Unusual composure for his age. Could be another Rashford where we didn't expect he'd look so natural making the step up.

I'm defo in the Dont Loan him out camp now. Give him minutes Erik!

Kid is class. Give him minutes. We could have our own Gavi or Pedri. Please don't loan out . No one would give him minutes because of his size and age. Let him learn from Eriksen and FDJ.

Another good game. He should definitely be in the squad this season.

He's got that low centre of gravity style of play where he seems to be able to turn on the spot, very good trait for a midfielder. Him and savage look like very good prospects.

Looks absolute quality, low centre of gravity, turns so quickly and then has gone by his man, needs to stay and learn from FDJ and Eriksen.

I really like how comfortable Zidane is taking the ball to feet. He doesn't panic when pressed and he has the technical ability to make space for himself. That's so important in the build up.

Think this the second time im saying this (and being lazy) but Savage needs a thread.
but Zidane and Savage midfield duo is surreal. And it works so well.

Wasn't he the one with crazy legs when he was a kid?

Matured so quickly, what a baller.

Another cool display. He always searching for a gap to run into or take risk with interesting pass.

Can't be bored with him on the pitch.

The name is very unfortunate because in a few years’ time the other guy will be known as bald Zidane.

He looks great, hopefully if he doesn't go on loan he gets some good minutes this season

Early days and all that but I always love a suprise. Zidane has possibly jumped the line into our first team just like McT did some years ago. Two players I watched playing in the youth teams that I never tought could be a first team player for United.

His tecnique and center of gravity is so satisfying to watch. Its really difficult for the opponent to take the ball from him, and he seems to have developed his strenght which gives him a chance to make it in the mens game.

It will be exciting to see if EtH will take a chance on him this year or if he will go out on loan.

Why wasn't he highly rated before? I remember countless posts in the last two years where people said that he'll never make it here. I didn't watch his games so I genuinely wonder.
I have the same question. Also, was he playing in midfield or part of the forward line?

Sometimes playing with better players (or a better manager) can really bring out your potential. Or just played in the right system and position.
You see that with some players at lower teams where they stick around too long and potential gets wasted.

Remember last season when we felt that our midfielders don't make make themselves available to receive a pass from defenders? Zidane does exactly the opposite and always finds space to receive a pass. He's technically excellent, but he's also brave enough to seek the ball all the time. Honestly a real talent that we should try to integrate in the first team as soon as possible.

Will ETH give him league minutes this season I wonder. He should certainly play the cups.

I think we should also consider that both he and savage were playing with a very experimental front 4 ahead of them and new and inexperienced full backs either side. Their options have been limited in terms of being progressive with their passing. Imagine they had a confident Shaw, Sancho, Rashford, Martial and most importantly Bruno to play off. More movement and more willingness to recieve the ball gives them better options. Could see either looking quite comfortable in a more full strength side.

Probably won't make sense for a lot of people. But as a British Asian, it makes us very proud. We love football like everyone else, amateur football is full of us playing. But we have never seen one our own make it and it'sa bit disheartening. If he does make it, will be massive for us.

I think it was mainly down to his physicality. He’s always been very good technically. I’m sure those who doubted him previously will be more than happy to be proved wrong!
