pre season but of course something has to come up.
Hopefully it’s a smokescreen (for whatever reason) for a transfer. I like him but he’s missed the chance I feel. Better to sell him for something before his stock falls again.

Tuanzebe sure, we've held on too long.

But we're not overdue at selling Elanga. He only made his debut last season and we're short on wide players. There's a bit more time there to make a decision.

Tuanzebe though, he just can't get his career going. Strange for what appears a pretty smart guy. Leaving the pre season another example. Even if its to arrange a move elsewhere, why not have it sorted already?

There’s a mistake in OP with regards to when his contract ends:
“The 24-year-old signed a new contract in the summer, keeping him at Old Trafford until June 2023 with the option to extend by another year.“

Physique is one of the things that matters to football players. I dont get the craze with the social media pics and athletes showing their body with stupid captions. Some of them should probably spend less time in the gym and more in understanding the game or improve their techinque. Tuanzebe always had good physical traits. However, he has stagnated and it feels like he as raw as an 19 years old kid regarding every aspect of his game.

Exactly this. Tuanzebe, Williams, Henderson. All 3 had in one moment high value. That was time for sell.

That's what happens when you have a director of football who's in charge of the long term vision of the club vs allowing managers to call the shots fully. A manager would rather keep a player for options than maybe cash in. Like how Ole turned down a £20m bid for Lingard, just to keep around as an option.

That’s all fable. There’s no director football that would sell a player that the manager tells him he wants to keep, and the player is happy to stay.

That said, Axe should have been sold a long time ago.

Not sure how genuine but seem to be a couple of bits from Turkey today suggesting Trabzonspor are interested.

Hope its true. I had high hopes for him being a u18, u23 captain, so much hype around him. Very good on the ball and super quick, but whether its confidence or just prem football being a step too far for him it seems he's just not that guy. The thing that has disappointed me the most with him is for a defender he seems to be pretty weak with aerial duals and generally physical duels. If we can get 10-20mil for him we should take it.

Really? Clubs sell players over the manager’s head all the time. And they always have done.

Bobby Charlton resigned as PNE manager in 1975 after a player he wanted to keep was sold.

He’s 24 with 59 total career appearances.

For his own sake he needs to go.

If they need him sold for financial reasons. They wouldn’t sell a player for footballing reasons.

The talent is there but a combo of injuries and a lack of self confidence, I think brings him down. I want to see him sold so he can revive his career, I really want to see him succeed, have been a fan of him for a while.

I feel I'm being too harsh saying this but o doubt he'll ever make it here.
We should try to cash in on him if possible.

According to the information written by friends in the foreign press: Trabzonspor, both club Man for the transfer of Tuanzebe. He signed with Utd as well as the player himself.
  • Loan until end of season + £8m purchase ops.
  • Man Utd will pay 20% of his salary.
  • He will come to Turkey this week

If they're needing us to pay 20% of his modest salary, there's no way they're going to afford £8m are they? What a brain dead loan move this would be. The Turkish league won't even raise his profile much in terms of his value. Not to mention after the loan, he'd only have a year left on his contract, which means we'll sell him for peanuts. Stupid club, run by utterly stupid people.

Should've at the least loaned him to Villa when they went up. He would've started a lot of games.

We're going to make the same mistake again with Garner.
