I don't know, it depends if you mostly want to bash fast lot of goblins and others or if you want to see Zelda and the champions. It is mostly an easy game even if playing one of the divine beasts can be frustrating. I don't think the characters are that different from the memories. So I liked seeing the rito champion belittle Link.

I played a lot the first Hyrule Warriors (also found it harder but it was the first game of this kind I played) and liked a lot some of its weapons and I didn't find as enjoyable the weapons of the second... or maybe one game was enough for me.
I watched some of the game play footage of both Hyrule games and they look a bit too chaotic to me. I might give them a go at some stage but I think I'll finish Mario Odyssey and then give Link's Awakening a try.

Just got into BOTW and may consider it to be one of the best games I've ever played. Is there a dedicated thread to it? Tried searching but with no success

Kirby got good reviews but as with most Kirby games it's meant to be really easy, and short.

It'll be the kind of game I grab sometime I trade a load of stuff in at CEX.

If I was to mostly use the switch on the TV (partner already has switch lite), is there a benefit to getting the OLED version? I thought it was meant to be 4k but doesn't seem like that when I read the product description.

When they're docked they're both practically the same (1080p 60fps max). The OLED has a larger internal storage capacity but that can be extended with a micro SD anyway.

That 4k stuff was just speculation before they announced the OLED model.

Mario Sunshine is on Super Mario 3D All-Stars, it is a limited edition (also includes Mario 64 and Mario Galaxy) that isn't produced any more and it isn't sold any more on the eshop but there are probably still new copies found (and of course the second-hand ones).

There is no news about Wind Waker on Switch

Sunshine is in the All Stars collection. No idea about wind waker.

feck all that though. Get Hollow Knight, Cuphead & Celeste.

Best three games I've played in a long long time.

Got Lego Star Wars as an Eid present on the switch as I find the Lego games enjoyable on the go and the graphics on earlier versions were fine but the hardware is really showing it's age with this version. Really poor graphics when you're playing it handheld.

I was under the impression the developers of the Lego games never try hard to make/port the games for Switch because in their mind the Switch is for kids and kids don't care about graphics. They may be right about kids not caring about graphics but most of them also hate more loading times and may be more upset by crashes.

The other ports are completely fine graphically when playing handheld. I think because this Lego game seems a big step up compared to the earlier ones it's struggling to cope completely on old hardware. I think updates should hopefully improve it though. I've read that it's better when playing on TV.

I believe the developers rewrote the game engine for this one, and it is a lot nicer graphically, so it's no surprise the Switch isn't the best platform to play it on. I'm going to wait for a Steam sale and pick it on for PC.

The best Lego game on the switch is still Lego City Undercover, I reckon. Most disappointing is Marvel Superheroes 2, and I must admit I've bought a couple in sales I've yet to play, despite these being some of my favourites to play a few years back, especially in multi-player with my wife and kids.

It'd be nice if they bundled up the now-defunct Lego Dimensions stuff and just made all the characters unlockable, because there was some really good stuff on that.

Was thinking of replaying Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze but it's 50 pounds for an eight year old game I've already played on the Wii U. What gives?!

My Switch has really been gathering dust lately. Any exciting exclusives coming out this year?

Not exclusives but Fall Guys has just come out on the Switch. And I just bought TMNT Shredder's Revenge which is good fun.

Nintendo bell curve. One of those games that probably dropped to £30 or even £25 when it was released but the longer time goes on it creeps back up.

I imagine something similar will happen with Paper Mario.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3 and Pokémon Scarlet/Violet are the ones I want to play.

I really like a lot Pokémon Legends and may try later Fire Emblem Warriors : Three Hopes (a musou) if the story is as engaging than Three Houses.

There was a Nintendo Direct for 3rd party games earlier today.

Big takeouts for me was the new Monkey Island game, Persona 3 & 4 Golden coming to the switch and a new Bomberman game.

October is a huge month.
